I know I'm late to this party but I've just got into airsoft and been finding a lot of these old vids. If you want a red dot, look into Vortex. Yes they are a bit expensive, $200ish, but they have a lifetime no questions asked warranty. So if it get busted in any way you can just send it in for repairs.
Hey e house and Andre. Could y'all do a "how to speed soft" topic? Both of your perspectives on the subject and have Andre give the basics for someone trying to transition into airsoft?
eh, I disagree. I put one on my cz p09, slide mounted and it works great. Using a tornado holster. I used an m&P9 rdr mount, filed it down to fit, threw a fire field reflex rmr microdot on it and works like a charm. total cost $40.00. I play a sniper role so I use my secondary quite a bit. So budget optics are not all trash. But i did have the same consideration originally. As for holsters, I also work with kydex. Its not rocket science make your own. Ive made 2 drop leg rigs thus far as well mag holsters.
What do you guys think about slide mounting vs getting a mount that attaches to a grip and slide release for putting a see all open sight onto a hi capa running on green gas?
What about holding zero? I was thinking about putting a RMR replica in an Cybergun / VFC FNX 45 and i have some doubts about it holding zero after recoil.
Laser should be banned if you are not allowed to blind airplane pilots then it should not be allowed in airsoft either. Scope is functional for real firearms but the distances in airsoft is so close quarters one has there is no Time to AIM. A sight might be ok
First off, blinding an airplane pilot is much worse than a regular person on foot. Plus I don't see anyone using a laser sight to actually blind people because that's what a good flashlight will do. Secondly, not all airsoft distances are that close. Even in a CQB arena there are places where you have time and distance to aim with a 2x scope. But as you said, a regular red dot sight is probably better for most distances for a pistol.
4:22 I feel like you guys are saying cycle rate really strangely.. im from Illinois and live in michgan so maybe its me lol Sounds like "sick-ler" rate rather than psy-kurl" rate. But then again I say buy-sick-url in stead of buy-psy-kurl lol. Super strange. Plus I'd also say "im on route 23 on-root to your position" instead out route and route lol
First thank you all for replying I think I wouldn't bother with it then, I was thinking about using it when I'm running around and when I couldn't afford to aim down sights as a point of reference. But I think I would be better off practicing to shoot without ads more.
In my opinion, red dots for pistols make no sense. Maybe if someone runs it as a primary. But even with a rifle, i wouldn't really use it without a magnifier.
TFR airsoft is for everybody just because they don’t have the most expensive gear still means they can play you making people not want to start the sport
