He has gotten so good at playing the drums that he can do what he loves without stress or worry, I think that is something we should all aspire to accomplish .
2:32 Love the Legend of Zelda reference by the vibraphone player, and the bass player’s authentic reaction 😂 Amazing cover as always, and my personal favorite
The best part about this is that everyone is so damn good, lol. At first you're like, "Damn, that's some smooth trumpet playing" then you're like "Man, what _sexy saxaphone!"_ then the xylophone guy nails a solo, then the drummer kills it -- y'all are just so freakin' good!! You're taking these classic melodies and turning them into magic \(^-^)/
Norman is so WILD!! He had me going during his solo. I mean he went OFF lol Also, love how the tempo at the end started rising, just like in the actual game when you're playing Blue Sphere. Awesome!
That ending has me with the goofiest smile, just imagining the energy in that room. It’s so wild that somehow the drum solo at the end still sounded like the melody even though it’s all percussion. Absolutely incredible work here fellas.
Big shout outs to Jake Chapman tho, my guy is hitting the vibraphone about as fast as Norman is drumming and running that melody as well. I’m so blown away by all the spectacular talent across the board here. Bravo guys
Just discovered you guys - love what you do with the music I grew up loving. On a side note, Trumpet player's "wtf was that?" reaction to his minor screw up at 2:17 is classic.
The original composer of this song is named Yoshiaki Kashima. It was originally composed to an canceled arcade game named SegaSonic Bros, then slightly re-arranjed for the Sonic 3. Here is the original music for SegaSonic Bros: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UnvTVzMa8XQ.html
Love the song, but always hated playing the stages because I worried I'd get dizzy from them. I also hated hitting the star balls and bouncing back into a red sphere, forcing me to wait until the next time to go for the Chaos Emerald again.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles was such an iconic moment from my childhood. I absolutely love the way you all performed this piece, the hype and joy was positively infectious, you were all so talented here but I do have to give an extra shout-out for the drummer, we went off to another level there
Awesome job by all of you here. MY favorite part is the expressions and motions of the drummer. And I love the addition of the Marimba as an instrument. Really added to the range of sounds.
Meu Deus!! Isso é uma das melhores performance que já vi na vida!!! Que perfeição!! Que arranjos magníficos e que qualidade dos instrumentos!! Não me canso de ouvir!! Eu agradeço muito por ter a oportunidade de apreciar isso!!!
absolutely incredible cover, i love it! after potentially hundreds of listens ive only just noticed your poor double bassist's sheet music being nearly blown away by the sheer force of swag being generated by the drummer. can someone check on him. is he ok
INCREDIBLE cover, with INCREDIBLE improvisation! The brass guys totally nailed it (especially the sax) and WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT DRUMMER?! Spectacular job!
So I'm a classically trained percussionist who also loves playing mallet instruments. I'm not this good and can't improve for shit because I don't have Jazz training but we're around :)
Alright, guys, I love your work, but hearing loss is no joke, please use hearing protection! I don't want to see you go like Danny Elfman, who ended his band Oingo Boingo because he was suffering from hearing loss
That highest vibe note at 2:56 just sends chills through my whole body every single time I listen to it. Not sure what it is, but that part right there just sends me
Holy crap. This jam could bring the dead back to life, it's so lively. Just heard a second time at 1.25x, that was sheer awesomeness. Kind of afraid my speakers will start to smoke and catch on fire if I play it any faster lol.
YEAH, GET IT! This is awesome. I always loved this upbeat, wild, jazzy composition in the game. Used to just keep playing in it as long as possible to keep hearing the music until I inevitably hit a red sphere.
THIS MADE MY DAY! as a kid i always dreamed of a band doing the full ost of this game live. kinda whats going on here. Love what you do, keep it up, you make lots of people happy!
