I know many will disagree with my comments but I’ve always thought of Rare Beauty as being quite a wholesome brand. Giving all this to RU-vidrs who have the income to go anywhere or buy anything they want just seems a bit off with their brand in my opinion. Nothing against you Andreea as I’m a huge fan but this seems like bribing people to give good reviews to all of the products. How can anyone say anything negative about a brand when they’ve given you all this! I know this is how RU-vid and influencers work but I would expect RB to not flaunt this to their customers during a cost of living crisis.

@@maggie2234 I’m glad it’s not just me, I thought I’d get hate saying it but it just seems way too over the top. I’d have expected RB to have given this experience to some of their customers and then film it. I think for many people right now, make up is such a luxury given the cost of everything and to have this level of opulence flaunted by a brand just seems a bit tone deaf at the moment. But nothing against Andreea of course.

Just take it with a grain of salt, she gets a lot in PR - that doesn’t mean it’s all bad products, but I make my judgements on my own, I don’t fall for all the praises for the products RU-vidrs advertise, it’s just a nature of the business. I’m just happy Andreea had a chance to travel to New York and was treated nicely, she deserves it

Andreea - I completely understand your feelings regarding "leaving" your son behind... My first weekend away I felt so guilty I maxed out my VISA with "guilt presents" as I like to call them... I can say it gets better in time, but there will always be a part of you "out there" in the world... That you will be constantly missing... But it gets better... New York in December is the best place to visit. I grew up there and I HAD to take my husband to the city in Christmastime so he could see for himself what it’s like. Nothing like it for Christmas! Horrendous place to live though lol! Fantastic place to visit and get my child-like nostalgia on. There are so many places that are so precious to me. And I got to show my husband the beauty that the city takes on during the holidays. ❤

The city has changed so much in the last couple of years, it's hardly recognizable as the fabulous city I've lived in and loved for so long. It's really a pity, and I hope it will one day return to it's former glory. In the meantime, so many people are packing up and moving away in record numbers, as well as businesses who can get better deals in other states - this affects all of us, unfortunately.

14:58 Love the heel detail and composition. They're gorgeous shoes overall, yea. I always dreamed of living in New York too, I went there in the early 90's and stayed for a short while with a friend who lived at West 33rd I think between 6th and 7th. I tried to get work there so I could stay but they'd cracked down on people without green cards at that time (like right when I got there it was happening, before that it was easy, such bad timing) and I had to leave and go back to London as I just plain ran out of cash. The people were friendly, the food was great (and cheap) but I loved the atmosphere the most and all the old buildings. It's a modern city sure enough, but it really does have a sense of the old and historic about it. I wish I could go back there, maybe one day I will.
