Mijnsherenlaan fire station responds to a call for a kitchen fire. Once they arrive the owner informs them of a pan which caught fire while it was standing on the stove. The strange thing is that the owner of the house hasn't cooked anything for the last four days. Watch along and see how quickly an image can change.....
The incident was eventually scaled up to a such called 'very large fire'. Not because of the big flames, but because the fire was really hard to reach and the amount of people that were needed to put an end to the fire.
Check out their channel too:
/ @brandweerkazernemijns...
With the RU-vid channel of Fire 24/7 we want to show people more of the world fire fighters live in. Everyone can leave a reaction (ask questions, leave tips, share tops etc.) to the footage they see. This way we can learn from you in an informal way. Learning from the videos in an official way, we only do internally. The footage (from for example the fire brigade responding to a call) that are being shared on this channel are recorder with GoPro camera's en then edited into one video.
We try very hard to ensure the privacy of the care providers and victims involved. Victims and others involved are blurred unless something else has been agreed on. Caretakers who aren't blurred have given permission to be in the video.
The blue thumbs up is seen as a sign of respect to those involved!
If you have any questions or comments regarding the channel or any particular video, you can contact us via info@fire247.nl.
This channel and the content on it were made with the approval of Brandweer Flevoland.
Every single Saturday at 08:30 there will be uploaded a new video from Fire 24/7.

Een prachtige actie, maar jammer dat de overheid de waarde van de brandweer zo onderschat.

Wat geweldig goed gezien zeg. Spiegeling in de ramen van de overkant laten de brand zien.

I think it is very smart to have used gear replaced with fresh gear on site. It allows for faster redeployment in case of another fire.

I have a video request. I am curious how facepiece attaches to the helmet and a seal is obtained. All the helmets sold in US even European style the helmet must be removed to put on mask/facepiece. Great job gentlemen.
@charlesmallo
@charlesmallo 4 года назад
The facepiece is snapped on to the helmet and the straps are tightened to obtain the seal. Easy, quick, effective.

@@charlesmallo sounds good. All the fit testing in US Fire Service we have to do, would like to see European in action. Always see 1st person.

@@michaelailer5623 in this video you can kind of see how it's attached: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DpiOJDSZ-Dc.html The metal braces on the side have springs in them so the mask is pulled against your face. I'm still a trainee in belgium, and the tests we get taught are: 1. Close of the respiratory device (i have no clue what it's called in english, but it's the piece you click on your mask that brings the air in). And then open the air supply, so there's pressure in the system. Now immediately clos the air supply again and see if the pressure stays the same or doesn't drop quickly (testing for leaks in the device itself, not the mask). Also check if pressure is at least 280 bar 2. Let the air out of the system again and check if the whistle works if pressure is getting low. 3. Reset the air intake to close it again, open the air supply again, click it onto your mask. Then hold the reset button on the mask and inhale strongly to check if there are any leaks in the mask. If there are, you'll feel air coming in. 4. Put two fingers inbetween the seal and your cheek to see if air goes out (it should because theres a 3 millibar overpressure inside the mask. Hope this can answer the question a little bit. Fitting the mask takes some getting used to for trainees like me, but once you get the hang of it it's way faster and easier than taken the helmet of and fitting one with straps

Another difference with the US Fire Service is that our fire fighters can mask up and get the air flowing before leaving the truck. All they have to do then is grabbing the pre-connected lines and start pouring the wet stuff on the red stuff.
@michaelailer5623
@michaelailer5623 4 года назад
@@charlesmallo I agree, I have posted several places it is now against regulations to wear helmet or mask up while apparatus is moving. Those items are supposed to be secured. My old department bought 2019 Engine, one compartment had to be designated for helmet and mask storage. Also US firefighter has to be in lap and shoulder belt be apparatus moves. It is almost impossible to pack up with belts on. Staffing requirements per NFPA 1710 before a Firefighter enters a danger zone is a discussion unto itself. How strict are regulations enforced? It caries obviously by videos posted. One thing for sure if something happens all the Regulatory Agencies will pull their books out and start citing violations.

@TheAquaPlanning
@TheAquaPlanning 4 года назад
