It is really nice to see a pro-painter such as yourself advocate for the SpeedPaints and showcase them in detail - it is really inspiring for newbies to pick them up and give them a try. Even though I may never reach your level of detail, it would still make my boardgame miniatures stand out so me and my friends can enjoy them more - that's my goal. Really appreciate the video Don!

I use speedpaints as washes a lot thanks to your advice. It really makes a big difference in depth, and it can also help hide spotting when using speedpaints on smooth surfaces.

That make sense with the varnish over primed miniature. It's a form of a basecoat for a Speedpaint basecoat. Awesome painting!

Hey Love the Speedpaint videos and the combination of Fanatic paints as highlights. Any chance you could build a correlation video or pdf Speedpaints to which Fanatic triad it would be connected to. That my biggest issue in finding the combination mixes.

Love to see another speedpaint video! Do you mix speedpaint medium into the paints when base coating or straight from the pot? Do you always go 2 layers?

Straight from the pot for the base coating. Always two layers. Second layer mostly only on shadow areas. Sometimes I mix a small amount of medium for the second layer. 😊

Hey! Super instructive video thanks ! I have the big Fanatic paints (50 paints) and I wanted to buy a pack of speed paint (I already used the 1.0 version but I didn’t have it anymore) which one of the 24 speed paint pack or 10 speed paint pack I should buy? Thanks!
