the way to apply this cream can make a huge difference on the final result. Instead spreading it onto the face, pick up the cream and warm it up very vigorously onto the fingers. And then pat on the skin until is absorbed. The skin will be very moisturized but not greasy at all ;)
Best way to use Nivea for me is I clean and moisturize as normal. After this I get a pea size and I distribute all over my face (I include under eyes and lips too) that is my night time routine...the next day I wake up to baby skin very smooth!! You don't need to apply loads and is so cheap!! It works for me!! I get complements on my skin and I'm on my late 40's. Try it you will love it!!
This cream came to my family, way before i was born. In 1994, when my older sister tip a pot of boiling water on the left side of her body and got 3rd degree burns. She was in alot of pain, and the doctor suggested my dad to buy this cream as it has a cooling effects and will help her with the pain. From thay day onwards, my dad has always bought this cream and he as entire family use it daily.
Nivea creme , is the only product that suits my skin. Because I have a combination skin, this product works for me. Unlike, other products that I previously used, they cause my skin break outs. But this one, makes it moisturize but not greasy. Im from the Philippines by the way.
Underrated! I'm so happy that you went over the types of ingredients so I can better understand just exactly what it does: emollients, humectants, and occlusive.
makeup over nivea IS the trick!! its SO good for that dewy, korean glass skin look. if you do not like feeling like there is a lot of product on your face, then this method is not for u, but if you dont mind that feeling, nivea and then sunscreen before makeup makes my skin SO SMOOTH and keeps the base staying on my face so much better! sometimes i even use some moistruizer under the nivea creme first, and my skin is typically the oily type, so im surprised i can even stand this method but it works so well for me!
I use aloe vera gel, a light moisturizer cream then pat the nivea cream on after warming it up with my fingers. It makes my skin glowy and feels hydrated all day. On days I use sunscreen I only use the nivea creme at night as 4 skincare products on each other is too much for me during the day. Great product and I've had less breakouts since I started using it!
Thank you for this tip. I have used aloe gel on my face for years and consider it one of the reasons that my skin is good for my age. I will apply the cream as a final step after using my vitamin C serum, aloe gel and moisturiser to create a barrier for these creams.
I have oily face but I still use this creme but only for night uses. In the morning before I wash with facewash I use the micelar water to erase it and after that I wash it using facewash. And the result is after I use nivea creme for a weeks my skin face is smoother. I kinda like this product ❤️
I just try this product for few days and i already love this. Yes, the consistency is pretty tricky to apply but it doesn't cause any problem so far. Good product.
Great info, thank you. I’ve used this for over 20 years without a problem on my face, with or without make up. Still love it as there’s many other uses for it.
@@rosa9289 Hi Rosa. It’s a great hand and foot mask overnight with socks/gloves (Is you can sleep this way), specially after a pedicure, it last longer. Cuticles, elbows, anywhere on the body. Hairline before dying my hair, I’ve even used it on the tips of my hair though I don’t recommend it often. Mixed with fake tan over feet, hands/wrists, knees and face to colour blend it in smoothly. Love using it over winter. Over pimples that are dried up too. I also use the original Niva body cream (blue pump bottle) for years now too, love it. I’ve use many other products both expensive and budget, but nothing beats this. Try it if you haven’t, would love to know what you think? Anyway, have a wonderful and Safe Christmas. ❤️
Im on roaccutane therapy and i use nivea as my night cream it works wonders and my skin is fabulous in the morning, wouldnt use it as day cream its too thick and greasy it will ruin your foundation 💗
I’m on my 2nd week on roaccutane now and after only 4 days my skin started breaking out so bad but it got better after 2-3 days like it cooled down a little bit…. But now it’s starting to break out again, my lower lip is so dry it bleed last night….. after how many weeks did you start to see the difference in your skin ?
I love this, I used to use e45 cream on my face as a teen but then it went very overpriced so i moved to Nivea creme over 10 years ago now and its amazing. A 200ml tub can last me months and that's using it everyday and as a hand cream. its the best!
Interesting video. I think you're using it vastly different than most people, though. It's an occlusive. Most people don't use occlusives as part of their daytime routine, it's a night time thing. It's way too emollient for good makeup application. Also, it should be melted with your fingers before application to the face so you aren't pulling and it will spread just like if you were using petrolatum as your evening occlusive. Mind you I'm not a pharmacist but I'm a cosmetician and a licensed cosmetologist specializing in makeup artistry. I've never heard of anyone using it in the morning or as a makeup base.
I've been using it as my morning moisturizer after serum and then sunscreen. I just recently started using primer before my foundation and I never had any issues with Nivea. I rub it on my fingers before applying and it went on smoothly.
Nivea is best of the best moisturiser especially night moisturiser ever..it may not suit oily skin beauties but for my eczematous dry and dehydrated skin its an HG product.nivea is simply described as oil in water so its a savious for dehydrated and dry and extremely dry skin..its soothing soft fluffy..smell is divine very light, very soothing and soft, nivea is best face mask, body creame ,face cream ,under eye cream, lip moistiroser, its everything yet very economical as compared to overhyped night cream, hand creams ,eye creams body butters etc
Darling U are applying to much cream in your face. U need much less cream and U will not be greasy in the face. Warm the cream first in your hands and than spread on the face, that works much better.
I use mine during the day actually before I apply my sunscreen and I love it! I have no issues using it and I didn't have to wait an hr before applying my make up. Lol. I just wait a couple of minutes before applying my primer and then foundation. I love how soft my skin is!
I love the feel of the original blue Nivea Creme. It's very moisturising for the face. On the other hand, Nivea Soft makes me break out with itchiness from the strong perfume.
I love Nivea creme, I get the the big blue glass tub and use it head to toe, it gives me baby-skin all over!! I don't know of I'd recommend it for oily or acne faces, but I don't have that problem. The version available here is made in Mexico, distributed by Beiersdorf AG Hamburg, it definitely has mineral oil, petrolatum, etc in it. I don't have any problems with that, but I'm curious about the German version which allegedly doesn't use those ingredients. What does it use then? Everyone seems to be a fan of it, and if i can find it, I might try it. But it better not be too expensive, cause mines like $6 for a 13.5 oz tub!
@roringgusanda2837 Have u tried the German version yet and if so how does it compare to the American one? I just started using the one u got in the big glass tub and I really like it but am curious about the original German one.
@@BenedaReisinger I JUST ordered a tub of the German Nivea, from smallflower...it's going to be here soon! I am almost out of my regular Nivea and (I'm disabled and don't drive either) since I can't get to the store, I thought I'd order some off the internet for delivery...and then I thought, I might as well try it, since I've heard so much about it. I am very happy with my regular Nivea cream, made in Mexico, so I hope this will be as good. I didn't see any real differences in the ingredients?? It still has mineral oil, parrafin, etc...maybe it's the proportions? I will be glad to let you know here, once it comes😚
@@BenedaReisinger well, it came, and I've been using it daily, and I have to say I noticed one difference right away: the German Nivea leaves my face glistening with oil or wax....I have to pat it afterwards with a cloth or Kleenex. The Mexican made never left me like that. It seems to go on a bit more like a cold cream than just a moisturizer. Other than that, no difference. I use it on my whole body and it seems to absorb everywhere except my face, and it leaves my skin really soft, just like the Mexican version. Honestly, I'd as soon use the one as the other. There's no other difference, not in color, smell, or effect. When I can get to the store again I'll be buying my regular Mexican version of Nivea creme. I don't think there's any difference worth paying a couple extra dollars for, the ingredients are all the same, the effects are the same. I don't get why there's this mystique about it. That's my opinion so far, it works great and I love it, but it's really no different than my regular Nivea.
Can you make a video about the Nivea face wash please!!! I use Nivea cream soft in the morning because it's lighter and get absorbed faster and the thick cream at night, I used then for years and I love it since I gave very dry skin so it always keep my skin moisturized
Sure, why not! Which one? Refreshing face wash, the blue one? 🙂 I am going to do reviews for Nivea Soft and Nivea Care creams as well, so stay tuned. 😊
@@PharmacyMakeup nivea face wash milk delights and the nivea liquid soap I think they also have a face wash 150ml Thank you so much for your efforts I do recommend your Chanel to every one , bless you ☺️☺️
My face skin is dry so it helps. Been using it for 20 years. But I cloys my pores a little and once a while a white head. Think it's because it has fragrance. Heard it's really good for aging. I will try cedaphil so I won't break out. What's your opinion on what I should do
I only like the German version, it dries quickly. I just bought the one made in Mexico (available I the USA) and my hands are still greasy an hour later.
@@ItsYoLyrics If you see a pic of a little jar with the lid off to the right of the barcode, there should be a number beside it. Like 12M. That means it's good for 12 months from the time you open it. (0r 24M for 24 months, 36M for 36 months)
I had combo skin, and this made my skin balance the dryness and I just pat the excess oil from my T zone. But now I changes to nivea Men xDDDD I still use this one though on top of nivea men lol.
OMG, I hope you did try it, cause that's exactly why I started using it!! It's the best thing I've ever used as a full body moisturizer! I put on after a bath, and it locks in moisture all day!!
Hi ma'am So , I have a really oily (red) acne skin , with pores but feels very dry (teen skin). So is it okay to use it during day time? and how about with Lotus sunscreen?
If you are not acne prone, you don't have to worry so much about it. But if you want you can also try Nivea Care Nourishing, that one is less comedogenic. 😊✌🏻
Pharmacy&Makeup I thought of first testing it out for one week. So I applied it last night, it didn’t feel bad but the areas where I have normal skin felt very greasy and dull/dark in colour. No breakouts but right after applying I’m disliking that my skin seems different in colour :(
@@arie_ydv Sorry to hear that Daisy. You can maybe apply it only on the dry areas, and use a different cream on other parts. I am planing on reviewing all other Nivea cremes (Soft, Care and even Men) so maybe one of those will suit you better. 🙂
@@arie_ydv Off course! I did say in this video that this Nivea cream is great for dry skin, but maybe I could emphasize it more so people don't get confused. 😃 Thanks for your support and constructive advice! More reviews are coming! 🤗❤
Yes absolutely. For women and men, Nivea had both men and woman care and I’m a man and I use the Nivea man creme on my face as well as Nivea body wash and lotion
If your skin is sensitive though, it might not be good. I have no problems but you might. There's a fragrance, so may or may not be sensitive to that. It's got a thick greasy texture, it may be too thick or to oily for you...I have quite dry, non sensitive skin, so what works for me might not work for you. Maybe you need something formulated for rosacea??
Same! I just bought it for really dry patches on my skin so I use it on those parts only instead of applying it everywhere, I recommend simple moisturiser!
@@jaishreeram11. yes! I first use my moisturiser and then I’ll apply the nivea to only dry patches that I know will form again regardless of my normal moisturiser, just don’t apply the nivea all over your face it’ll break you out because it’s extremely thick, good for elbows and kneees!! Hope this helps!
I have been using mine for a while with no issues. I have sensitive skin and I usually break out when I use something on my face. I tried CeraVe because it's fragrance free and mild and I broke out really bad! I went back to Nivea again and my face just loves it despite the fragrance! My face feels so supple like a baby's bum! Lol. I use it as my morning moisturizer actually under make up!
I use it sometimes and I have combination.. I am just put it in my more dryer areas and then I thin it out as I get to my more oily areas^^ and I don’t put any on my acne
Not really, I explained it very thoroughly in the video. 🙂 If you are oily maybe a better option for you would be Nivea Care Cream, I have a video on that one as well you can check it out. 😊
My mom uses it daily, all over and she's going strong at almost 80 has never had any problems, and certainly not cancer! I use it head to toe, as a full body moisturizer xx and have no problems, there's nothing in it that would cause cancer. I'd recommend it for anyone who had dry skin, but if you have an oily face, it might be too heavy for your face, that's the only warning I would give.
Rosacea is often sensitive to heavy and greasy creams like this, plus it has a mild fragrance, which is also something rosacea may not like. Try something formulated just for rosacea.
I like the old fashioned design of this product but whenever I spread it onto my face, the skin breaks out so hard that I cant even count the pimples. xD
Have you tried Bebe intensive care cream. Its a german cream I would like to know your opinion. Also can you give me a recommendations for a nice face moisturizer because I live south-eastern Europe and some nice products are hard to find.
Dear Nirvane, I haven't tried that cream, this is actualy the first time I'm hearing about it. I will check it out and see if it's available in local drugstores. 🙂 I am currently trying out the Nivea Care Cream, that review is coming next. For now I'm loving it. 😃 Stay tuned, I will do a bunch of reviews on different moisturizers so you will be able to figure out which one would work for you, based on my very detailed reviews. 😃 Because I don't know your skin type and skin issues I cannot give you a specific recommendation, but you can stay tuned for those reviews. 😃
Hi colleague, nice to meet you. 😊 Not Makeup, but Cosmetology. I first graduated from University of Medical Sciences with a Masters' Degree in Pharmacy and 1 year after that I got enrolled into Specialistic Studies of Cosmetology from which I graduated this year in Jan. In my country there is such a program of Specialistic Studies in Faculty of Pharmacy meant for Bachelor's and Master's degree holders in Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry and Chemistry. 🙂
@@alexvitto4385 If you are acne prone, maybe skip on this one, because it has couple of comedogenic ingredients. Maybe try Nivea Care cream, that one has fewer comedogenic ingredients. Hope this helps you. 😊💕
Yes it's heavy, thick and greasy. It might cause acne to get worse. I'd try a small amount and see, but it's really more for dry skin, and works great on the body, but a lot of people feel it's too heavy for the face.
Hi I'm acne prone skin. I can't tell if it's oily (naturally) or just because I used some products that's why it's oily. Though if I'm on my bare face with any products it's dry, I guess. But anyhow it's really acne prone. Is it okay for me to use this creme? I just bought it a while ago.
Hi Marivic, If you are acne prone I think the better option for you would be the Nivea Care Cream because it's less comedogenic. I have a video on that one as well, check it out. Hope this helps you. :)
She looked better before the makeup,...i like nivea i use it on my face during night time and wash in the mornings,i also use it on my hands and foots it also gives me a reason to massage
Great video, i just did a review of this on my channel if you want to check it out? I love your channel already so have just subscribed.. Keep up the great work x
It's ok, but I just think it's going to be too much for your skin even if your skin is dry. Maybe it would be smarter to first apply a suncreen and then Nivea in case the suncreen didn't give you enough moisture. Hope this helps you. :)
It's that serious the nivea cream comedogenic substances.Well, that you explain the comedogenic can clog the pore and it's cause the black heads and white heads. So,it safety to use it for everyday.Certain the vloger subcribe this product have benefit. How to maintain the skin with this nivea creme as the moisturizer? Can you recommend how to use this product?
Fragrance is one huge con. It causes inflammation and aging. I absolutely hate that such a good classic product has perfume. Monroe used Nivea at night and she has genes that make her eyes stay good looking but for many of us, perfume might be causing puffyness and redness around the eyes...
Yes, I have no problem with the fragrance, but so many do that there really ought to be a fragrance free version. No other changes, just leave out the scent!
