I really need to join this now that i have learned more theory and can play solos and getting better at bends, sweeping and runs. I can play fast and do some creative stuff but i want to play smoother and more effortless regardless of tempo. This is why enjoy your playing so much and inspires me because i feel that emotion in your playing. Im always up for challenging myself.

I am disappointed about JTC. Not abut Gus. But this material is clearly for beginners!! It may be intentionally designed for those, but then the marketing is off. It is for a large part just some chords, scales and arpeggios, and a few licks. Played with alternate and economy picking. This is clearly a collection of licks for beginners just to practice, but in absolutely NO WAY helpful for technique. Nothing here is a speed picking "concept". It's just licks. For example, the material talks about stuff like "This one is in D Aeolian", "the rhythmic feel here is important", "this uses 3nps pattern". Yea... no really sherlock? I can see that. Would have been much more interested in how Gus decides to involve such phrases in his solos. How his picking technique developed. What picking technique he can recommend. Whether he uses pick slant. What phrases are good practice? totally gets neglected. It's just a collection of licks if you will. Cool thing is they have the tabs in like 3 different formats and background tracks. But the tabs lack fingering annotation for example. Just my opinion. Gus still rocks!! At least half the money for the material goes to Gus, according to JTC. But i guess i would rather donate to gus directly than buying this particular material again.
