I know its cheesy, but I want to thank you all so much for the support. I been having a bit of imposter syndrome lately. But I just been feeling so lucky so have you all who watch and support. These past two months have been super busy. But when making today's video while I might have been a bit tired it hit me just how thankful I am. I am the lucky one being able to produce content for you all. It's days like today that remind me I need to continue to improve in game and keep pushing myself. Why I will continue to document the journey and how we progress. We won't be getting complacent and keep striving to get better!
Sup mayne. Stop calling yourself cheesy just because you're ACTUALLY genuine and sincere. Those are damn good traits. Rare even in content creation. I always hear you knockin on yourself for the same exact reasons that got so MANY people to relate to you, listen, and grind to be better. Puff your chest a little ma boy you deserve it. Thank YOU, DAZS.
@@TheSKIETV in a game where TTK(time to kill) matters a gun the spits out more bullets faster will kill you faster if it take 10 bullets to kill you and my gun spit out 10 before yours does 5 I’m gonna win 9/10 tiem and only lose due to aim 😂😂
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.” ― G. Michael Hopf, Those Who Remain. I've always been fascinated by this quote, idk if this is what you referred to, but it's probably what you're referring to is referring to, so here u go daz
Thank you so much for your videos, Dazs! I started playing Apex last may (before that I had never played any type of shooting/multiplayer/online game) and I can honestly say that your videos have helped me so so much. I didn't know how to strategize, how characters works, how the game dynamics worked, and watching your videos was what helped me get better. I am currently mid- Plat III and I can't believe I have come so far (I didn't believe I could ever play ranked when I started), and I know I owe a lot of it to your videos, specially this series. I find them entertaining and helpful and I love how you are always so kind to your teammates even if they make mistakes - something that is sometimes hard to find in this game (I've had a lot of players tell me awful stuff just for messing up). So, thank you!
To your point about people not taking fights, I think it has a lot to do with bonus points rarely being awarded for kills now. I haven't gotten any bonus points since like plat 2, so I'm less incentivised to take fights.
Love your content Dazs. As a parent myself, I appreciate the precious time you share with us-especially since it’s so high quality. I’ve been binging your videos recently and feel like I’m getting personal coaching. Thank you!
The ranked system is Incredibly easy for sure. I hit masters pretty early on, and I’ve just been enjoying grinding kills in pubs lol kinda relaxing. I solo queue, so I welcomed the easy ranked system this season lol
i'm playing in masters this season as well and the quality of fights and pacing has been different for sure. it's driving me insane how a mixed bag masters lobbies are right now. sometimes it seems i'm fighting people that don't belong in masters (should be plat at best) and thus i can't really predict what they're gonna do next. but the next team is a coordinated team with perfect aim and positioning, u really don't know what to expect anymore. it's like the second team you fought for example, once you got knocked the common thing to do was to push, secure the kill and finish the fight, especially since there was no 3rd party. but nope, they decided to stay there poking and the fight lasted too long then 2 more teams rotated in. i have mixed feelings about this system, end fights are fun and the neg 35 is quite forgiving but at the same time i don't like how vastly different the quality between enemies is.
yeahh that's the major downside of this ranked system - people are in Masters lobbies but they dont possess the skill of a masters player. it's tough for those players that are actually good. the point of the ranks supposedly was to separate people based on their skill levels 😅
@@immortalxmedia i'm talking about masters with teammates that possess the skill of a gold player cus the gold player got to masters by ratting. i get your point and I agree with u :3 what i mean is when u have them as your teammate
Watching the gameplay, even in lower ranks that I don’t play in anymore, helps me go over the mistakes I make so much faster than when I record little clips lol. Really appreciate how honest you are with your videos.
Are u not playing close range loadouts playing watson. Whenever I play watson I like close range alot more, like shotguns. Playing in buildings like watson is meant for I always thought clsoe range
same, usually r9 and pk for me. but my loadout changes when i play ranked cus most teams play safe and u cant just W key everyone, and u need a weapon to poke damage with. scouts and snipers aren't my thing but im forced to use it when i play ranked 😅 tho i remember Dazs previously mentioned that he uses long range so he can poke damage and level up armor for his teammates
Facts. If anything, the last ranked system was fine. Kills take more skill to obtain than placement, so you should be rewarded fairly well for them unlike this season
@@pootzmagootz a balanced mixture would make sense too as many people treat the game like a TDM it feels like (in pubs for example where everybody hotdrops and there are 3 Teams left by the start of the first zone) as its a BR after all, but not giving points for kills at all unless the people you kill are higher Elo/MMR than you doesnt make much sense either. I think i get like 15 points every tenth game or something for kills when i finally kill a pred or high masters player, other than that i can drop 6 kills or something and get nothing
@@pootzmagootzit would be fine if they took out splits I think. I'm high diamond when I try but there's not usually enough time. already masters this season with no issues
i am that one person who has crafted an alternator. I got respawned in one of the final rounds next to a crafter with 2 teams running up the hill pushing the res, so i quickly crafted the alternator, my teammate dropped me a stack of light and we fought to the death. xD
Im done with ranked for a bit. I recently won a game with 4 kills (dont remember the assists) and i only got the 200 first place points nothing for my kills. The whole night i never got any bonussen but i thought it was because i got 3rd 2nd or won with only 1 or 2 kills and the rest assists.
its broken for sure. I get 0 skill or rating and my friend gets double my points for eliminations with less KP. I had 10 kills one game and 3 were a solo squad wipe
Haven’t got a single bonus or any KP this entire season. It’s broken for me and a handful of others that I play with (also a ton of people complaining about it on Reddit and EA forums).
I just wanna say sir as a helpful tip when using wattson, USE HER FENCES!!! I don't see you use them hardly at all! For me personally I feel like especially when a team is pushing you, causing even the slight hesitation of fully committing can give you an edge. An example of this is on fragment you were nearly knocked on a bridge with a team in pursuit, simply blocking off the push through the bridge is extremely helpful. It just bugs me as a wattson main the lack of fences sir! I love your content still sir! Edit: you literally addressed what I said lmao
In the first match your team died because they were trying to res you. If they focused on staying alive or playing the zone they would've most likely lived. I've never seen respawning be worth it in the later rounds. Small circle, too many squads alive it's just a death sentence. Even if they get a respawn off then what? Your chances of surviving are very slim not to mention you alert every squad in the vicinity. They know you have no loot and they know it might be just 1 or 2 guys respawning, so you get pushed because they feel confident knowing its a 3v2. It's just simply not worth it in the later rounds. I'd like to see Respawn make the ships quieter and maybe speed up the animation
I love these videos. But FYI, the background music in the beginning is kinda loud , all I heard was a piano and barely paid attention to your words lol…The second fight where you got knocked you didn’t notice your teammate knocked one too. That’s why they didn’t push
this is the first time watching something from your channel and i'm glad your video came onto my youtube home because watching it helped me a little get better at playing the game because when i would play with friends or randoms we would always end up dying just because we didn't know to much on how to do certain things.
Please guys... Listen to me... Dont EVER take this guys advide... NEVER !!! I have seen many of his videos, I have seen how he plays. The more I watched the more realized that I want to take his advise and play against those who dont. So... Just dont... its not that hard.
I haven't really commented much on your videos, but I just wanted to say that it has been extremely helpful since I started playing Apex this year. Your long guide on Wattson made me fall in love with her and now she's my main. I really appreciate how you go about your videos too, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of the spectating series!
I’m lucky if I end up in gold so I’m no high level player by any means lol but that being said, I just can’t imagine having a solid amount of KP and other bonus stats that add to your points and you wind up going out at 11th and getting absolutely nothing but -25 or whatever it is…so there is just so much pressure to make top 10 no matter what bc nothing matters at all if you don’t end up top 10 and I think that’s where some balance could come into the system lol….
You know i take fights get 2 kills and then when second squads comes in my team fails to kill the second squad or cover for me and the cycle repeats basically i am just the pred on the team carrying th bozos who don't get to finish the other teams and becoming squad eliminated is annoying.
Yeah my lobbies have been getting slower overall I'm at masters now and I've had games where it was round 3-4 with still 11-13 squads left but that's what also makes it fun because it keeps you on your toes
just a few days ago hit diamond for the First time but I am hating the rats all over people need to stop being afraid to take fights especially when they could be good fights although while I was in plat I was surprised to see so many of my opponents that I would die to often be pred like I went against a #13 pred the other day its honestly crazy but I'm sure that the hidden mmr rating is the reason they are showing up in my lobbies I would assume they are around my same skill level I think the ranked system could use some work specifically more points being taken at higher lobbies for entry. other than that even facing so many masters and some preds I am having a decent time I think the system will take awhile to adjust but I think next season or maybe even near the end of this season we may see some change in our matches on how people play.
Since it’s skill based now doesn’t that mean there’s a special Olympics (.5kd )version of ranked now? Can you imagine the masters in those lobbies that’s some stuff that would be cool to watch. Or am I misunderstanding it. Because I just started playing again I’m in silver playing against preds WTH.
Can anyone try to help me explain this? Last night I was playing with my friend and I was bronze 1 and he was bronze 2 but at one point we placed 8th and I had 4 kills and he had none but he got 49 more LP than I did.
@@Dazs I might have the wrong idea on how MMR works but I have a lot more stats than he does since i'm almost 200 levels above him. He also got a masters badge last season and he never played a single ranked game
Gotta disagree with the only 5 minutes of training a day. Verhulst has a whole hour routine he does most days. And that’s one of the best players in the world and he still practices that much.
That is a different level of play. I meant for the the average person with time constraints. If you only have an hour and half a day to play type beat.
I was struggling in Plat 3 last season and basically hard stuck And now I’m a masters player this season… Im pretty good at the game, but I lack the skill and discipline of a true masters player Im hoping it’s more challenging next season so when I hit masters I feel nothing but accomplishment
i am in diamond two and it’s the same for me ever since but now i get one clip in seconds or snipped every minute and for some reason i always die first no matter how much i peak or don’t peak i don’t get it well maybe i am using gibby
