This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grand Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 is a treat to be able to review. The watch is a 180th anniversary limited edition of 75 pieces which debuted at SIHH in 2013. 1833-2013 can be read at 6 o'clock. The watch is 43.5mm across the case, in platinum extra white, and is 15.5mm thick with a lug to lug size of 51mm. The watch isn't overbearing, even though it is heavy.
The clasp on the strap is engineered out of 100 parts and allows for incremental adjustments.
The dial of the watch is quite extraordinary with the star being the Gyrotourbillon 3.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, JLC are the kings of watch making....they provide movements to Patek, AP and Vacheron Constantin....what else do you need to know? And yet....they are still not properly appreciated so you can buy truly great watches far cheaper than some of the competition mentioned...I did and I will continue to do so!

I’ve only just started getting into watches over the last half year or so, but what JLC does blows my mind and leaves me stunned. The watch you reviewed here will, for me, embody my vision of the most perfect time piece. This may change, but as of now, in this time and culture that I live in, this is it. There is such a beautiful sense of luxury and practicality and sophistication all so beautifully intertwined in this piece that I’m am just left with a feeling of awe. And your video certainly does it justice.

No meaning of any tourbillon because it turns always the same.. There is no relation with gravity and watches orientation with the ground... Its just turning

no point of any non-digital watch as they are all less accurate than their digital counterparts..... doesnt matter one bit. I still have a nice jlc meteorite... I could care less if its less accurate than my phone

That guy i mean tourbillon doesnt have any effect against gravity. Because it does not compansate against gravitational differences as it turns always the same way no matter your watch orientation against the ground...

Right.. but at the end of the day my point was that it doesn't matter. Does a tourbillion counteract the changes of gravity? no. does it look cool? yes. Would anyone ever need a moon phase complication? no. Does it look cool? ya. Watches have not been about sheer practicality in a long time
