Rolex yes... but Patek? No... Patek’s legacy and craftsmanship is still relevant... they’re being stubborn as well on their “classic” style for centuries and it has become their identity, it’s timeless altough I must admitt Bovet looks amazing... I’ll put Bovet as a Lamborghini... a cool looking, killer design... yet Patek is a Ferrari... it’s a piece of itself, their legacy and their impact on the high-end watch industry is undeniable

When i saw vids of jacob and co i was in awe. Then went back to watching rolex patek etc, i lost my urge to buy those boring watches. It felt like an enlightenment but its unsettling because i no longer loved the watches i couldve realistically afforded. I dont know how to explain it. I was enlightened but saddened? Idk. I honestly think i caught a glimps of how genius people / god / immortals see the world and understand why theyre portrayed as never content (?) idk
