I'm glad it has made your masochism more bearable and exceeded your expectations! The essence of your experiential sentiments is uniformly and overwhelmingly shared by almost everyone who has ridden the Aethos, albeit usually the S-Works version. Ride well!
I have not seen any specific stiffness claims, only that the "round tube profiles and carbon layup make it particularly stiff". That certainly is my experience. I seem to recall that there was a weight limit but it was 120kg + for bike and rider. I'd have to eat a lot more Zeppoles to hit that figure!
@@podiumphysio657 yeah most frames have a 120-125kg limit. Some ultra light ones are limited to 90kg. You're finding it stiff compared to which other bikes you've ridden?
@@pierrex3226 I'd say it compares very favourably in terms of stiffness against my previous bikes: De Rosa Super King, Merckx 525 and even my current but old model Trek Emonda (2016 year)
Not sure about how the differences were achieved, however I just measured from the ground to the top of the bars on my 2 bikes, both set up so bars are at highest level (without flipping Aethos stem). Tarmac is 66.5cm and Aethos is just under 68cm. Definitely a 10mm plus difference!
