Sam Reid was just 17 when a sledding accident sent him to Regional One Health with a spike lodged in his body. He recalls thinking he was too young to die…and his medical team wasn’t about to let that happen. Within months of his accident, Sam graduated high school, served as best man in his brother’s wedding, and started college and a new job.
