I seriously started to cry when you said Jameson was perfect after saying your setting him up with a speech therapist. My daughter had a speech delay and didn't really talk until she was 4. She's 7 now and making incredible progress with her speech and she is perfect too! I love seeing you love him just the way he is. You're an amazing dad!
When my brother was his age the doctor thought he was gonna have a speech impediment because he was delayed in speech for his age. He ended up perfectly ok and has no speech impediment. Now he's nine an acts out his favorite movies.

I just have to say how amazingly proud I am that you guys are getting him the support and you saying that he is perfect! There is nothing wrong with needing those therapies and they will absolutely help him 100%! He is an amazing little dude and has some pretty amazing parents! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He is perfect! My oldest MJ is autistic and has ADHD. He didn't start talking until he was 3. One thing that helped him was sign language. It helped him to be able to express his needs while he searched for his voice. We used a DVD called Baby Signing Time. It teaches signs that are modified to be easier for babies and toddlers to use. We used it for all our kids. Even though MJ is the only one that has special needs. Some kids just need more time than others. And it doesn't make them any less perfect.
You're a great dad. letting kids be kids and just watching the cogs turn as they decide what to do and how to do it is so rewarding, and yes he is absolutely perfect!
Most of us have been watching Brandon since he lived in his car and liked Gloria so seeing where he and his family is now. So much happiness. I’m sure autumn is like a little shadow at this point and Jameson will learn the best from her
Jameson, Gloria, and Autumn are so lucky to have you. As a PT, I can confidently say that my OT and ST colleagues do amazing things. He will be talking a mile a minute in no time. Also I can't stop thinking about an epic battle between the crab monkeys and the gopher snakes.
i know it’s impossible to not worry about what other people think, but i’ll say my two cents: you aren’t a bad dad. i love that you’ve switched to 10 hrs/week to spend more time with Jameson. he’s a lucky boy! 💜
Jameson is a little bit older than my triplets we started PT and OT at 11 months it’s amazing how quickly with the proper support my one son went from not rolling to walking. They are almost 20 months now and are going to be evaluated for speech therapy. Once therapy starts for both of our families, it’ll never be quiet again. I can’t wait! Good luck Jameson!!
As a parent to a nonverbal 21 year old awesome man I can say speech and ot are very helpful but yeah your man is perfect the way he is. If the language comes great! If it doesn't then that's ok too. Language isn't just speaking. Communication is in looks, body posture, smiles, tears, silly gestures and fun noises, and so much more. Nonverbal communication can be such an intimate language and we have learned from our guy that the perspective of some one free of burden of being "normal" is amazing. Enjoy the small things. See the way he sees the world and you will find that he is mighty and fearless. No matter where his road leads he will be great as long as you guys keep doing what you already do, love him. Success is truly measured in happiness. He's happy, parenting success :). Anything else is just bonus points. :) Good luck but it sounds like you guys are well already on the right track!
I love it when I see you love your son no matter how he is. I had a speech delay and didn't talk till I was about 5. I had to have speech classes and a therapist. I'm now 14 and most people don't even know. I still have a little trouble, but i'm way better than I used to be. Your just such an amazing person and make everyone happy.
After watching Maria’s video a lot of this clicked into place. I have a 4 year old who’s autistic and it was a hard transition. Seeing the supportive loving parents y’all are being to your sweet baby boy is so encouraging ❤
Jameson reminds me of my 3 year old and 2 year old. They both did a lot of the same things and have speech delays. My 3 year old was diagnosed with autism. And we have got so much help with having his diagnosis. We got him into preK and they have worked with him a lot. His speech is slowly improving. My 2 year old has been in early intervention for 2 months and is making some progress. You got this! #1 dad award here. Getting early help for your boy is the best thing you can do to set him up for success ❤
You are a wonderful father. My 8yo son is also autistic, and he has OT, PT, speech and a psychiatrist. It all helps him so much, and he is always my perfect son. Watching you with Jameson, always makes my smile. You are a wonderful father. Also, I can't tell you how many times I would say "don't do..." And before I finish the sentence, my son would do exactly what I was trying to tell him not to do. 💜🖤💛💟

My brother and I both have autism spectrum disorder and we are completely opposite but the only thing we can agree on is how much we love your stuff. My brother didn’t talk until he was 4 and hasn’t shut up since I hope Jameson speaks soon but if he doesn’t that’s also fine everyone has their own way of going through life and if Jameson doesn’t speak then that doesn’t take away from his worth I am really glad I found your channel

Honestly you are an amazing dad and person from what I’ve seen and heard from this video and others prior. Honestly would’ve loved to grow up with a father who was like you 💜 so don’t ever doubt yourself, even if there’s mistakes you make along the way it’s never the end of the world, it’s just a learning experience. So don’t let others decide what you’re good or bad at 😊

My sons dr recommended speech therapy, he knew basic words and I felt it was cause he just wasn’t around kids his age. He didn’t start really talking till he was 3 and he hasn’t stopped talking since. But your right that was so sweet to say he’s perfect, because he is! 💜🖤💛🤍
