@@filmbright When 3 out of 10 voices are available.. the rest requiring the "pro" upgrade, I decided to get a refund. I was already unhappy that it was a cloud app, but if it did work as advertised I wouldn't mind so much. Heck, I'd upgrade if they sold an offline version.
@@DJRonnieG how did you do the refunding process? Through their support system? I ask because it seems to be so complicated to do a simple refund. Thanks.
I'm glad I had it for 30 bucks because it's just slightly better sounding than the free tools you can find online. The majority of the voices are only in the pro version. You better keep the sentences short because there is no preview of the audio, you have to generate the file before you can listen to it. The user interface is not great, you'll have to adapt to it. The pros are: one time fee, quick export, nice pronunciation.
One day this will be the future, but its not there yet. This is far from what is being advertised. Speechelo, if you want to prove us wrong, feel free to do so.
I bought/trialling the standard and I understand a lot of the negative comments but for me it's a good timing/visualisation tool that is relatively quick and easy and is bearable to listen to in editing ~ until you're sure you need to get a 'real' voice over.
I have the pro version and I like it. It would be great if they had African American Voices. It would fit my business better. But it does what I expected it to do.
In your promo video you were talking about selection of the voices, I have purchased your standart package which has only 2 male an 1 female voices to choose from. Not good at all.
The ad was misleading in many ways. True. What I hate the most is that you seem to be buying their full software, and once you pay you are informed that this is a "standard" or a crippled version. And If you want to have the best that they god you need to pay monthly. The ad is a high level of misinformation.
Yes I agree! The company made it seem as if you were getting the full version as a "One-Time" deal! I will be calling my back for a refund come Tuesday morning!
The voices included in the standard version are definitely limiting and not the best. The 1 male they use to sell the product, then 2 robotic soudnind adults and 2 kids?!
I enjoy this, even with it's limitations. I really like the developers, and I believe they will continue to improve it. It's a gut feeling, and I realize I've only been doing this since mainframes were dominant in business, but I'm usually right about these things. I DID go PRO and I find it to be a very reasonable value, especially for other "off-label" uses. Thanks Cristian.
It has helped me a lot, give it a chance. I know Spanish and French and the translations are very good. Maybe we have to play a little with some words but honestly, no one told me ever it was a "machine" voice, and if you need a voice over you pay a SAG member.
Because generating this audio with this crappy useless stuff, would take 10000 times more than just read the text!! using this crap Is a huge waste of time for nothing at all
Hang on. What the heck? Do these guys know how long it will take to get 300 words in an audio file when Standard version is only 5000 CHARACTERS? (of course they do). When I heard the sales video my brain was thinking 5000 words, not characters. So annoyed right now. Didn't mention that on the sales page. I cannot imagine the time I would need to do one sentence at a time AND add oddball punctuation? I only signed up for the Standard. I forgot about how they would hide all the things YOU CAN'T DO with it. I'm cancelling. Ticks me off. Should report them to atty general.
One question: How do you put the emphasis on a word when using the "AI voice" engine? The engine does generally a pretty good job with stressing words, but it can't possibly detect when I want to emphasize a specific word or word group (unless I can tell it to do so). Examples : THAT'S what she said. That's WHAT she said. That's what SHE said. That's what she SAID.
In promotion you make it sound like you are getting all the features for life with one time fee. AFTER! you make the payment you are informed with trillion junk adds pushing you to buy "MONTHLY!" subscription or PRO and what not.
Information on what order Speechelo merges files would be useful, i.e. the order that they are selected, were created, or the top-down order that they appear in the list.
So, i purchased Speechelo a few days ago now and i have to admit that the AI sounds pretty unrealistic even if you do add more punctuation marks into places where those punctuation marks are not supposed to be....These videos are 2 years old now, so, that also tells me that this software has not improved over that time period as these are the videos you are recommended to watch after you purchase Speechelo. Upon purchasing Spechelo and signing in you only have the standard AI voices to choose from and they are terrible. To use the PRO voices, which also sound terrible, you need to pay even more money to upgrade your package!!!
Can't believe I fell for this--but the example seemed so great, I bought all the upsells. Stupid. STUPID!! Then it didn't look OR work as promised. Agree with those here that it would have been better if they used their own software to make the video. Probably couldn't make it work that well...? Refund on all software. Crossing fingers that it actually goes through. If not, well, I'll share the bad experience and let Paypal punch them directly.
Hi there, did you managed to get refunded? I'm looking everywhere to apply for a refund but the only thing I've found is to create a ticket on Blaster suite "support". Which somehow needs a different account on its own. What a joke, at least it was "just" 33$...
Speechelo is still a synthetic voice. It may sound perfect to a non native English speaker, but to a native speaker it’s a robot. Absolute rubbish. If you want an non robotic voice over, practice with your own voice. Even an untrained voice will be better than this...
So very disappointed with this software. The only English UK male voice available in the Standard version is the same as 'Daniel's', freely available with MS Word. With MS Word you have two male and two female voices to choose from. You have no limitations on how many characters you use. So, tell me, what advantages are there in Speechelo? I would be truly embarrassed to offer anything created by this software as a voice over for a professional company. If I thought the read aloud voices sounded human in MS Word, I wouldn't have bought Speechelo. Unfortunately, the only voices Speechelo offers are just as bad, if not actually the same! Save your money and in MS Word Help, Type 'Read Aloud'. Then select your text and press play! At least you won't be paying extra for what you already have!

SO GUYS I gave a real feedback(too much marketing, too little core product improvement) but you hid it just makes people think only about negatives. Unfortunately the products are goodish but not good enough! I understand why so many apply for refund!
In this video you have clicked a Bunch of time... not just 3 clicks like you advertised. Also! you have a lot of limitations that you didn't advertised. Long up sell pages. I want my $27 dollars back hehehe.. No thanks man.
The instruction how to change the tone to exhibit passion, emotions or emphasise does not exist. It is good, but you need to be creative to make the voice to kindle emotions

Why on earth have Speechelo used a voice-over with such a strong accent? It's impossible to concentrate on what he is saying while at the same working out what he is saying. It's also much too fast. This shows a total lack of understanding about voice-overs. Awful!
You never actually used the produced voice over in any part of the above video, NEVER EVEN ONCE! You pressed play after describing, but NEVER let use hear the AI produced voice! HUGE RED FLAG! Sorry i wasted my $27!!
This Software is a total failure! I payed to support them, got the "lifetime-but-nothing" subscription (a kind of perpetual demo) but still a kind of crap. In their opinion I should copy sentence by sentence, then merge the outcome of 1000 small parts!!! How idiot is this?! What is the sense?! It takes 10 times the hours you need to record it with your voice! For a Stupid Article of 2000 words you have to copy and past more than 100 sentences! Really??????? So to have a crappy artificial voice that reads 2 minutes stuff, it takes hours!!! NEVER USED IT. IT DOESNT WORTH NOT EVEN FOR FREE!
