In this video, I have started a new series called Minecraft Odd Run Out. This is the fourth rendition of it, featuring my friends Couriway + Feinberg + Illumina participating in this Minecraft challenge. I also gathered leaderboard moderators to try and find the cheated run, hopefully I won't get banned. Can I fool them with a fake speedrun world record? Or will they find the cheater?

As the runner of the first run it was definitely cool to see my several month old trash PB get watched back wondering what the heck I was doing. Everyone loves getting trash blind times with 50 block blinds. ALSO ILLUMINA THAT WAS AN AMAZING PLAY IN THE BRIDGE BASTION

love this series!! would love to see something where you get one of the guessers to secretly run the fake run and try to persuade the others that their run isn’t faked- might be cool :)

Ooh, what if you like get 4 ppl and each does a run and then tries to make the other players think their run was faked. If you guess someones run right you get a point and if someone guesses wrong on your run you get a point

@@Dan_Hess there's been some cheated runs in the past where the runner who typically has no mic will shake their screen to show excitement and it's become a meme where if you see that in any runs then it could be fake

@DarkCoreX i've never seen anyone doing it in a real run. They do it to show that they see a structure and this is 100% not fake, while legit runners don't usually care about it

Is it a coincedence that all the sprites for the speedrunner team each have a type of clock (hourglass for Illumina, digital clock for Couriway, and standerd clock for Feinberg) and all the moderators had a sword?

In speed runs you spawn in a randome world everytime the faked run was played in a prepared seed where they already knew where everything was instead of going in full blind

I think having all three people on a team there together can really influence each other's opinion. BUT they make for great banter and actually talk a lot more rather than taking it too seriously, so this format is WAY better :)

What are the differences between the real runs and the fake run, other than the fake run was done by you?

Real runs are in a random generated world with normal spawn rates (so you have to do things on the fly while completely blind) while faked runs are done in a pregenerated world that the fake runners as already played before and already knows where everything is. Also the fake runs can have better spawn rates (ender pearls, blaze rods, chest loot)

The second runner has a Ryzen 5 4600H in his laptop... if there's a graphics card they're not using it and are instead using integrated graphics, which is a common issue with Minecraft on laptops without a MUX... if he has a GPU and isn't using it due to lack of knowledge *that hurts!*

Another great video! I guessed #3 correctly, just based off the fact I thought the stronghold of the first run was meant to make it seem more suspicious and the panic in the 3rd run seemed over exaggerated.

single refers to the number of chests in a specific part of the bastion. bridge bastions can be double single (crap), double triple (meaning there's a triple chest room on both sides of the bastion), right-side triple or left-side triple

I've watched two of these, and I'm already seing a pattern. One run where it looks like the guy just... doesn't really know what they're doing, happens to be quite lucky, and the run almost seems too bad to be faked. One where the guy plays fairly well, does things that make sense, and just seems fairly average. One run where the guy has fairly good mechanics but makes a number of decisions that don't really make sense but end up being right.

imagine you get three real speedruns but you have a timer on the screen that goes faster as the time shown for the video (like video timer says 1:23 but actual video is 1:20, meaning they sped up the video footage and that's the only thing wrong with the actual "fake" video)

When I heard them talking about run 1 being sus, I was like, nahhh he wouldn't put the fake run first, then I saw run 3 and I was like, yep he didn't lol. Wait they got it wrong... I guess it makes sense, run 1 was kinda weird and they had more time to think about run 1 than 3, and probably just kept on thinking about run 1 during run 2, meanwhile I had less time and actually just discarded run 1 pretty quickly as I saw run 3. If you made one of whit the 1st and 3rd run switched I bet all 6 would've voted the faked run.

I was like, as in speedrun related stuff run 1 was clearly sussier, but run 3 man, it was so weird, but I was like, he is just bad or something dunno, then I thought it might be you precisely acting this weird, I was indecisive but I ended thinking run 1 because it overall looked sussier as in speedrun related, but you actually faked run 3 and it just made so much sense I regret not choosing it, those weird gold crafting and bed explosion in the nether man

this is pretty easy as the 1st one is livesplit run and doesnt have sodium, making it a really old run, very unlikely that nerdi would do that 2nd run has the atum resetting for random seed and the 3rd one doesnt have anything there
