Mark, I can't thank you enough. I've been using these videos to repair my Speedfight 2 well enough that it past an MOT with flying colours. :) I must have saved a fortune on labour, but most importantly, repairing my scooter has become some what of a new passion for me. Tomorrow I'll be taking that restriction washer out! I liked and subbed a long time ago. :) I look forward to your future videos!
worth checking them but don't think its them as they would have starting and running problems from the get go what's the plug look like after a ride, often this can be tuning and running too rich so check that and air filter then re tune from 3 half tunes , ive had this with a faulty plug? go over everything like in my videos bud
I had quite a few scooters and maintained/repaired them all by myself. The Peugeot Speedfight however, is one of the WORST kind you can get as far as we talk service friendly construction..! The air intake...just a pain in the ass to get out so one can get to the carburettor. The sparkplug...for crying out loud, why the fuck do I have to remove the mud cover so I can get a firm grip on the sparkplug..??? Damned..! If they make their cars in a similarly awkward way, I never buy such a piece of shit..! Besides all this, it really drives well, when it works.
Hi mark. I have a speedfight 2 but I can't bleed my rear brake no matter what I do. Is there a trick for speedfight? Because I have done it on other bikes but I can't do it on speedfight. Thank you
Hi I've got a 100cc vivacity air cooled got new rollers belt seems OK clutch is good its the cat version all standard other then someone messing with jets and airfilter I can not get it to run right it had standard 13g rollers I've put 10.6 in rev range is OK but struggles to pull away have to really build up the throttle most the time just doesn't want to go at all its a nightmare starts and runs fine but unerload it won't ride it will fire up and run just not really ride I did buy a bypass for it dont know if that or the Coil could be playing up any ideas or thoughts would be great been trying to sort it for over a week now and nothing is working ie jetting or rollers or any airbox or filter I put on and it is a gurtner carb from France not dellorto and it also leaks so could it need a rebuild the carb ?? Any help much appreciated thanks
Hi I've got a ludix 50cc with a couple of issues I hope you could help with. 1st poor start and once started will not idle. 2nd no drive when throttle pulled makes all the noise but wheel will not turn? Hope you can help
hey Mark I have a Peugeot Speedfight 2 LC stage6 exhaust malossi belt stage6 racing big bore kit and my CDI unit is standard what is the best CDI unit for my bike please
it would depend on what CDI unit you have in the first place, really the only one you can upgrade is the four pin to the right of the battery but I tend to just use the standard one as I guess you are getting 50 plus out of the bike now which is great for a 50cc , if you have put a 70cc kit best put a little 2t oil in with the petrol that should it from seizing as you cant up the oil pump, this is why normally big bore kit's on these only last a few month's !!
Hi mate. I have a 50cc 2 stroke scooter that has been upgraded by previous owner with variator kits and 70cc technogas and stuff. Runs 100km/hr on flat but from a stop on a steep road, it boggs down and gave me a headache. Do you think i need to change the contra spring to a stiffer one like 1500 or 2000? It currently has a stage6 medium contra spring but m not familiar what stiffness this spring is. Thanks for any help.
Hi I have a Kymco Super 9 and I have a problem with the rear wheel, before it was bogging down when I tried to accelerate and now the back wheel stopped spinning, I have changed the Rollers, could it be the clutch? it like revs but not loud and the wheel spins in idle but when I accelerate it doesnt spin at all, the belt is fine, rollers are new and I dont know what could be wrong, either piston rings or Clutch springs? please help.
I like the 50cc scooters because in my state other than having to buy the tags from the DMV they're considered a motorized bycicle. I can sneak a 72, 80 cc or bigger big bore kits , a A - 9 camshaft and a Jand J carburetor on em' and the LEO'S won't know the difference. ........ most of the time .
So you just told everyone what I've been saying for over 10 years and in most of the 70 speedfight videos and the other 150 moped videos 470 videos later Thanks
Hi mark I have an Italjet formula twin I have a problem that the bike runs and starts fine but when I’m on it and go to ride it has no power. This is an issue that appeared one day and won’t go away. I have change the piston rings as one set on one piston had gone, I have cleaned the carb and mostly replaced all parts, do you think that to rollers, belt or clutch could be my problem?
I did reply bud but cant now see it so yes take off the cover and have a look, id change the roller any way if they are bad or damaged do check the belt and clutch like in my videos
Hi mark great vids question for you i have a pulse scout 49 bought it very cheap non runner got it running replace fuel cleaned all lines new battery etc etc champion fired up no problem went to rev it full cut out took carb apart cleaned everything jet float the lot replaced carb didn't connect the air filter pipe fired up revved up brilliant put the air pipe back on no filter bogged out put filter in again revved up bogged out took pipe again of carb revved up high like it should what's your thoughts please
I have changed everything on my 150cc scooter Chinese it would not pull away and I change the rollers to the variator I put a new clutch on a new belt new carburetor I just new manifold I even put new gasket around engine it would not pull away it cranks fine it idles pretty good can you tell me why it's not putting a way
I have a 2015 Malibu propel moped bought it used it won’t roll on its own like the back wheel is stuck but when I force it to roll it starts it self up like I kick started it but I didn’t just made the back wheel roll anyone know how to fix it
hi bud thanks for watching ok engine / VARIATOR cover off and you will need to take it all off and service it or replace parts, id change the rollers any way but check out the clutch too make sure that is all free and moving, if still playing up also check back brake as they can jam of sometimes too and that's a lot of wd40 thanks for watching I have many other videos that will help too, please like and sub mark
Hey mark i have a question. My speedfight 2 50cc lc only sometimes stalls when it goes back to idle. It does idle but then when i give it some trottle it dies out. I have already cleaned the carb twice, the petcock and the float still work propperly an i have cleaned the air filter and changed the spark plug. I also checked for air leaks but none. Could it be a electrical problem or do you have any other suggestions?
ive had this many times and it just comes down to the carb getting old, they just seem to have funny little ways its odd but the do they can get micro fractures or just worn when you cleaned it did you take both jets out ? can you get the idle jet out ? how it the float needle as they too can wear / stick you checked the fuel and air pipe and they are both soft and tight , vacuum is fine not too much over run reed ok ? it might not be stalling due to low fuel it can be too much too as is flooding! if it is running well ,starting and stopping ok and only a odd time stalling it would only be carb but guessing you already changed the plug and new air filter and took out the air mix and cleaned there too? id go over it all again and see how it is after
mark savage yes i cleaned out both jets and the rest of the carberator twice the float moves freely and stops the fuel when you push it up. I also have already replaced all the hoses that go to the carb end i did install them correcly. The wierd thing is that it only does it sometimes. Sometimes it just drives away normaly and sometimes it bogs. When it does bog i can start it right after and it drives away normaly. I will upload a short clip of to my youtube channel and realy hope you can help. Still thanks for all the vids and helping all of us out with working on it👍🏻
@@tamastenhaaff2291 yea mate up load it and I'll take a look but sounds like you have done all the right things to sort it Reeds ? Ht coil ? Stator coil ?
Changed my belt and when bike is on the stand it revs and back wheel spins as it should but when off the stand and going to ride it doesn’t move do you know why ? Thanks josh
Hello, Mark. I have a scooter speedfight 1, I changed the piston, put a medium contra spring, lighter rollers, but it does not always drag into the hill ... I have a leovince touring exhaust, and the main jet do not know how big ... Can you help me? Why does not my scooter develop nice engine turns?
The stator only goes one way due to the connection and magnet part Watch my stator videos There's a few and they will help Plus check cdi for spark problem
Hi Mark i am having a horrible problems with my speedfight 2 LC... the carb is set correctly, the engine is starting and its working with no problems... but i dont have any power when going on to hill... bike pulls away but hardly, but when i see a hill to climb it wont pull away... what can be wrong? i have changed the rollers, spring almost everything and its still the same... and i have tried with sport exhaust and normal factory and its still the same... how can i fix this nightmare? i this didnt happened to me yet... regards u are the best
I have a speedfight 2. New carb new belt and rollers. New oil feed but will start up and ref when on the stand and wheel turns but it wont rev or move when im sat on it. Will bog out. What would you say it it? Got told it may be crank seals?
Replaced the crank barrel and piston on a 1997 LC speedfight. Turns over brilliantly until you put a spark plug in then it's cranking on off occasionally. New starter in there no difference.... Any idea where to start?
When you out in the plug you then get compression! Did you use 2t on the piston when fitting like in my videos ? Take off and re check your work bud Make sure it hasn't scored the barrel or piston Use easy start to get it going
@@marksavage hi I did oil it up as per your videos which have been a great help so thank you. Turned out to be the Bendix I hadn't lined up in the outer casing properly so when it was under pressure it moved away from the half pulley lol :)
Hiya mark, 50cc sachs, ye as you said there ok, but as i said when i try setting off it sounds like its going to cutt out, not sure not getting the fuel, no idea. Soon as it gets going its sound.no other probs, changed everything ,belt ,weights, as i said, but it seems to have started with the change ov the weights and belt..but the revs is just not there when im setting off, clutch dont no, coz if its not reving to pick up obviously its not going to set off good, pal im lost any ideas, the carb pin maybe,
Hello, my peugeot kisbee is bogging down when over a certain high rpm. I've cleaned the carb plenty, and it doesn't make a difference, changed spark plug and it works better but is getting worse again. I've been told it could be the the ignition coil causing miss fire. Any advancement on that or what else it could be. Thanks
Hey mark quick question speedfight 3 starts of kik but dosnt of electric start it just keeps turning over checked for spark has good spark when ots warm it will start of button cheers for any replie you may give
Very common They either kick only or electric only Mad I know But fir electric start problems its often you stator coil and volt regulator So stator off and clean or change A lot of work bud so maybe a summer job and for now just kick start it
@@patrickamphlett9003 then its the set up So you need more air Start with 3 half like in my tuning video Or you might need to down jet but if its running well and a good top speed you may mess it all up !
Changed the rollers in my Vairyator today. only 3 where slightly flat other 3 was still round. Is this normal ? chucked away that washer thing :-) also when i removed the cover to the rollers i noticed those 3 little things that fit in the roller cover that guide it to slide up and down are slightly damaged, do you know the bits i mean?
Yes I know what you mean and best change them , you often get them in a set for a bit extra , as for rollers they last time they where changed they may not have cleaned to roller area or maybe changed 3 you just never know but now changed they should make a difference bud , thanks for watching please like my videos mate thanks mark
I got speedfight 100cc 2000year Sometimes bike is losing gas totaly, and when i slow down, and start again it goes normaly, also pressure coming out of exhaust when this is happening. Can you tell me what the problem could be? Thank you.
Hi mark I am the guy with sport exhaust problem and i solve it after i changed the sport exhaust with the stock exhaust , what type of wadding need for sport exhaust and my new problem is after i run 2-3 km with my speedfight 2 50cc AC the engine loses power (i run with 55-65 km/h constantly)
Any motorbike wadding is fine e bay job mate and sounds like your carb float is not filling up give your carb and float a good clean. And maybe renew the fuel pipes
Mark, I have a 50cc Speedfight TReg, less than 6k miles, loads of new kit mostly Stage6, it does 60mph and accelerates quick off the line, faster than most cars. I'm looking to sell it and wanted to see whether you want it? Cameron
hi many thanks for the offer mate but I only play with ones that need work lol, but sure your sell it quick mate if it's running well and at speed like your saying , nice bit of tuning there bud well done
Need a bit of help with mine I have done a top end rebuild on it new carb gaskit new piston and ring new clutch and 1500 release springs exhaust and belt mine still don't want to go rollers are fine wt could it be if you know thanks
Carl Nicholls is the plug getting wet Have you done the wet hand test like in my videos Engine / crank seals Reeds ? You do have spark My 70 videos will help bud
Hey mark love your channel wonder if you can help me ....got a 2013 aerox 50cc....having problems it wont pull away at all but once at around 25mph it goes like stink...it has a stage 6 exhaust and a stage 6 variator with lightened rollers...had a new clutch and belt also stripped and cleaned the carb...already had a new piston and barrel as it was cracked. Everything is new but still no pull away at all....do i need to upjet the carb with exhaust and variator mods? Also to what size if i do cheers mate
Jake Shepherd hi bud thanks for watching , I've done a few videos on aeroxs often find after changing the exhaust it's the air box that messing around so all air petrol mix but try a different air filter like a sports one to test take the air box off and see how it pulls away then sure it will be that but if not play with air mix and try 5 or so upjet from what it is now , mark
Cheers mark i will try that tomorrow its strange it revs up fine on the stand but will not pull away at all untill up to about 20ish then all of a sudden it kicks in and goes well...cheers pal
Mark, the 50cc Speedfighter and 50cc Vivacity... The front forks look exactly the same, are they? I ask because my vivacity storks are seized beyond repair. I've removed them and seen a nice set of Speedfighter forks going that look like an exact match.
From memory I'm not sure best check on the web but if it's single front arm it should fit ! Are you talking about the whole suspension from head stock to wheel hub ? A front shock for a Speedfight is a little as £25 on w bay and vey easy to change . The whole thing is a bit more work lol , they often seize from the rear bolt maybe wd40 and give it a few turns to undo , hope I've got you right and the info helps , thanks for watching , mark
+mark “marky bike” savage I've removed my vivacity forks by undoing the nut, slideing out the bold and lifting the handle bars up. Then (without a c-spanner) tapping the two (or was it 3?) round nuts with a screwdriver and hammer. Then the forks just dropped out. The forks, yoke and pole are one piece. Then 'look' exactly the same as a Speedfighter forks I looking at. I guess I'm asking is the poll that you attach the handle bars too the same size. Oh and the break calliper fixings?
Hello mark can you help me ? I want to swap my engine in my Yamaha cygnus 125 to a 300cc engine do you know what engine would fit and what else I would need to upgrade. Cant find any info any where. Thanks
that's a big just up and not sure the brakes and frame will hold the new bigger engine! you would have to change everything bud and you would have to re-reg it as no one would believe its still a 125 lol but a big job
Hi Mark Sym Shark 125 new carb, new CDI. starts great accelerate whilst stationary and it cuts out with the smell of fuel. any ideas, please? Age 55, far too big a beer belly and my back is breaking trying to fix it, please help
Lol bud Petrol smell Got to be carb , fuel pipes Take out the seat bucket bud and have a look as its dangerous wirh the fuel ! Should be easy to find and fix bud
@@marksavage Thank you so much for replying. The scooter has stood for a while, I had to take the fuel tank off as it had an ingress of water as it had stood for some time. I replaced the carb after clearing the fuel system out and replacing the fuel filter. It starts the first time but bogs down, a neighbor had said that she could smell petrol.. so after checking, I have found that petrol is pouring out of the overflow pipe. there is a knocking whilst the engine is running and when I checked the oil dipstick, it appears to be no oil but feeling a trace of something, and melling and then tasting, it seems to be petrol??? I am not 100% on this. The scooter is a Sym Shark 125 jet 4 V The scooter runs lovely on tick over/idle but will not rev, I can not even accelerate to get the scooter up the drive, I have to push it. I have videos but don't know how to upload for you to see
@@james6244 no oil would be the knocking and may have caused a lot of damage ! Drain whats left and refill Carb leak will be float and or vacuum so needs sorting Flooding will cause this so once fix should be better But the oil maybe the death of it ! Sorry to say Fingers crossed bud
Speedfighter 50 ac.. Still having problems with starting up when cold I've put new choke on it but no different.. it just keeps turning over using electric start have to use kick start after a good few kicks it starts can't rev it till it warms up then it's perfect all day on the botton and first kick every time I've changed plug and cleaned air filter any idears
hi bud i,ve had a few over the years that just dont like electric starting but they will kick start. its the stator coil, the stator coil is not powering enough to the coil then plug to get it going, when you kick it it turns over a lot faster i have a video on the stator but it's a bit of a job but worth cleaning or changing hope that helps mark
I have a speedfight 2 , put a pipe on it and didn't upjet the carb in time , it broke down after a long drive but still starts after getting it home ... it starts up but loses power very quickly and will not pull away , is it likely to be a piston problem , or something more simple like the carb ..?
you say it broke down after a long ride?, did you get much more speed out of it.if so you may have made it dry seize as the piston would have moved a lot faster than normal and this is common. use good 2t oil from now on but I'd be checking the piston / replace as in my other videos on changing the piston. you don't always need to up jet after changing the exhaust if it runs well. it's an easy job and it may have been on it's way out so don't feel bad bud . hope that helps please like share and subscribe , mark
@@marksavage cheers mark..it had a mix of very worn 10"s in ..some weighed 8 or 9..tried 8, 6.5 and now 5.5 ..got better with each decrease ..replaced variator too as old rollers had marked it ..thanx for your time and videos
can anyone help just bought a gilera runner 70 it starts fine ticks over fault less but won't start to move until 7000 revs and when it does it feels like it goes straight in to the power band. just wanted to know how I would reduce the amount of revs it takes to set off
mar55 6 as in my variator videos bud check them out the basics are the same plus change your belt , it's an easy one for you to do , please like share and subscribe , and another reason I don't like 70 kits lol
My son lost drive whilst doing 50 MPH. I initially the engine would not restart but once it did it would not pull away, is this likely to be the same issue you are presenting here?
worth a look at the belt and variator system, then have a look at the plug and spark like in my other videos if it's starting also maybe give the carb a clean as in my carb videoif all ok then check piston and make sure your using a good 2t oil I have a lot of videos on these and all should help mark
with that brief info, when did you last service the bike, clean carb, change plug, clean or change air filter, check fuel pipe all this as in my videos bud thanks for watching please like share and sub mark
Hey mark on the Aerox there is a thin washer but you need to keep that one as it for the variactor plate back sits inside it . Yes the big ring that the belt sits on known as restrictor throw away makes it faster but can you confirm I'm sure the thin washer on Aerox needs to stay there let me know cheers buddy good videos
hi that's right if theres one on the other side you can keep that one, on speedfight's you only have one and that's to slow you down but on aerox's you I've seen two before and sometimes you can move it behind but I've always thrown them away . best see what it runs like and make your own mind you bud , and thanks for watching
Hayup mark mate. Just wanting to know, where do you buy your, variators, rollers and the thick bolt, from. I need a good trust worthy dealer. To get them from,, cheers pal.
on a side note, the bolts i have on my whole belt/transmission cover are all different. some are normal, some are allen key bolts. and only about half of them still bite, i mean only about 4 of them i can get tight. the rest just spin. any fix for this, without tapping new threads or changing the back cover, i dont fancy that job.
Get a hellicoil kit from e bay is the right way or use raw plugs with wood screws it does the same job just cheap just make sure they are the right size and there be fine , it's a real common problem , mark
it seems to be coming more from the front right side of the engine, I'm starting to think the water pump maybe the culprit, sounds quite loud and I'm pretty sure it should be fairly quiet! you had any probs with them?
Yes and yes I have it maybe the water pump but also can be the engine bearings as the go on the lc ones not that hard to change again done a few videos ofdoing them and on a lc model cheap to do just time but need to replace all gaskets bud
as in my speedfight 3 videos and I do have a few on here, they don't like me and I don't like them lol a lot of work on them are the same as sp2's so these will help start with a good old service, plug ,air filter and carb clean, next as in this video rollers and clean variator change the rollers to 6g and check belt while your there other than that piston wear but 1st do the other things before worrier about that lol as for easy just watch my videos on it a few time and use for reference and I'm sure your be fine bud ] mark
Hi Mark I have been told that when you remove the variator restricter ring on some models eg Yamaha neo Giggle c3 you need to put it behind the variator back plate that holds the rollers in to stop premature belt wear and also to stop the variator front plate from sticking on the shaft and damaging the splines.Could this be the reason the washer was found there on this video. Love your videos and they have been a great help to me
Adrian Jordan on other moped yes like the aerox and DNA’s this is true As for the speedfight it is a restrictor and can be just taken off I have a few other videos that explain it better Thanks for you comment and for watching bud Top man Mark
the speedfight carb has an anti tamper mix screw on it, however if it's be removed always go for 3 half turns out like in my carb videos and work you way out half turns from there. sometimes taking the link pipe from the carb off helps . hope that helps please like share and subscribe . mark
hi mark, ive just passed my cbt test and have got a speedfight 3. ive just recently rid it up my road and then all of a sudden it just cut out on me. i keep trying and it wont let me pull away from now on, i was wondering if you could tell what i can do to be able to fix or tell me what the problems are with the bike and why it does it? thanks
I have a few other videos on the basic checks and carb spark plug cleaning and tests have a look at them and there are a few on sp3's but I don't l don't like working on them as your find out lol take a look and let me know how u get on after try them , and please like and subscribe . Thanks mark
at 3:05 in this video when you remove the Vairyator i noticed 2 things. 1 my washer was in the same place lol 2 my Vairyator had a back cover, i had to remove 3 small bolts to get the back off, it also had a thin rubber ring?
That's a original Speedfight variator , most people leave off that thin plate with the 3 screws in as you don't need it and it's less weight lol , if you buy a sports one they don't come with that cover , I think in one of my early videos I talk about it or show one , mark
hi mark seen a few of you videos question for you I have speedfight 100 been running good then today as I was sitting at traffic light my ped died started fine ride fine got me home fine as I stopped in drive let go of throttle to inspect everything it died any ideas how to sort this cheers
when did you last service it ?. plug , airfilter maybe clean carb all should help bud, I have videos on all of them, hope they help please like the ones that do , mark
does it start back up again after a few mins , sounds like it could be carb /fuel problems id take off carb and clean it and check fuel lines , change or clean plug and air filter and see how it goes test vacuum like in my videos otherwise its electrical
Hi mark, changed my rollers and clutch springs tonight. was recommended 3.5g rollers medium strength clutch springs and a 68 jet from ped parts uk to work with my stage 6 pro rep exhaust on my yamaha aerox. i installed everything they recommended me to get, but my bike still takes ages to pull away, it still doesn't kick the power in properly untill it gets to 32mph which is when its starts to rev, anything you could suggest ?
3.5 roller wow thats light! so ok you have a sport exhaust, race air filter 68 jet, new belt and clutch , variator and 3.5g roller, have you tuned the carb too like in my videos 3.5g rollers you should pull away like a bat out of hell but no top end so odd go back to the carb and de jet it down in 4s and tune and see how it goes thanks for watching bud
like in my video bud up jetting is not always the answer and can cause problems like you are having watch a few of my other videos bud they should help, sit on the computer as you will see loads of them mark
My Speedfight does pull away it runs great, gets to 32 and rides great for 10-20 mins then starts to splutter, when I pull over it won't pull away but I turn it off and back on and it runs great again...
check out my other videos they might help, what 2t oil are you using, when did you last service it , plug, air filter, clean carb , hope that help please like share and subscribe , there's over 50 bud well worth a watch. mark
Last owner changed oil in 2012 and it's been sat not running ever since, probably should change that.... I used one from a garage that I got can't remember the name.
I have now watched most if not all your videos on the speedfight and got to say I’m impressed with detail on how to get the job done properly, I have taken out my old rollers to find them with flat spots but how do you know which ones to replace them with ?
e bay and look for 6g , I used to combi them but found 36g in total was a happy place lol with 70 speedfight videos and another channel with all them on a play list theres a few more to watch lol thanks for watching bud and for the comment

I have a video on what 2 t oil to use and a lot cheap ones can damage your bike I use Halfords 2 t oil £10 its fine i'd have a look at your spark plug make sure the ht lead in on, give the air filter a look at too before worrying about poss damage piston thanks for watching maybe check out my other videos and please like share and subscribe mark
hi mate got a Peugeot speedfight 2 100cc which seized after buying it of someone put new head and piston on its got technigas exhaust cone air filter changed the jet to 92 and needle clip on top notch and running perfect but done plug chop and plug was white so up jetted to 95 plug was bit better still tiny bit of white on it but now it's running crap and won't pull away not until about 10 mph then it's fine if I move needle clip down each notch it just gets worse and worse its got a new belt and new 8g rollers any ideas? thank you

Hi Mark, I looked at the Hynes manual for my 500cc Kisbee. I can see I have a speed limiter inside the clutch casing. Is there anything I can do with this to make the bike faster? Thanks
its 4t and yes restricted with a few things, roller/ VARIATOR . carb and jet, and cdi / exhaust so a bit hard to get it to go faster you can change the exhaust which will help a little, i'd ride it as is as it will last longer, maybe sell it and get a 2t moped like in my videos please like share and sub and watch my other videos for help and tuning videos mark
The Emotional Alchemist like in my videos bud use both hand and pull the clutch open while pushing the belt in a little it should go back fine Really it should be that tight or hand to get back on ! Mark
Hi mark - thanks for the clip. I followed the 4 things and it ended up being the piston- the gaskets were worn. Poor compression. Bike runs ok now. Question - the auto choke has green and yellow wires the are reversed when plugged into connector. Is it necessary to swap them over in the connector to make the choke work properly. Have very poor idle - I wonder if this the problem. Thanks
it's good to hear that my videos have helped I have swapped them in the past but if it works ok as in my auto choke video in which I found out that once power goes to the auto chock it slowly comes out then it works fine.can you play with the air petrol mix? if not maybe just up the idle !hope that helps please like share and subscribe mark
mark savage hi mark- this bike is doing my head in. I couldn't dial in the new carb to increase the idle. Bike was running with the throttle open then it died. Now it won't start just turns over. Fuel in the carb, new spark plug that sparks. Could it be the cheap looking carb - I have just bought. It's not a gurtner carb. Could it the starter relay I am stuck now as it was running sweet
it could be a few things the plug is getting wet so will need sorting air filter is letting in water, is it a foam one?, or standard in this cold weather the air mix can mess around so worth looking at the colour of the plug have a look at these mark
Hi mark, If the variator has marks from rollers that where wrecked would you think I would need to replace the variator? Iv 5.6 g weights and its struggling to take off but top end is 60mph and is grand after taking off at a set of lights after about 15mph. It just takes ages to do the first 15 mph. All the restrictors are off the bike. Its the 2006 pug speedfight wrc 50 LC
does sound like you variator is damaged, 5.6g is a good weight as I used to use 6g and for good pull away and top end you will need to take it off and if you cant clean it up so the roller are free to more around replace it I have load of videos to help over 70 on speedfights give them a watch bud also check belt and clutch as in my videos mark
@@marksavage grand I think Ill splash out on a new variator, its spotless cleaned with a clean rag nothing else, but there is marks where the rollers go on the side walls of the variator casing(damaged worn down) i think the rollers may be getting trapped on these spots, Iv followed all the videos the way you have done it. I replaced the belt and taken off the glazing on the clutch and clutch casing. Thank you for coming back to me on that. It be great if you where in ireland id be sending my bike to you 👌👍 great videos mate.
Hi Mark and again great job, one question ,which exhaust on SF2 is the best for 50cc-70cc??? I have technigas NEXTR do i change or not ,and what is your opinion for Giannelli Extra please help. Or which one is the best exhaust for speedfight 2???
Vlado Stankovic thanks bud for the like and as far as exhaust they are all the same really bud all are better than the standard from Leo Vince to stage 6 just comes down to price and the name you want , it's the carb jet air filter and rollers that will give you more speed once you have changed the exhaust , I still say stick to a 50cc as the 70cc don't last long and never really run right or get much more speed , hope that helps bud , mark

Hi mark. I’ve got a Peugeot zenith 50cc 1999 won’t pull away does try but just not enough. I’ve done a compression test and it was 53 psi which I thinks pretty low. If it’s my clutch what am I looking for if it’s bad? I’ve checked the rollers no flat spots, but was greasy but if cleaned it.. I’m at a loose end
Yeah cleaned carb seems to be all good. New belt and plug in it and cdi unit.. and I’ve been using premium fuel that’s e5 I only ever use the best fuels.. my last thing to do is change piston and clutch
I like in my videos always use 6g Washer out Small upjet 60 like in my videos And a tune if not capped like in my tuning video New plus Race inbox air filter
hiya mark, love your videos, very helpful. I have the speedfight 2 like in this vid, having some major headaches with it! I know the transmission has had seal and bearings replaced but I'm still getting a really loud metallic whining from it, like really loud, and quite a bit of vibration!? Wondered if you had any thoughts. And also just for ruling out any mistakes where do the 2 washers actually go inside the gearbox?? thanks in advance and keep doing what your doing, wish you lived near me!! :)
Hi Thanks for watching them it's good to hear they help , I have done a video on The gear box and taking it apart and you will see the washer this is why in the video I changed the insides but I have had issues with the cover plate before as well if you have all ready watched it and replaced all the bits which it can only really be not sure unless the main drive is bent? Or wheel ? , hope that helps mark
Hi mate I have the 50cc speedfight which recently has just had a new barrel and piston, now I have the problem off it bogging on throttle. As I know you like to repair these bike I was just wondering if you wanted to buy it for like £150 it starts and ticks over just the bogging.
I have a video on the fmr give that a watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FKwRpZOOpEw.html&feature=share As for the vents yes they get hot so need to vent the heat I have many other videos well worth a watch
