Hi super small request you I have meteorites stones SG 4 or 4.5 magnetic attraction but please help me bro my meteorites stones sale please bro total 1500grams please sale please please please
Hello i found today a rock like 2 km away from beach this rock took my attention i never saw a rock like that in my country i live in meditteranean sea country cyprus this rock looks like a volcano stone but the thing is in my country the last eruption was 90 million years ago i took out the possibilities of being volcano stone its dark grey in front of the stone with something like rust and black like burnt with some holes behind the rock it looks like a piece of moon , it's a small rock but it's very heavy for it's size i did a metal detector and it goes crazy, the rock is sticking to the magnet but when you lift the rock falls because its heavy ,I searched on youtube and found your video here and tried exactly just like you did i will tell you the results and tell me what you think. Stone is 224g and 5.4 224 % 5.4 = results 41,4814814815
Thank you this has been the best information that I have come across every thing else seemed like I was never going to find a exact way to make a determination except if I send it to a lab . so thank you very much. I'm Terry in KS
Great lesson but what happened here? You state how easy it is to do a specific gravity test and show the expected ranges for different materials but ultimately the results don't reflect a very reliable test if it did end up being slag. Any insight to help explain?
Many meteorites have been on the ground for many years and will have had water on them at some point. The irons will rust out if salt water is present. Dipping your meteorite in water will no hurt it. Just dry it out well.
It's nice to see people doing a bit of research and investigating instead of posting a picture of a sneaker on Facebook and asking if it's a meteor... And half the people in the group think it is a meteor, nice information Don
density is defined as mass/volume, so your answer of 4.2 g is erroneous. you need to show the volume that the mass was occupying. typically is you're using a mass unit of grams, then your volume unit would be cubic centimeters. Try again please, thanks.
Glad you showed that meteorite scale chart. Here's a story for ya.. so im riding around looking for so e scrap metal for sone money . because I was broke as the tooth fairy at the meth house..anyway im in this field / old lot empty off a bit of a country highway kinda close to where I live. And well I had to pee real bad. So I do and bout that time , it started pouring down rain so hard . I could hardly see in front of me ..and I mean that quick. So I stared to run back to the truck real quick. Took about 2 or 3 steps and bamb almost fall right on my face . I tripped over something. And immediately I noticed whatever it was I tripped over was HEAVY , IT DIDNT BUDGE A BIT WHEN I HIT IT WITH MY FOOT RUNNING,. So im in the truck. And and in like huh???? What was that ??? So I go back and grab it real quick , and go sit down in the truck and look at it. Its a big ugly something. I didn't know .. said o well chucked out the window and drive to pull out on to the highway. And something in my gut said go back and get that right now .. right now . I jump out and go frabe it throw it the back of the truck and bring it home . So I put it in my rock iike out back . And I could tell it was real heavy and hard ,and would not break . I stared hitting it with a hammer . Then a sledge Hammer.. and my buddy was with me out I. The back yard and he's like what are you hitting .. so he looks at it and says dude stop . Stop hitting dude let me se that.. . Dude .z I think you found a a meteorite .. .. so turns out it's a 16 pound. Nickel iron meteorite,. No bull shit . Crazy huh!!!! This is the only the 17 th meteorite found in the state of ARKANSAS ,. Just thought I'd share that with you ..
After you dipped your 1st rock the first time the tare was off (can see it while your calculating) and why your 2nd and 3rd dip were different weights then first. So prolly not accurate result, should of used first weight.

@@CanadianDiggersChannel xin chào tôi là VN tôi có viên đá cách đo tỷ trọng như ngài trên 7 cm vậy thật sự t t thật không xin cho lời nhắn cảm ơn nhiều
@@CanadianDiggersChannel thanks for your answer, so we must refer to the color Black for Burned... do you have the links of the pannel you put in the video please. thanks a lot
How is it a great way when your results were wrong. The results said it was within meteorite range, but it ended up being slag. Just curious @CanadianDiggersChannel
@@CanadianDiggersChannel happened to come across your video again. I actually referenced your video last year to many people who wanted to know how to use a density test. Many thinks for your video Dan 🤙🏻😊
