I really did, thank you Lisa xx Yes, I was pleased with them, I think I’m getting better - still room for improvement, but it’s fun getting there! 🤩 Happy puzzling to you too! Xxx
Hi Vicky, Another wonderful puzzle compilation and so glad you had a great holiday in the US. We’ve actually got the Kitty In A Cup 500 puzzle, which was a delight to do 🥰. Although we aren’t speed puzzlers we really enjoy your discussions on tactics as they are equally relevant to ‘slow’ puzzling. Warm wishes from Oz. M+C😎😄
Thank you Mark! I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I agree, you can definitely utilize the same tactics for leisure puzzling too x I had a wonderful time in the US, thank you - can’t wait to go back ❤️
Welcome back, Vicky! Glad to hear that you had fun here in the States. Nice puzzle haul! It was interesting to see that doing the “hard part first” on the puppy puzzle seemed to-as you thought it might-help your overall time. (Oh, and strangely enough the only random cut puzzle I have done also had a duplicate piece in it. 🙃) Happy puzzling! 🧩
Thanks Ed! I had a great time 🤩 I was pleasantly surprised with the puppy one, it did seem to help, certainly psychologically anyway. Oh, that’s an odd coincidence with your extra piece! 😊 Happy puzzling to you too! 🧩
Thank you Stijn! Yes, I’m still practicing here and there - mostly for online comps, but also because there are an increased number of events happening in the UK too, which is so great. Not to mention BOTYP, still gotta beat Janette at least once! 😆 If I wasn’t doing all of that though, I’d still practice just because I enjoy it 😍 Your speed puzzling is going from strength to strength! You’ll all smash it at Worlds, and you’ll have so much fun 🤩
Look at you hitting the ground running! Right back to work from vacation! Me, personally need a vacation from my vacation. Glad you had a great time in the states. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you. I never think that you ever ramble on…
Ha ha! I definitely needed a few days, but was looking forward to puzzling again and, in fairness, I had already made a start on this video - so it was half work! 😆 I loved it there, Ruth - we had so much fun. Thank you - I’m glad you don’t think I ramble xx
Sounds like you had a wonderful time in the US. From your list I've done Maritime Flair, Polygon Lion, Kitten in a Cup and Dreams. Nowhere near your times, two in just under two hours, one just over two hours and Polygon Lion took me ages and ages. By the way did you discover if the cut on your Polygon Lions were the same or different? Had a go at the competition, disappointed to see that jigsaw puzzles were not on the list. 😒
Hiya! Yes I had a blast thank you xx Polygon Lion is so tough - took me three goes to get under 90 on it! 😆 I actually did check the lions and I forgot to put it in the video after all that - the pieces are all the same shape, but not exactly, some prongs are slightly higher or lower - wee variations like that, but mostly it’s the same. I told Serious about that as soon as I noticed it. I asked if they could add puzzling onto the hobby list. She said she’d look into it and find out if it can be changed. I was really hoping they had, but obviously not. I’ll chase it up again - they asked me to mention the competition, but it seems a bit daft not having puzzling in the list in that case. 🤷♀️
Hiya! Just to say, I got onto them again and they added puzzling to the list - think it was just an oversight to be honest, but it’s there now, thank goodness 😅
Just to let you all know: i ordered a puzzle from Boulevard Online, which was said to be delivered, but never actually was. My money was taken, never an answer to any mails of complaint.
