I have the RR which has been (mostly) trouble free. Irritating issues include vibrating front indicators when fan running & a reluctance to cold start & almost impossible to get in to neutral
I've been keeping up with your videos for a while. The only problem I have with mine is the quick shifter. It would stop working every now and then but after a while it stopped working all together. I finally got it to stop working when the bike would get really hot, but it would work after it cooled down. The bad part? It wouldn't give out any error codes. You have to wait till it gives you the error code on the dash. I got the Check Engine light and Transmission Fault. The problem is caused by the gear position sensor, but the dealership Will Not replace any parts till you get the error codes on the dash. As for the fueling problem, I recommend you get TuneECU and adjust the fueling. I did on my 2021 Street Triple 765 RS and it was awesome! As for the foot positioning... I feel the same about it. Every time I try to hug the tank, I end up hugging the frame with my knees. Very uncomfortable! I did get on the 1200RR and noticed the pegs are higher, and you actually hold the tank not the frame. I will definitely get a set of those brackets for the RS. Hope this helps you and Ride Safe!
I own a 1200 RS -- no problems until now. I had suspension issues, too stiff. Softened front and rear, and felt a whole lot better. Installing a Pro Race R2R next week, we'll see what happens.
Nice clip mate , defo put me off buying a new triple all these niggles I keep reading about!!! I have had triples for years all reliable as hell. Will be keeping my 2012 a few years yet. Hope you get the bike sorted and get problems ironed out but under warranty I hope .
Nice video mate… I’ve had a few issues but were solved pretty quick. Oil sensor was actually changed (not a reprogram). Valve cover was changed before it even fell off and had none of the other reported problems regarding leaks. No issues whatsoever with vibration and the suspension I found to be perfectly ok. I could seriously ride it all day (and have). Brakes are perfect but have a friend who had to get them bled. No noticeable problems with mine as reported in the video below 5000 although at 30mph it prefers 4th compared to previous 1050 which could sit happily in 6th. Agree 100% with the tank size as my previous 1050 had a 17L tank. I also think the dash is a little slow but haven’t had any other problems with the dash so far. Neutral was a bit difficult at the beginning but now seems pretty easy so I’m guessing it’s loosened up. Everything else is just pure smiles. I’m guessing that as a first model of a new generation there’s gonna be bugs. Hope you get your problems sorted soon mate :)
Oh mate sorry your having issues, mine has been going great front end is stiff but I'm used to it now , neutral is hard to find , other than that I love it .
Great review. My mate has just done 180 miles on his brand new R/S 2022, and yep, oil pressure fault thrown up. Gotta get it to dealers now. He isn’t impressed by what seems to be a common fault.
@@sergeantsodom6969 I had a 2018 speed triple RS and also got the oil pressure fault, apparently my dealer told me it was known for triumphs to 'burn' oil and run hot. This all occurred from freshly topped up oil/replacement filter within
Fucking hell mate, you need to get rid of that pile of shit, you have a right lemon 🍋 there mate , I've always rated triumph especially with owning a street triple rx but don't think I'd purchase one again mate tbh after watching your videos on the problems you've experienced, hope triumph do the right thing and replace it with a decent one .Good video mate.

Thank f#×k I ride a Blackbird .. 12 yrs on = one headlight bulb , one reg rectifier and a camchain tensioner. 54 ,000 miles on my bike now.. I have thought about getting a Speed triple as I like the looks ect but modern electronics are shite .. I drive a truck for a living . .. its two years old and the dash is always lit up like a Christmas tree with fault lights . . From day one .. get em cleared and a few days later they come back ... always . I can't bring myself to trade up. . Specially after watching this .. Good luck with your bike .. regards Simon.
It is interesting, for me the suspension is perfect (i compared it with MT10 SP). But my weight is 100 kg. Triumph has new more comfortable settings for the suspension, the old were to stiff. I hope I don't get too many problems with the bike.
@@sergeantsodom6969 new sub mate , I’m keeping mine 😂👍 I’m hoping the “ Low oil pressure warning light is fixed , apart from that it seems ok tbf , I’ve had it 4 weeks now with 400k it’s going to have its 1st service this Saturday so hopefully it’ll be fixed if not it’s going STRAIGHT BACK TO Triumph !!
Have you test ridden? Thing is it's an astounding bike, when it works. I'd make sure your warranty is safe and secure, but here's hoping yours will be perfect
@@sergeantsodom6969 there wasn't one available to test ride unfortunately. I liked the previous 1050 rs then heard they were releasing this and it had me hooked. I haven't had a bike since 2008 which was a m109r Boulevard. Prior to that I had a k3 gsxr 1000. To me this bike was like a combination of the two, sports bike power and handling with a more comfortable riding position. I considered the v4s streetfighter but was concerned about servicing and parts costs over the triumph. Hopefully you get yours sorted/replaced soon. I did hear rumours of a recall for the low oil pressure coming mid April?
Great videos. Shame the motorcycle press don't do more to highlight issues like this, they're far too busy hyping the newest bikes. I took a 1200RS out for a test ride and fortunately ended up buying an S1000R. Yep seems like you have had your share of issues with yours. I suspect there are a percentage of any bike / car that have issues and seems you got one of them. fortunately wouldn't say they are all like that and if you took volume produced and sold vs those with issues I reckon a lot more without issues than with. As you said you couldn't give a shi#$ about those that havnt had issues as you have... a few comments to make to at least give another viewpoint on some of the items you mention as negatives. 1 fuel consumption. Compared to a variety of similar bikes and to mates who ride the duke and ducati diavel, they get worse mileage than my triple 1200 rs so not sure which bike as a replacement would be a lot better in terms of mileage. 2. The low fuel warning. Agree it comes on pretty early but a flick of the menu toggle and it is removed so full display back and a small warning light to remind you. 3. The false neutral or hard to find neutral. I think user error on this one as I have worked out was causes it on a shift from 1st to 2nd.. so when stationary you need to go from 2nd to neutral not 1st to neutral. It's by design to reduce false neutrals. I have never had an issue when I go from 2nd down to neutral, goes inti neutral ebery time. What I have had now on 2 occasions is that issue you had in the video where it seemed to go into neutral on the up shift. First time it happened I swore the bike did it and I touched nothing. Second time I realised that it was me.. my foot touched the quickshifter but wasn't a proper shift, more a light bump and that just tapped it Into neutral.. my fault not the bikes. Anyway just some comments on my observations of a few of the things you raised.

@@sergeantsodom6969 I had EXACTLY THE SAME FAULTS ON MINE LOW OIL PRESSURE AND TRANSMISSION LIGHT, I gave it back to Triumph and got a brand new one!! SAME FAULT “ low oil pressure “ the dealer are going to fix it this Saturday on its 1st service so HOPEFULLY IT’LL BE FIXED 👍I’ll let you know 👍
Vibes on my 765 were downright painful. They seem lower key on the Speed Triple 1200. My CBR650R is crazy smooth in comparison, but the power difference is vast ... but I probably won't buy any more triples or Triumphs in the future. I wish Yamaha would get off their ass and make something more interesting with the MT-10 engine.
Hey bud is it just me or does the Street triple seem to be more fun than our Speed triples 😂? Every video I’ve seen of the Street it looks like fun 🤩’mmm maybe the Speed is too much bike ! Lol

Cracking bike the dukes, iv had all 3 generations. Tho they also have many issues. Gen 3 numerous brake fluid leaks. Followed by water leaks, that took the dealer many attempts to locate. Rs1200 now.
Would be a shout along with the SDR, or tuono. However I love this bike and I'm willing to do what I can to keep it/get one that isn't faulty. Seems like I'm moaning a lot (which I am) but this is an incredible bike, when it works
@@sergeantsodom6969 Curious what your weight is? I'm 165lb and I don't find it that bad. I'm not tracking it and there is some adjustability with rebound. But when riding hard I can admit it likes to shake the head.
Hi, seen your channel, sorry to hear that you are having a lot problems with your bike, and it sounds like triumph are giving you the runaround, I might have a solution to your problem, basically your bike is on finance, so technically the bike belongs to the finance company and its not your bike until you make the last payment, so if you get in touch with your finance company and let them know of all the issues surrounding your bike, and tell them you have lost all confidence in the reliability and the triumph dealership, and you like the bike but you just sooner have your money back and start again, because the bike has always got issues and I just don't trust it anymore and just insist that you would like your money back. Basically your finance company has bought the bike for you so you can have your jam today and not tomorrow as the saying goes, so they can then contact triumph and let them know that they have been sold a lemon, and believe me the finance company has got a lot of clout, they can threaten to stop their finance on all products if they don't play ball. I know as I had this issue with a car and the car dealership kept giving me the runaround and they threatened to stop his finance if he didn't resolve the issue properly. So my advice is let your finance company know in writing as well as verbally of all the issues with your bike, and it is up to you whether you want it fixing or your money back, but I would insist on my money back preferably, I hope this helps you in the future Regards Peter
Great advice 👍 I LITERALLY DID EXACTLY THAT LAST MONTH THEY GAVE ME A BRAND NEW BIKE AND STILL “ low oil pressure warning ⚠️ light , this Saturday they will do the 1st service and fix it , if not I will give it back …AGAIN!! 👍
