Patrick’s rock is a part of the earth, so if placed on the edge of a massive land form, eventually continental drift would pull rocky until about 10-15 years later, pet rocky finally crosses that meter

Ari Schwartz it would bit it doesnt count. You are moving with the earth, with the solar system, with the galaxy, with the universe. But you consider yourself as not moving. You are travelling at 0km/h or 0mph. So yeah technically, but no its not what this is about.
Ari Schwartz it is about relativ speed to the ground you are moving on . if you count external speeds the stone would travel much faster than the speed of light relativ to a nother galaxy out of the observable universe course of the universal expansoin.
Imagine if a garden snail 5 million years ago spent 5 million years getting to andromeda and back and knows the secrets of the universe and is infinitely smart but gets crushed by a random human...
