The trigger finger discipline strong with this one....lol....it was bound and on the whole time, my man didn't even pull it once.....lol.....I would have sent that Rc into Narnia...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great comprehensive overview of the DX5C radio. It took my awhile to figure out inh = off! So frustrating. I bound my infraction to my DX5R as soon as I got it, Much better over stock. Great video!
Thank you for this video one thing I did notice that I would like to mention because it will probably help it sometimes the AVC will not kick in until you drive the car a couple inches and then when you pick it up the AVC will be active
Hope this is exactly what my issue is. I’m just not doing it right. So so so many people are having problems with this reciever could it just be user error
Thank you for the comprehensive video. I have an issue with mine I cannot seem to fix. With AVC inhibited, as well as mixing, I'm getting steering mix with my throttle input. Forward adds some right steering, and reverse adds left steering. You can see both the values move on the mixing screen, I've cleared out the model, re-binded, cannot get this to stop. Receiver is the 6000. Any suggestions?
Hey netcruiser so when you 1st bind dx5c to infraction all EPA’s are set to 100 so what if we then up them to 150 that the remote CAN do well the throttle for sure and then calibrate which I guess would not be the same as 1st binding the dx5c and then just upping the throttle epa to 150 surely the esc did not compensate for the extra 50 that was not calibrated afterwards sooo would we see two different reactions from calibration and upping to 150 against calibration, upping the EPA’s to 150 and then recalibrate if you follow Thanks for the time to read and your time to show Net’C😎
@@Bornindafire I used rates to assign switch C to throttle limit. Works OK but you have to be holding the throttle to see the rate so the car needs to be off. I ran into a strange issue when Iswapped out batteries but left the transmitter on I had major stearing issues which I think was from the AVC system but unsure. impressive transmitter but has major issues and Spektrum won't reply to me.
Sometimes, but the thing I don't like about AVC is it uses a throttle cut on base RTR radios, you NEED a DX5C or above to make it steering only AVC (like Traxxas TSM)
Great video. Roll out seems to be the tricky part on the speed/rpm. I put all new smart tech in my Kraton, just to see what it’s all about. The roll out has me stuck. Smart DX5C is a great radio. 6100 receiver no bind plug, triple click when binding turn off AVC. Thanks for posting. Keep up the good work. 👍
Great Video. I just picked up the same Transmitter. I cant get the throttle and steering set up right after binding. I hit throttle immediately and it just Runs and wants to take off. Do I need to do something different? Could it be im running an SR315 as the receiver? Any comments appreciated.
I thank I had to pull the trigger to set it an then it stopped an was calibrated..I had trouble also, my Speed Rock Truck Flew Off The Table (4 ft jump to the floor) an it spooked me..Had to regroup an do it a few times cause I couldn't get reverse..I got it set now..Awsome Transmitter an still Learning Aswel..Happy Hobbying..!!..💪🤘🙏🇺🇲
How do I change my buttons to be something else? I wanted E to be throttle and F to be brake but it keeps changing it back to something else on the main screen.
You go through this waaay too fast for an inexperienced hobbyist and when you're making choices like the AVC you're not showing what button you're hitting. Sounds like you're in a rush to do it in a time frame instead of relaxed.
Bummer. Looks the same on my DX5 pro, but I want it on the knob, and there doesn't seem to be a provision for that. Only offers up C and D, like yours.
i got a DX5 R and honestly it sucks in fact it sucks so bad i sent it back my old ass sanwa from 10 years ago beats it in all aspects in fact my cheap ass flysky is better for crawling and you can buy 6 flysky setups for the price of 1 DX5R
Hey im looking to buy this radio, on my current radio i have some problems. When i drive sometimes if i want to brake it keeps on driving i think its the radio and this problem has almost destroyed my rc car twice, so yea. And i have another radio for another rc car and with my other transmitter i have really short range. So does it have decent range ? And does it keep on driving when i brake or do other weird stuff ? I really want a good radio that doesnt do weird stuff or have short range.
@@STEVOD313 Ah yes you can remove it immediately after binding. For your Kraton 8S it's same process but you will have Smart telemetry, it'll detect that automatically but you have to turn on what you want to see as I showed in the Telemetry menu. No telemetry on Infraction, Kraton 8S has telemetry.
Hey, Great video. I own an Infraction and was wanting to upgrade the radio. Since the truck is pretty fast out of the box, would the DX5 pro be a better choice than the DX5C ?
Hi there. I recently purchased the dx5c. After binding I have no throttle nor brakes. Running a hobbywing esc. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks for the great video
Great video ! Thanks . I am struggling calibrating the radio after binding. How am I supposed to do exactly for a proper calibration ? After each action, am I supposed to wait a reveiver signal prior proceeding to the next action ?
Im also wondering a few things too. I don’t think the comments section is the best place tho. Very tricky world the RC one is when your a newbie like me
Range is going to be more dependent on the receiver you choose. Ones with wired antennas will have longer range. But everything should reach 200m. I just got a radiolink RC6GS v2 with 600m (2000ft) range if you are most concerned about distance. The R7GS receiver has two antenna.
Yes.. you can switch channels from normal to reverse at any time after binding. Then reset trim to center and check endpoints as those might have changed. AVC automatic endpoints are a bit weird, I'd still check steering endpoint is set to mechanical limit for that direction for the car linkages.. to avoid stress on the servo and the RC.
@@netcruzer Unfortunately I didn't set up my fail safe and I had my Felony run away from me today when my DX5 RUGGED batteries died. Rookie mistake. I was able to catch it since the steering was locked to one side, but it took a piece off my skin from my center knuckle.
I say NO for racing because it’s 11ms DSMR response time is no better than your average RTR radio. The Sanwa MT4 is around 4ms. That’s why it’s superior for racing. Spektrum has a 5.5ms DSMR rate but they require DX5 Pro and Pro series receivers. Not worth it. Also.. I saw and tried the new FlySky Noble and that radio is awesome and fast. Likely cheapest race setup you can get with fast response and excellent features.
