The Tarmac SL7 was developed as the uncompromising road bike. With a frame weight of only 875 grams, the total weight of the complete roadbike can be less than the 6.8 kilograms required by the UCI. At the same time, the frame has been aerodynamically optimized so that it can compete with the best aeroframes currently on the market without compromising on frame stiffness and comfort. The bike of the World Tour stars Peter Sagan, Emanuel Buchmann or Julian Alaphilippe now built as a dreambuild with all weights of the individual parts and the details in focus.

I wonder, if I end up buying a closeout G3 Venge, if I can change that overweight Venge stem for the new Tarmac version? I know the routing is different but it shouldn't make a difference with electronic shifting unless there's something I am not seeing. I think I would buy the SL7 second tier before any of the S-works. But a good deal on a Venge Pro would be competitive with the SL7 Pro (Di2). The main advantage in the SL7 would be slightly lower weight and better wheels in the CL or CLX version (though no way to experiment with tubeless without getting different wheels for it). I think if I were to start off with the $3000 SL7 frameset I'd go for an all Campy build and see about buying the CLX wheels for it.

Great video and build 👍. Very interesting small adapter, to run throw the frame brake hose, with the help of shift cable. Is this peace custom made or is it something you can buy? Running Di2 cables from the shifters to the back can be little fiddly? Still waiting for Shimano to put out, at least half the wireless option like FSA and finally get rid of some of the EW-SD50 cables from the front if not all of them. Would get this build much more easier. Can imagine pulling alongside brake hose two normal shifting cables with sound dampening foam. Could be a nightmare.....😱

You mean the dura ace cassette with plastic core, bending? Cracking? I replaced it with XG-1190. And the DA chain with Campy Record 11. Flawless quiet, i get 20,000 kms per sram cassette and 3500 campy flawless superior metallurgy chain that outlasts the shimano by 3000 kms... no vibration translation nor axial rotation while moving.. I can ship you unused DA chain. A few days ago after 600 kms of slight shift issues rear, readjusted the R-9100 only to find the cause. At 11,000 kms the cable retaining screw receiver had threaded. Derailleur done. Cable was on iffy tension. Threw it and mounted the Ultegra 8000. Its cable screw receiver still good. Flawless again. Ordered two new rd 9100s at jensons. So yes Shimano is important but sram cassettes and campy chains never failed me. Shimanos yes..

John Trussell cutting a hole in a high stress tube is a recipe for disaster, just ask BMC.

This is my first road ru-vid.comUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and I have taken it out a handful of times and so far it is exceeding all of my expectations. I didn’t want to break the bank on a first bike and the herd is a great option for getting a fast bike with reliable components. I plan on riding this bike for many years to come. Thank you Sava!

Does anyone know the bottom braket for the the SL7 if I'm getting Sram AXS?

It'll be using SRAM's BSA-threaded BB for SRAM DUB Road.

Not everybody wants to live with the cons of tubeless.

5:00 It beggars belief to think that the mechanic has put the cranks on, done a spin test, seen that it's a pile of utter shite (even worse than on my Trek Emonda ALR), and they STILL decide to leave the clip in. Unless of course they're just trolling Specialized with this 'Dream Build'.

hahah was thinking just the same. Threaded bottom brackets as well. Can't wait for Hambini to do a video on this frame.
