It's memorial day long weekend! I started my weekend off by flying from SF to NY to meet Alex there. We went to flushing for some steamed rice rolls at Joe's Steam Rice Roll and got their special. It was a quick breakfast to start off the trip. After, we took the subway to East Village to meet up with Joel to catch up on life over some lunch at Evil Katsu. It was a little overpriced, but I really enjoyed chatting with Joel about life post-Meta.
Later in the afternoon, we took a ferry to LIC and headed to a picnic in Gantry Plaza State Park to celebrate Lee's graduation! Congratz Lee 🎉🍾 It was the perfect spring day for a picnic and we got to meetup with Alex's college friends. I bumped into @sarahpan and she's so sweet!! I wish I was a little less awkward when I met her, but it's awesome meeting someone who you've only seen on the internet (and have watched/love all their videos) in real life -- thanks for letting me take a video of us together 🥹
Later on this trip, I also met up with my past coworker, NP, over some beer and chicken wings! It was another great catch up, especially because it's been so long since the last time we've met up.
