cuz he is? Just by the fact that akaza said that base gyuu without mark is the strongest person he faced in 50 years already makes gyuu above rengoku. Also the fact that akaza got serious at very moment he saw gyuu presence, something that rengoku never made akaza get serious (akaza only got serious when the sunlight was coming). Im not even going to show feats but just statements are enough Base gyuu without mark >>> rengoku

Yah cus I order for the slayers to use the mark they need a sun breather that unlocked the mark which then lets the other slayers to unlock their. At the time Tanjiro didn’t unlock his mark so Rengoku couldnt either
