My Mom just passed 10 days ago - her last 2 months were in bed-ridden hospice care. With no nurse training, my brother and I were her 2 full-time care takers. Almost every minute of every day, I prayed I was doing the right things for her. Hardest thing I’ve ever done…and I’d do it all over again for my Mumsy.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have also recently lost my mother. Hospice was there with her also, and I found that during her passing I just wanted to be with her, quietly, letting her body do what was natural, and hoping she had spiritual protection to help her leave this earth. My questions and doubts came after she was gone. Had I not been present enough to ask questions to make sure she was comfortable, did I miss opportunities to ask for understanding from the hospice nurse in the room. Had I let her down in some way. I think we have to give ourselves grace and realize that end of life is something that none of us is educated in and unless staff or doctors inform us of the process we are without the tools to use to help our loved ones at this time. I just have to believe that I did enough.

Beautiful show. My mom died in 2007 and it took mom almost 2 weeks to die from Cancer. All of us kids, 9 of us, had time with her and she was never alone those final days. This video made me reflect on our time with mom. Thank you for this. I miss mom but know she’s with me.

My wife, MS in Nursing and a focus on Death and Dying. She set up several groups to handle parents of suicide children, death and brevement and caregivers support. She would talk about a children understanding death. She witnessed a child under 5 looking up opening her hands towards the ceiling and saying, in a matter of fact way, "All gone". To my wife it appears to have taken place at the same time as the soul left the body. My wife would then note "Do not be surprised if the child then goes off and plays normally." Great discussion!

My mother passed sway from dementia. During her time in care she never once asked after her dear cat that she had raised from a baby after its mother died. On the morning of my mothers services this cat passed away. We like to believe that she wanted her cat to be with her and came and got him to be eith her on the other side and to also be with his mother. 1:25:02

Sorry that I couldn't get through Julie (5/30/24) My question was to ask if you would check on my son (TBI 8 years ago) who is living homeless after spiraling from PTSD after my Mom passed in July. He was so devastated that he became delusional and had a full nervous breakdown...he refuses any and all help...and has gone totally no contact with me and my family. I would just love to know if he is OK?
