SPEEDLINE OVER HOUSE, Drone, Chainsaws = Super fun Cedar tree removal

This was a super fun Western red Cedar tree removal job. We set up a speed line to rig down all the branches over the house to save energy and time. We then blocked down the upper two thirds of the main trunk, and finally felled the bottom 25-30 foot of main trunk.
This job ran super smoothly with great, clear communication, understanding of the job and a great rigging setup.
We are stoked to have captured this entire job using a drone and 4 GoPro cameras.

@@ClimbingArborist would it make a precautionary vid Dan? Wasn't aware you'd been bitten, get well quick dude...👊
@michaelremski8295
@michaelremski8295 4 года назад
@@turtlezed I'm not speaking for Climbing Aborist, but my wife was bitten and diagnosed about 30yrs ago when they knew even less. Precautions are check for ticks everyday, any weird rashes (the typical bullseye doesn't always happen), if you start to feel sluggish, brain not working right, or a sore joint that comes and goes or moves (like your left ankle is sore, then goes away, then right knee) get tested. The earlier you catch it, the better off you are. Treatment is just antibiotics (usually doxycyclin) but make sure you take the full course and if the Doc is smart, it will be longer than the CDC (in the US) recommends. The little buggers are hard to kill, vulnerable for a short time in their lifecycle. Even after treatment you can have symptoms for a long time, usually you just feel sluggish/slow. Common sense for anyone in the industry would probably be get tested once a year. Symptoms start to show up a couple weeks after getting bitten, most first tests are inconclusive so you can go a month or two before testing positive. Smart docs will start treatment on a "possible" instead of waiting for a positive. It's not a fun thing to catch: if treated early and strongly, you minimize any after effects, if you ignore it, you can have severe problems. @Climbing Arborist: take care of yourself, don't over do it. Sorry if this was long and sounding "know it all".

Great video and great job 👍 noticed you stacked the firewood with the wood to the ground on the big rounds. If firewood is going to sit for any period of time it should be stacked bark to the ground. When stacked wood to ground they act like a sponge and constantly draw moisture from the ground.

Appreciate your comment, I’m not a huge fan of just music on tree videos, I like to try and tell a story with the communication of the team.
