I like the idea that TFC sometimes takes a break from his work to listen to whatever petty beef the engines have with each other outside his office and only intervenes when it starts getting out of hand.
I love the explanation that Victor doesn’t allow Spencer at the works because he takes up space and TFC trolling Spencer, that actually got me for a bit. Plus Spencer with a four-wheeler tender is both funny and cursed
It feels so right to have Gordon & Spencer converse after so many years, its great to see you haven’t lost your touch with Spencer after all this time!
Spencer: “I just can’t bear to live with the four wheeler!” The Duke: “Okay, in that case, seeing as we are having financial issues, we’ll just sell for scrap and get an 0-4-0 to be our private engine.” Spencer: “I’m sorry what?” And that is how Lady became the private engine of the Duke and Duchess
God I remember cactus19076 did a story about Spencer's corridor tender before but seeing a bit of banter in a one-shot as simple as this is so fun especially with how you captured the uppity voice of Spencer.
Heh, I had Wheatley Y10s on my mind lately. And despite the corridor shape on Spencer's model, CGI express coaches don't even have aisles or brake pipes.
This story made me realize that Corridor tenders have *4* wheels and not *3* . I had the wooden Flying Scotsman as a kid, which had the three-axle tenders, so I just thought Corridor tenders had six wheels like a fowler tender. lol
Greetings MasterOfTheLemons sir! Can I ask what exactly was Diesel’s full plan in Webb Of Lies with the mail train and “The Revolution” mentioned by his driver?
Oh he did it again! Spoiled brat, you know the only reason you ever got your wheels was because of that engine with the Fowler Tender?! I doubt Mallard is so insecure and Scott sure as Stephenson isn't. He probably was happy to be given a single Tender again. Fine work as always Lemons.
Spencer’s a showboat over practically nothing. Having 2 more wheels is, in my opinion anyway, such a stupid thing to think you’re better that’s another engine over. Narcissist.
