The game is actually always supposed to give you an emerald piece on Pumpkin Hill or Egg Quarters that requires the drill. They basically built in a way to make sure people wouldn't softlock themselves like Cade suggested.

The reason why there are so many Eggman levels back to back is because this game was only going to have 3 Playable characters. Sonic, Knuckles, and Eggman. People wanted characters like Tails to be playable so that's why all characters are Copy's of their Hero's counterpart.

"May the best bat with jiggle physics win." Question is, is he talking about Rouge's chest, ears or both? Those ears go for days.

I think "Jokers" would be a great audience name since jokers are typically the wild card in a lot of card games, but I also think not having one at all would be fine.

The safes in Security Hall is the gimmick of the level, not a bug. Not all the safes can be opened, so you go to the top of the level to activate switches which allows you to open the safes you couldn't open before.

WOAH BIG THE CAT IS SO BIG CRAZY THAT HE MADE AN APPEARANCE

For those who don't know, in the levels where you get the drill upgrade (Pumpkin Hill and Egg Quarters), there's always at least one Emerald Shard either in the ground or in the wall, preventing the player from completing the level without picking up the upgrade first, acting as a fail-safe to not let players get stuck in future levels.

All five of Tails' stages happen in between Eggman's fourth and fifth.

The levels that have the digging powerups are impossible to beat without picking up the upgrade

For the Faux Chaos Control debate in the latter half: I think it's more of a Tails feat. Because who's to say no one else could use Chaos Control if given the opportunity? Tails, Amy-hell even Eggman could probably do it. I wouldn't think an ability with the word "Chaos" in it would have favorites, just because certain hedgehogs are the main characters, y'know what I mean? (Plus, in a Q&A event, Shadow describes using Chaos Control as "Hold emerald, shout 'Chaos Control', go fast." so I don't think it's that hard to do.) I think it's more impressive Tails made a Faux Chaos Emerald, that was good enough to even merit that ability being used.

Now you guys need a tie breaker of racing thru both stories in one go
