Thanks! Good memories, I got the national (B) best at +40 kn, like Peter Hart. Agree with his comments, Babette was impressive! Still hurting when I see the wipeouts. Martin Van Meurs, ... Incredible to see Bielak, E11, Beale and others still chasing the chrono 27 years later. Greetings and stay safe. Boris S

Absolute carnage. Impressive speed too on the old kit. I still sail a f2 sputnik from that era and the old gear can be quite unforgiving. Would be amazing to see conditions and an event like this in the world Cup again. Peter has some brilliant archive footage on his channel too. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, the good old days! Pete’s Master Class videos have great content and high light the fun windsurfing still brings to all of us, just not hitting the 40 knot barrier!

Always say back in the old days, when it took three bounces before you dug in, you were close to forty, and alot of runs seemed to end that way (for me anyway). the gear looks after you better now and you check your gps. thankfully because the bones mend slower now. Great stuff WS.TV keep it coming. ( allowed back windsurfing in aus today , 😁🤙)

Unfortunately we won't be seeing that wind in that spot anymore. They built apartments close to the beach and the levante doesn't hit like that anymore on the shore...

Same here in Fuerteventura at Matas Blancas. Tossers built a kite school right in the middle of the best speed beach which totally ruined the wind. Oh, and it's full of dangle boarders who haven't got a clue what they're doing. They gave up having the speed championships there because of it.
