AntonCor yes I said that in this video and in the older video. If I remember correctly the racing link increased the progressivity by around 10%, which is better but still lower than the new version ;)

The swoop has good pedaling (anti-squats around 90-100%) and low anti-rise (near 40%). The progressivity is a bit low for LT enduro bike (with only 10%). For more hardcore trails its good ideia to use some spacers in the shock, or more HSC compression. Cheers

The chain extension and kickback are porportional to antisquat amounts, so they would be the same as most enduro bikes in the market. Nothing wrong with them

Hi. Yes Druid looks interesting, and theres plenty of info on their site. The kinematics info look reliable. I have recently reviewed Nomad4 on vitalmtb, although not exactly the same as hightower, for sure they will share some similarities. ;)

Did the simulation in 2016 for the Gwin's Demo (with that special linkage) and it doesn't affect significantly the Anti-squat, Anti-rise or Kickback. It only increased the progressivity by around 10%. So assuming that this aftermarket linkage is the same, you will end up with a final figure close to 30-35%. Cheers

Clash is nice. Pedaling is good (~100% AntiSquat on all cogs), anti-rise ~50%. Progressivity 35%. Cheers

Yo pienso que non, pero singlepivots son lineares, y el anti squat depiende de la altura del pivot principal (100% when main pivot is on top of chain ring). Sorry my Spanish Saludos 😁

Ola Vitor. A Spec Enduro é parecida nas caracteristicas, só que tem menos curso que a Demo. Tambem tem boa eficacia a pedalar (bom anti-squat) e tem uma progressividade moderada (as versoes anteriores eram demasiado lineares, usavam facilmente o curso todo da suspensao nos saltos).

In this case it was easy, they are on the user manual of the bike

The new capra is similar to the previous one, there are some tweaks but nothing major, for instance, the progressivity is slightly lower in the new model (which is still very high when compared to most enduro bikes).

Olá Carlos (PT?). I am going to make a video about PK, because I think there are better ways to show it (such as chain growth), instead of using crank rotational angles. That's because PK is hugely affected by the size of the cog and chainring (Demo uses a 34T chainring). On descending gears (small cog and big chainring) the PK is minimal, and on climbing gears its much higher. Also, and as a consequence, PK is mostly noticeable on technical climbs at slow speeds and with the chain tensioned. On descendings you won't feel kickback on pedals (because the freewheel hub let the cassete rotate forward when the chain extends and you wont notice nothing on pedals)... Having said that, you can expect some PK given the relatively high anti-squats (25º on middle cog). Cheers

Yes, with an high pivot and a chain idler. There are some now in the market, Commencal Supreme V4, Forbidden Druid, Aurum HSP etc

I have no idea about that. The main issue of singlepivot bikes is that they tend to be very linear (low progression) which is nice for XC and Trail riding styles, but for more aggressive enduro riding (with jumps and so on) they will bottom-out easily compared with a more progressive design

Gt fury 2019 has a rearward axle path, good pedaling efficiency, low chaingrowth and low pedal kickback. It has a progressive suspension. Cheers

Yes Speciailized was pioneer on 4 bar horst-link (back in the 90's). In this case its a 4 bar horst-link with an aditional dedicated shock linkage. As far as I know it's the first time the Big S use this type of design. But anyway, what matters is the final result :)
