The fact that Spencer didn’t even consider his list of how to take care of Carly as being responsible and just saw it as the bare minimum that wasn’t a big enough deal to prove his responsibility speaks volumes towards the kind of person he is
The fact that Spencer indirectly proved to his grandad that he can take care of Carly will always stand out to be one of my favorite moments of Spencer 😂
Literally Spencer may be chaotic and a human firestarter, but he's more responsible than many parents I've run into in real life so clearly Carly needed him.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. As a fellow artist, it’s so cool Spencer recognizes that level of urgency, especially with her little sister
The inhaler part always stuck with me even as a kid. When this episode aired I was 7 years old and my asthma was very bad. So I had to take my inhaler everywhere I went. I'm 23 now, my asthma is under much better control, but I always keep my inhaler just in case I need it. Like Spencer said, even though Carly hadn't had an asthma attack in years, you never know.
I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 3 years old, and my asthma was bad when I was a kid. I used to have a lot of problems with asthma. I’m 22 years old now (I actually turned 22 today) and my asthma for the most part is under control, but I still have attacks every now and then even in my early 20s, so like Spencer said about asthma, you never know. That’s why I still keep my inhaler with me everywhere I go.
Litterly the same thing I was I believe 8 years old when I watched this episode also I had asthma bad cause of the flowers and the dust now I'm 24 and hasn't had one since so when I seen this now that I'm older I am happy about Specer not forgetting her inhaler but he was a great dad to her when his dad likes it or not
My sister had terrible asthma as a kid. Everyone thought she had grown out of it for a while back (it had been about 8 years since she had an attack). I always made sure to remind them that it could come back though. Recently, it HAS come back. We're lucky we still had the stuff for it.
A list of everything he needed to know about taking care of her And then follows it up with her inhaler, just in case she needed it, because even if she never needed it again, it’s not a risk he’s willing to take
My favorite part is the tone Spencer responds with to why he kept the inhaler, he's almost offended he has to explain to their grandfather it's for emergencies. He may be a goof ball and a child at heart, but when it comes to taking care of Carly, he never messed around.
No bc this episode had me absolutely ruined when I first saw it. You can tell Spencer is upset and wishes there was something he could do to convince their grandpa to let her stay, but he didn’t let those emotions get in the way of helping set his grandpa up for success when it came to taking care of her. That was still the priority.
Low key Spencer might of been a bit on the oddball chaotic side but when it was time to Man Up and raise his sister, he did so with style. iCarly wouldn't be the same without out lovable Bunny Ears Lawyer ❤
4:25 This guy is soooo relatable 😂😂 at my jobs. Whenever I mop, it'll be dead for hours but then you start mopping and there comes the crowd. It's almost like they were waiting on you.
Spencer was a lot older so it made sense. It would be weird if drake and josh had a fatherly relationship with megan considering they were only 6/7 yrs apart.
it was for his own peace of mind more than her own benefit. He worries about her and having her inhaler there (even if it expired) gave him, again, peace of mind. That's why he was adamant for his grandfather to take it.
4:12 “Hello? No, Freddy’s not here, Mrs. Benson. I don’t know when I grew leg hair! I gotta go!” The way he delivered that dialogue always gets me!😂😂😂😂
When I was a kid, I used an inhaler for... maybe a month? Just to get medicine in my system. Years later, I still found it in the upper part of a cabinet. My mom had held on to it. Just in case. This scene always reminded me of that.
This reminds me of my older brother , he would be so mean to me and tease me but when I told him someone pushed me on the bus he came to pick me up with our big ole dog with a spike collar on and in his full cholo gear 😂
Where did they pull Yakima from as the destination? I mean of all the random eastern WA cities...i mean i guys it makes sense with it being in Seattle, but still feels really random.
I can never under why they expected to feel sad about Carly moving and happy when it’s decided she would stay. This was the fifth episode of the first season. Why would the main character leave the spot light so soon only in the fifth episode? I can’t believe people who stupidly overjoyed about Carly staying after all when it is obvious that she would be going no where. She’s the main character so of course as the main character she would win and stay.
I think it’s because at the time, the show was still like you mentioned in its infancy. They probably had no idea if it would flop after the first season so they probably made every storyline they wanted to try and attract viewers and see if they really liked Icarly. Hence this episodes existence. I feel like this episode is something of it’s time when you think of it that way. But you’re right it was really early in the season they did this with almost little to no stakes at all, just chicken stir fry lol.
@@Joeru510 infancy? I was 13 when the show aired. The idea of the Carly leaving and being surprised she was staying was no surprise to me then because she’s the main character and the show was just recent. I thought that then and I still think that now.
