Every time i see a trailer for this movie, it give me chills. It raises the hair on my arm and the back of my neck. This is how a movie based off an anime should be made!!
If they made a Speed Racer game that was part burnout (racing and takedowns) and part rocket league (jumps, boosts, powerups) then that would be one hell of a game.
Well back then in 2008, this was considered akin to HD. If you look closely, this video was made with a 16:9 aspect ratio (which is the high definition standard). Also, the audio quality of this trailer is still legit and crisp till this day. Yes, while the resolution may be 360p, do bear in mind that this was way back in 2008. Plus, I remember that I got this trailer as an exclusive trailer so you prob won't find another video like this out there.
Racer X is the Bill Gates of the auto-race circuit, the true jockey of daredevil spirit and the spiritual guide of the willful and affable Speed. This movie adaptation of the beloved animation series is a simple guilty pleasure.
Too much CGI makes this look cheesy surreal like they made a movie with my bro;s old matchbox cars. 2 dimensional characterization and not cool considering the over the top effects. The real Speed would have been disappointed......
The cartoon WAS an over the top cheesy story. The movie took what made the cartoon so whimsically captivating and revamped it into something more modern and exciting. They grounded the story to an actual meaning that can relate to anyone no matter what age, while still keeping its child like charm. Any adult or child who watched the cartoon and liked it, will and/or has loved the movie.
***** Exactly. This was the best Speed Racer movie it could have been, well maybe that's an exaggeration but it was really good. When you ask for something else, you are asking for it to not be Speed Racer.
