My 5yr grandson seems to have functional speech issue. He talks a lot, long perfect sentences. I grasp main words in his sentences and then understand the gist. His mom dad, understand him, his sibling too. But rest of us infrequent visitors don't.

My son was diagnosed with mild autism July of last year. We have been endorsed for speech therapy (by our occupational therapist). He goes to a neurotypical school and although he can more or less cope, it is hard for everyone around him since he does not converse like other kids. I really would like to equip myself with methods on how to help him while looking for an ST. I am also worried since the pedia told me the golden years to learn speech is only until 5 years old - which is 3 months from now.

My son has both and I have requested to speak to his speech therapist and we are in October and still I haven’t heard from her. I want to remove his school

Thanks for the info. My child prefers to play alone unless I get a new toy then he would want to play with me. He does however give me more attention with table time activites. Do you have any videos on activites that don’t involve toys?

My 7 yr old daughter is very good in academics but she has a problem with language. But we are on speech therapy for 5 months now. Slow improvement but still an improvement. I'm glad I found this video.

My son is gonna be 5 year old soon but has problem with social skills and language. He talks to us at home but not around other kids . But he loves to play with them . The problem is he doesn’t talk to them .

Hi My Son Is 4 Years Old And He Can Have A Conversation With You However You Will Only Understand Him By Putting Together Clues From A Few Words He May Say. He Can Independently Read 40+ Sight Words Clear But When It Comes To Speaking A Sentence It Does Not Make Out. Are You Able To Give Me Feedback From What I've Giving You?
