Duuuude I wish there was that tool from Final Cut where you can move the section of a clip without dragging the ends you know what I'm talking about? Then if you want to move to an earlier time in a clip you just press T and drag and it moves the timeframe without moving the clip. What do you do for this?
I did not know about the magnet thing. I thought I could only remove the main clip magnetization, but then when I switch it back on I can't leave any spaces between the clips anymore I was going crazy. Thank youuuuuu
Thanks- yes while they’re not there in the shortcuts menu, they are set to Q and W by default. You can see the buttons for them above the timeline on the left that confirm this 👍🏻
Hey Ben...great video as always, but I have a question that's making me crazy. On FCPX, I use the M key to mark a clip as it's a necessity for me when synching audio clips. I can't find a way to mark a clip in CapCut for Mac. Did I miss something or did CapCut forget that long time editors need that command. Please help as this is one thing I need to make the switch (or at least try) from FCPX to CapCut. I have a new batch of content next week and I'll be using the next few days deciding if I want to give CC a try. In summary: Where's the replacement for FCPX's M command to place a marker in a clip? Thanks in advance!
Hey- there is no marker feature in CapCut unfortunately. You can sync the audio easily though, by right clicking and choosing ‘sync video to sound’ with both clips selected.
@@BenClaremont Thanks Ben, I downloaded it, but haven't actually used it yet, although I have been racking up the notifications from the app about various templates and things to try. I am editing GoPro Scuba videos and currently have been using the KineMaster app.
Is there a way to use the side buttons of a gaming mouse as shortcuts, for example for moving between each clip as you can with the Up and Down arrows?
Nice video Im wondering how you got to delete right and left without selecting the clip every time. Ive set the shortcut to Q and W but I still need to select my clip to make it work any solution ?
How can we add shortcut for position change of the video clip its set to only scroll and its not changing at all ,I work on after effects and its easy there to change position from keyboard from left right arrow key but not here its difficult to set every single frame from mouse
On motorcycle videos, how do I turn off the horizon leveling feature, so my video looks more like a GoPro footage, without losing the stabilization benefits. I want the horizon level to follow the bike banking.
Goddamn i cant find normal trim tool when you can move video inside clip without touching left right corner, its like move video backward or forward in same timing frame in fcpx its tool name trim tool (t bottom), very useful. Do somebody know how to do this im Cap Cut

I think with the latest update they set them to Q and W by default. You can see by opening the tool menu at the top left of the timeline, and the shortcuts will be next to each tool.
Q is delete left, and it should be set by default. Just hover over the ‘delete left’ shortcut above the timeline and it will show you if it is something else in your version.
