I would call AOS Nobledark over Noblebright for sure. I wish it was more -bright tbh! but I enjoy that AOS is allowed to be slightly hopeful

Peachy, I think you need to make another Stormcast tutorial to show us how to paint another metallic tones: green metallic, red metallic, blue metallic, etc. I think you would do a great job like this one :)

I know it is such a different feel from his GW video's. Its nice to see some video's coming out that match how 90% of the players are going to paint their armies. I love Vincey V and that crew and aspire to be at their level someday but I would never get to play. I think one of them did a video discussing exactly that.

Wow is all I can say about those models You manage to make the gold look muted and realistic instead of the standard inside of Donald Trump's bathroom gaudy gold that GW paints Stormcast and Custodes. Also, Duncan Rhodes level of teaching here... really easy to follow and well explained. Keep up the awesome videos!!!

Saw that you used a paper towel for the drybrush stage. Have you tried out using a sponge and texture pad instead? I found it makes my the finish on my drybrushing not chalky. Would be a useful video to see the difference.

Right as im painting an absolute sh(..)tload of SC!! Im doing roughly the same paint scheme, only swapping out magragge for incubi darkness, VGC Turquoise, drakenhof, temple Guard... Oh, and the base rim goes with Death Core Drab. You should maybe try that one. At first it didnt bother me after trying out some different colours. But it started to mezmerize me and now i cant stop rimming everything with it. Yeh bebe!!

I have a plan to use the leadbelcher and Akhelian Green contrast for the armour with stormhost silver as the core metallic colour with a burgundy for the weapon hafts just like this. I was considering A decent Mid-Orange/Yellow for cloaks, tabards, etc. I was thinking Averland Sunset. What would you reccomend?

The skin tone looks incredible, will definitely be trying that out on my minis. You mentioned using a lighter tone to brighten it up further if desired, do you have a recommendation on which colour would work well for this?

Knight-Questor Flesh would be the next colour up for this skin tone, or you can mix a little white into the bloodreaver for a lighter version of that.

any suggestions on how to not go crazy over all the greebles and bitz on newer GW models? i feel like i'm getting painting paralysis on my Stormcast because there's so many extra straps, handles, leather, etc to pick out :( you showed a little clip of picking out some details, with a brush that was larger than i expected. did you use multiple brushes? i am guessing the metal bitz get picked out first then cloth and leather are last?

I've just painted a bunch of the Golden Stormcast and they look awesome! I've based them with Agrellan earth (crackle paint one) and I'm not sure what colour to use to dirty up the cloaks any ideas?

Karak stone is pretty close to Agrellan Earth, so you could try that.

the imperial guard schemes you had us vote on a while ago. where are they? we will not forget! and I find stormcast to be way too expansive per miniature, not having all that much money left after everything is paid means picking miniatures based both on cool factor and price per mini :). or at least it that seems to be the case whenever I've looked. I usually paint for fun and not for games so price per army doesn't mater too much for me :) also, AK Interactive metallics are amazing, they probably are some of the best metallics in their price range (3€ where I live).

Remember if you play 40k, to hold that 10VP advantage over your mates to nudge them to make an effort and bring painted minis to the table. All in good spirits of course. And to lord over them that you painted yours and got rewarded for it.

It isn’t really an issue I just never do it much, as it makes it harder to replicate down the line if you want good matches for additions to your collections, more of a habit from working at GW tbh

No it’s more a habit from gw I picked up, and for my own personal collections, it’s harder to replicate down the line should you want to add more units to your collection. I just rarely mix colours
