Saints struck gold when they got Rattler. That's a QB who knows he's better than anyone else on the roster. He'll keep proving it on the field. That guy plays with a chip on his shoulder and it shows. Confidence and talent. He got it!
I want to see Rattler start against first stringers. Game started like any other game last year with Carr being trash and lack of communication. Rattler comes in and just has the it factor.

SC fan so happy to see rattler perform in the NFL. The Saints are my second fav team next to the seahawks can't wait to riot for him and the saints whenever the Hawks ain't playing!
I have been watching Rattler throughout his college career. He has the tools to be special in the NFL. If he gets the right coaching and he gets the chance, he could be a huge steal. I just hope he gets a chance to show it.

@cstep100 passed up Lamar Jackson for a bum d tackle out of San Antonio also. The Mahommes situation was out of the Saints hands, the Lamar situation was in their hands and they made a move that's going to hurt them for decades. He was there ready for the Saints and they said no let's get this anime watching, injury prone,awkward interviews,half of season playing a×s weirdo 🙄 out of San Antonio.
Still not sold on the kid but I like his potential. Followed him since high school. Thought he was going to be another Manzel but he’s shown a lot of growth. I hope in a couple years he gets some great work and become a starter

I'd be okay with the Saints cutting Carr after a mediocre season, developing Rattler (or Haener), and using the money saved on upgraded receivers who will boost the success of the QB, strengthening the defense so it can put the ball back into the hands of the QB, and making the Offensive Line fearsome and so protect the QB. And if the QB succeeds before the fifth year .... trade him for a high draft pick and do it again. Rookie contracts are economical ... and there are only 5 active QBs with Super Bowl wins ... the backups Wilson and Flacco, an aging Rodgers, a Stafford who reached his peak, and Mahomes. Only Mahomes has multiple Super Bowl victories. Quarterbacks are good for one Super Bowl ... usually. Rodgers. Favre. Brees. Marino and Kelly had zero. Don't spend 30% of your salary cap on a QB who probably won't win more than one Super Bowl ... if they even get the one. If you find a Mahomes, a Brady, a Montana, pay them. Don't overpay for a Phillips, a Prescott, a Palmer, or a Mayfield.
Start Rattler, you may have a chance this season. Watched this kid play in high school on a Netflix special then watched him a little bit in college. Carr is washed up, it’s a reason why the raiders got rid of him
