Yes I have to agree the Tarmac SL7 is very nice still and Im sure it will grow on me more and more but the venge was my first love lol

yea thats what im thinking too, I honestly think they will maybe give it a year or two and then re release it and be like this is so much better. But i would still be stoked.... just like how I get excited about the new iphones every year lol

Depends on the build of the bike, but the venge climbs good not so good as sl7 but gives you another feeling that sl7 can’t give you

it is a peak bike, but the wind is not that bad, I rode this bike at 64mm wheels and it was no problem I am also 200lbs so I have no issue with this on the bike

Tarmac! I have a speed concept, looking for something better at climbing. Watched your other video on the red tint SL7 Pro and used that in making my decision to order one. Lead time went from January to April. That’s a long time to wait for a bike, hope it’s worth it! Thanks again for the great video’s.

venge, hands down. just looks way better. one of the best looking bikes out there imho, plus not that much of a weight penalty (and aero trumps weight in most circumstances anyways). really don’t like the slight curves in the tarmac lines and also don’t like the seat tube with the massive cut out - just feels like a watered down venge to me. venge just looks aggressive and fast

@@MickeyBlueEyes34 yea I agree, when I saw the bike me and the guys all said they just looked like they started with a venge frame and then just started shaving carbon, I like the look of the Venge alot

Yea I’m a fan of those new wheels I hate tubeless but I also only see the worst of the tubeless. So that’s why I prefer tubes lmao

Yea I agree with that the venge will descend faster being more aggressive and aero but the venge is gonna be faster on the flats

Thanks so much for checking them out,Im stil a huge fan of the red tint its so nice in person. who knows the exact number for the climbing and descending but I know with that lighter bike and less carbon to have to move it makes it much easier to climb

yea im a big venge fan I really hope in the future they revisit this bike model and make it again I think its a poor move to get rid of such a nice bike

@@GCPerformance18 I was thinking the same thing. I didnt expect specialized to cut the ties with that bike. Sadly, if they revisit it in the future, they will most likely change the design so far from the original that it wouldn't be the same. I really hope it comes back for next year. Beautiful bike. The SL7 is nice but it doesn't have the same "wow factor" as the Venge.

I mean form a sales point of view its aweomse for me because sometimes people would have to wait and not pull the trigger on a bike right away because they were confused on whcih bike to get the sl6 or the venge so now its easy but there are no bikes avaible so it kind of sucks, but I dont see any real need for it, trek has there emonda and the madone still and no issues there and they still sell just as much.... the venge was a flagship bike and won a lot of stages in the tour de france, i think its kind of stupid

@@GCPerformance18 Yeah, so true. The Madone is a TANK of a bike and those are great; and hey, if they sell, it's all good. Nonetheless, still sad to see such a bike go.

@@GCPerformance18 only asking because I've been riding the Tarmac sl2 for close to 10 years. But I upgraded to the sl6 last year. All I can say is, the sl6 is night and day difference than the sl2! I cannot imagine how much of an "upgrade" the sl7 is when compared to the sl6

hahah my friend did the exact same thing he got the venge overexposed frame but yes it is true they are not going to continue the venge anymore what there saying and only make the tarmac from here on out. But the venge is still faster between the two on the flats Im sure on the flat flat stages of the tour this year the bora and quickstep teams are going to still use the venge... Just watch. And dont worry because that bike you got is still amazing

im the same, I am a big believer that you buy something that you enjoy to look at beacuse it is going to make you ride more

Thanks for checking out the video :).... but in terms of the two bike models for the pro its very subjective to what you like to ride and also maybe where your riding at, because the 1x is a really nice option if you know your location and that's where your going to be riding because then you can get your bike dialed in with the gearing but at the end of the day its going to come down to which component you like shifting better or maybe even the feel of how it shifts or how it sounds while riding on it...... I did reviews on both the tarmac pro SL7 udi2 and also the 1x sram force.... check them out and I go over all the details and weight specs of the bikes..... Oooooof that’s a tough one, I’m a specialized guy all the way and the venge is my favorite bike. Now with that being said the new canyon aeroad looks sick, I just have never road one and don’t know how it feels. Just from my pick it would have to be venge because that’s what I know and I know it performs. But maybe if I get a canyon to try one day I would be down

No your not wrong, Specialzied still has the frames being sold for the 2020 sworks venge but they are not going to continue making it for 2021, so those frames your seeing might be carry overs for 2020, unless EU is carrying them over..... I would have to see it from a dealer but from my reps there saying the Venge is going to be done. So we will just have to wait and see and If i see here anything other wise you guys would be first to here :)

honestly jsut like every other bike from sworks to pro, its very minimal but you can definitely tell theres a difference if that makes sense, Like the sworks feels more snappy and responsive and also more light weight, but the pro doesn't feel hindered at all its just you can feel your riding an sworks.... lol I hope that makes sense

Ride on S Works is super harsh, to the point of negatively affecting cornering when you're on the limit, compared to all my other bikes with same tires and same width rims.

@@dominicford7641 well I mean im sure we could all get use to the sworks because if that was the case for cornering the pros wouldn't be riding them either if there was a disadvantage for cornering

@@GCPerformance18 Its not bad at cornering, simply not as good as all the other bikes I ride and if you're not paying for the bike then, as you point out, you ll just adapt to this very minor shortcoming.

you can convert wheels into tubeless I have done it before but definitely not recommended especially for road wheels that arnt meant to be because the lip on the wall of the rim might not grab the bead tight enough and if your descending or sprinting or something it could come off, I have made mountain wheels tubeless that weren't advertised with duct tape and valves but I wouldn't recommend it lol

@@yashahouse I have the older tubeless CLX 64's on a Scott Foil. Really brings out the handling characteristics engineered into the frame. Maybe only psychological, but feel faster than my Zipps.

The Tarmac SL7's stem faceplate requires no gap at the top, unlike their other stems that require evenly spaced gaps.

You can climb with the bike, but the tarmac is a better bike for climbing because it’s less carbon to move and it reacts quicker when putting down power

It’s not that bad. Like if it was your only bike it would climb decently, if you had more flats then climbs. But if your ride was all climbs more or less then go sl7

That’s the 12 speed Sram, because they use a 10tooth cassette in the back a 48-10 is just as fast as a 52-11

lmao well Im a massive venge guy myself, but where are you located?? The tarmac will be more comfortable of a ride so maybe longer rides you will be more fresh and in that case you will perform better because less body fatigue...... but I think it all depends on the location of where your at..... but also me riding the venge for so long and then taking this sl7 out for a 20 mile ride, I wasnt like this bike was missing anything more just the venge felt more of the road and felt more rigid

@@GCPerformance18 FLAT midwest. I honestly have never felt like my venge was uncomfortable. i owned a 2020 Roubiax for a while and still own a Diverge. In many ways I personally think the Venge is almost as comfy as the Roubiax and where it is not as comfortable as an endurance bike it makes up for by being far more in tune with the road. I kinda got board on my endurance bike. currently im building a way over the top Sworks Crux to be my "Aero winter bike" I was blown away by its on point handling and its complete stripped down no frills frame. I suspect it will get a set of road tires next spring. Either way I really want to find a reason to build a SL7 lol.

@@MSinc1 lmao yea im the same way with the venge here in florida too, The wheels these bikes are coming with how wide they are and the size of these tires now, make everything so smooth, my roads are very nice and paved, so honestly these bikes are comfy, and yea sometimes the roubaix or the endurance bikes are too comfy lol.... just get the sl7 you will love it, you seem like a specialized fan boy just like me and I love all the bikes, Im grabbing one for sure as soon as I get some open stock and dont have all of them on a sold back order lol. Sales first :(

I know and Im sorry but I didnt think it would matter because the sl7 was a 52 and the venge was a 58 but I did videos on both of those bikes and gave both weights on those two models if you want to compare

I just got a SL7 Etap 54cm and it weighs 7.23kg with Dura Ace Pedals and no water bottle cages. Extremely disappointing.
