You'll get through it 💙 It's quite normal.. A lot of people had experienced it. Patience is the key💙 and Hyram has really helped my skin with the information he's spreading. So, knowing that you're here, it's already a right decision..
I understand you girl, I had bad cystic acne too until I went to the dermatologist and went on acutane. Seriously can’t believe it took me so long to go to the dermatologist but I recommend it!!
I feel you. I had horrible acne all throughout middle school and being in high school I’ve finally gone to a dermatologist. They tried many different prescription medication and recommended many different cleansers. After another year of things not working, I was put on acutane and all of my acne has cleared up within a few months. However I do have a lot of scarring and tend to feel insecure. Just know that things aren’t always perfect but they will get better ❤️

@@riapatelll while hyram is not a dermatologist (and has never claimed to be) he is a skincare specialist and does this for a job, not just RU-vid. I'm not sure if he still works there but he used to. Hope this helped :)
@@riapatelll I don't understand this argument because a lot of people on RU-vid are not expert and we still follow their advice. For example Cristine is not a nail technician and James Charles is not a professional MUA but no one is saying they shouldn't have a platform or that people shouldn't follow their advice. We trust them because they have more knowledge and experience than us and also the entertainment factor. Hyram has never said that he's a better than a dermatologist instead he's just giving his opinion on products based on his preference about skincare and his research and definitely has made the skincare journey a lot easier for some people. If you have a problem with your skin you shouldn't even listen to professionals on RU-vid, you should look advice from a dermatologist that could personally look at your skin. This is just entertaining and you eventually end up learning something new about skincare and the products that your are using.
@@karly.asshhh all of that is correct but it’s all about preference and trust. Ever since hyram has appeared on the internet so many people who have had a problem with their skin said that hyram has given them more help than their dermatologists. Some people just watch hyram to get educated on skincare and if somebody thinks they already know all of that then they can watch someone who is more educated than them. There are so many dermatologists on tiktok and if you don’t trust his knowledge, preference or anything whatsoever then there’s nothing wrong with going by someone else’s opinion or standards. Don’t take this is the wrong way I’m just giving my take on this because I used to think about this
@@sofaloafaa it smells bad because it doesn’t have any fragrance and products which don’t have fragrance often don’t smell great. For example the cera’ve cleanser, it has no fragrance and kinda smells really wierd and bad 🙂
If you’re new here: - we don’t do makeup wipes - if you wear makeup think about double cleanse - no products with fragrance - diy skincare is a big NONO - Eye creams are expensive moisturizers - Sunscreen!!! Every. Single. Day - Chemical exfoliators >>>>>>> - YES to Naicinamide - (Drying) Alcohol in ingredients = DON’T BUY - No raw coconut oil on skin! Hi! I’m an allergist from Portugal and I find more and more people allergic to Methylisothiazolinone (some to Methylchloroisothiazolinone -Kathon CG, as well)! People see parabens as the bad guys while these are way more harmful. I’m glad you brought that up! Love your channel! ❤️
The curly girl community calls those two ingredients "the itchy M's".... I know this is referring to hair care products but... there is still skin connected to hair!
@@katejohns3284 yes! That stuff makes me so itchy! I once used a body wash with that ingredient and had a dry itchy rash on my skin. I avoid that preservative at all costs.
@@Hyram I have a question, I am currently using the equate beauty daily facial cleanser because it is cheaper then cerave but it says compared to cerave, I have dry skin and I think that has been drying it out even more, maybe I’m wrong. Is equate beauty a bad brand? Also Thayers facial mist, is this bad for your skin? You probably won’t see this tho 🙊
Yesss i did a secret Santa with my 3 of my friends and one of them got the ordinary peeling solution so me being the good friend I am told her how to apply to to make sure she’s not stripping her face and she was just looking at me like I was crazy
@@jessicacontreras3729 Next time you should add a how to, but maybe dumbed down? 😂 My friends are the same - even though some of them study chemistry, and I’m like, girl, I’ve no clue about any of that shit, and you STUDY it - how come you don’t get it????
I'm an ER nurse and I have to say watching your videos have helped me so much with all my breakouts from this year after covid started because of the tight masks for 12+ hours a day. Thank you so much for all this education. All my products now are a quarter of the price, work wonders on my face and I feel amazing looking at my face every morning. When I'm saving people at work, your recommendations are saving my skin 😭💜 Thank you Hyram!
@@iliketurtells365 I only like this because you had 304 likes. So I wanted to make it 305. And it’s funny how the reply before me is thinking the same as me 😂
Can we talk more specifically and clearly about how misleading these "peeling" products are? Ones that peel up on themselves and are marketed to make consumers think they are literally removing that much skin?
Maddie deeeffinitely has a brand deal with Sonya Dakar which is why she uses so many of their products! I'm pretty sure the Omega oil is one of their products as well. I'm curious if this is her actual every day routine or if she was obligated to throw in some of those because of a contract lol! (no shade I mean get that bread maddie haha!)
I don't think she has a brand deal with them where she's contractually obligated to use the products or show them but a personal relationship with Sonya Dakar (she gets treatments from her and probably gets free products to use at home so she probably does actually use a lot of her stuff)
@@akchills totally, fair enough. Haha I’m definitely not super educated on the ins and outs of celebrity brand relationships and how that all works lol! That sounds like a pretty reasonable explanation too.
I’m severely allergic to Methylisothiazolinone and it’s actually banned in many countries in Europe. I’m surprised so many companies still use it considering it’s the equivalent to scrubbing dish soap or laundry detergent on your face😱
Honestly, I‘m so jealous of how easily Maddie‘s skin seems to absorb the skincare. I’ve been having a lot of trouble with pilling - how does she do it 😲
i have a lot of anxiety around getting sick and throwing up specifically and today i got the stomach flu it been rough thanks for the great video hyram
update- yesterday i only threw up twice, i didn’t feel good until about 1:00 and i finally started to feel better. i started drink more gatorade every 15 minutes. then i added a ritz cracker. and i am currently talking from the next morning and i feel all better. thank you all for the support, i love you
@@iwishiwerealexturner4449 yay! I’m so happy you are feeling better! Make sure to drink a lot of water and only eat bland foods like bread, that is what helped me. ☺️
Hi Hyram , Im in India right now , I’m not able to find good sunscreen brand which you recommend , Is it okay to use Clinique sunscreen but it does have white cast though , I have been through a phase in the past where I had real bad acne breakouts n was on on accutane as well Since I started following your recommendation I feel good my skin feels good too I’m more confident I’m scared to use this sunscreen since it does have a white cast !! Hope you reply n advice Thank you Lots of love
The 2nd Skin Oil she used was the Sonya Dakar organic omega booster ($54) for anyone wondering! They have one for oily skin and dry sensitive skin as well
It’s so great you are doing a breakdown of the ingredients as many other skin educators say things like; “Buy this if you have dry skin, I’d recommend this for oily skin” etc - but not all ingredients suit every skin regardless if they ‘fit the bill’ of the skin type!
she said her skin started to be sensitive years ago because of puberty. the products seem to work good for her. i’m pretty sure she just has sensitive skin.
@@giannasavino6601 For now. Fragrance allergies can develop over the years - even for people who initially don’t feel irritation. I just hope that she finds a routine that won’t set her up for any future irritation.
@Hyram Thank you very much for having subtitles- as someone who has difficulty hearing, I always appreciate when creators pay for subtitles instead of relying on auto-generated.
I got my first skincare products for Christmas (l'm 13) and got the products from The Ordinary and I'm so happy about it and learn more everyday about skincare because of this wonderful man
Yeah to be fair, Weleda markets it as a cream for extra dry areas of the body like feet and elbows, not the face. I'm not sure why so many people use it as a face cream?
I used it as a face cream when I was on Accutane and loved it then. I found it not to be irritating or sensitizing. But my skin was also extremely dry and it would be too much now.
@@madalineriggs2858 i use it in the winters when my face is super dry due to the cold wind. A pro tip is to apply it with a damp sponge! Your skin will be so glowy and hydrated and I feel like it takes a bit of the scent away💞

Hi Hyram! I am obsessed with your videos and channel, your advice has helped my skin so much!! I would love if you could film a video solely about body care. I feel like skincare products for the body are often not talked about and I would love some recommendations for body washes for different skin types, body lotions, and any other body products that align with your skincare philosophy! Thank you so much for what you do! x
Seriously. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine, all these people saying they have all these flaws when they're virtually invisible. Maybe in real life there's something, but with all the lighting setups, we can't see a thing.
@@mediocretriplethreat - I wasn't invalidating it. I said they could very well have it, but it doesn't show up in the video. That's all, nothing malicious here. We all have flaws and insecurities, but they oftentimes appear more pronounced to ourselves than to others.
Ive been having questions about those enzyme peeling solutions for such a long time and I FINALLY see one in your reaction video that answered my questions
The UFO acne treatment oil is a god send..... I had cystic acne for over a year when I tried this and it seriously prevents any new acne from cropping up (outside of that time of the month). Also, it smells like crap, so the fragrance can't be doin too much!
vogue lists all the used products in the comment section where they leave a comment with all the products!! just an info haha since often we can't see the products... love you
Yes and no- sensitive skin and reactive skin aren’t the same thing. Hyram has reactivity but no sensitivity and I have both 😂. Reactivity is where your skin gets red, annoyed looking, etc, when you touch it or apply products even if it’s not sensitive. Sensitivity is where the skin is really easily dehydrated and damaged, and skincare products can sting or burn when applied, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be reactive.
@@dreaming-of-spots6805 I have both as well. As I understand it reactive skins returns to a normal color within several minutes of the irritating stimulus ceasing, such as wind or friction from rubbing ones face while cleansing. For me products I am sensitive or allergic to produce an immediate and sustained redness that can take several days to calm down. That's just my experience!
Hi, Hyram such a big fan. From me watching your videos has changed my skin. I'm only 11 but I love skincare. I would love if you could do a new updated morning skincare routine.
Hey Hyram! I’m not sure you will see this but if you do, please make a video on “closed comedones” like how to treat them and prevent them. I have a good bunch of them on my forehead (it is not fungal acne) and they’re quite annoying haha. Love your videos and your personality, have a great day! 💕
