I love these women, and Victoria, and have so much respect for them. These women took their careers into their own hands, and with sheer determination and hard work, they launched a world wide movement, changed the music industry forever, and put a fire in our hearts. All the while, maintaining the genuinity of being just the girls next door. They showed us the power of friendship and unconditional love. You can tell these women genuinely love each other. They are our sisters, our friends, and our voices. Love 'em. 💓
I was actually in tears as I was watching this. I have been a fan of this legendary and iconic girl group for a very long time. Their songs bring so many memories of my life. especially the happiest ones. VIVA forever SPICE GIRLS. I wish one day, they will be all complete.
I know it was hard for Geri, but I do respect her. It takes a lot to have not only the girls but the whole world as a fan base and have the courage to put your mental and physical health first. Sometimes fame can overwhelm the strongest of people, and our mind and bodies start to strain. She was suffering with depression and a very dangerous eating disorder due to stress. I'm glad she push through and made it back.
You invested time, money, love, and energy into the group. Her leaving the girls, it was like she left you too. You love the Spice Girls and it broke your heart. The girls were a love for you. I get it.
truediva18 oh yeah no joke. the amount of time I spent in front of the TV or radio trying to record their latest music videos or live appearances or radio interviews and the Money i spent on their various CD Singles and Albums and Pepsi cans and chupa chups lollipops was exhausting but I loved it and got her just to leave like that was not right. Hahahah there will always be one brat in every group. Justin was the brattest of all. Never wanted an act wd his group ever again. I salute geri atleast she was able to do small reunions like in VS and olympics
I have to say tho, maybe she wasnt just being a brat. Her saying this is because she takes full responsibility cuz she truly is sorry. But there are many 90s bands where individuals suffered being in the band, losing their own identity. In such a moment it truly can be a mental challence. Not to mention it can be really unhealthy. She did what she had to do. And perhaps Spice Girls are still relevant till this day is because of that, she left at their highpoint, making the world crave for more.
I love these ladies. Geri was such an important member because she really connected with the fans. Love seeing this real and sincere vulnerability from her and I especially love her bond with Mel B. ❤️❤️❤️
that's why they are the best girl band in history, because they were genuine, individually and as a group of friends. and the girl power they embraced was not just a marketing stunt, they went through all kinds of girl triumphs and challenges, and persisted. Sometimes they fought alone, but eventually managed to reconnect. Good for them.
let's be honest, They made it work with all 5, they made it work as a 4 piece (w/o Geri) and they made it work as a 4 piece (w/o Victoria). But without either Emma, Mel B or Melanie freaking C, none of their reunions would have worked. For me, they are the 3 core members of the group. Don't get me wrong I love all of them and they are all singers but the 2 Mels and Emma are legit performers. I still hope though that before any of them retire, we would see all 5 of them again perform in a concert
All 5 members are equal when it comes to contribution in the group. Geri and Victoria also had their turns to lead. They don't have main leader. Geri wrote most of their songs and she's the brains behind the band. Ginger and Posh were the stars of the Spice Girls. It will definitely never work if only the 3 of them.
Fingers crossed they announce a world tour for Americas and Asia Pacific!! I have heard Mel B talk about an Australian tour and hope it happens because it will open the gates to more!! and fingers crossed Victoria jumps on board even if only for one or two dates.
I really don't like the way Geri left out Victoria in her apology speech. She should had included her because at the end of the day there are FIVE girls who got them where they are today and they should stick together even if Victoria did decline to join them which she did.

It's Victoria's choice if she declines to rejoin the girls at the end of the day but because of that she shouldn't get shit chucked at her by the other girls. This is not the first time either this has happened.
I am pretty sure it was not intended to intentionally diss Victoria. Though I would like to say Victoria was actually also the very person who made sure Geri was never forgotten, in the documentary 'Giving you everything' Victoria said "It was never the same when she left, other members would say oh it's great we could do more complicated dance moves, but that's not what we were about, we were about a vibe, we were about five girls" so i would somehow know Geri wouldn't have intended to not include her, i think it was purely because all four of them were there together and it was in the moment. The girls all love each other too much.
I even heard the crowd say 'Where's Posh' and even booing Geri because of her leaving Victoria out in her speech. You can even hear it in the video. I did and I would had done the same if I saw that in a concert. The other girls may have been in a moment without Posh but still at the end of the day this is the Spice Girls we are talking about here especially as Victoria did stick around after Geri had originally left the band. Geri should had mentioned or even acknowledged Posh regardless if she is no longer in the band or not.
I agree. Geri was the only one to actually leave the band. Victoria never left, she just didn't rejoin them on a totally unnecessary reunion tour. They already did a reunion tour with all five of them. Why did they need to do it again? Not that people weren't for it, but Victoria shouldn't be treated like a 'leaver' for not joining them and Geri absolutely should have included her in her apology. There wasn't three other women she let down 21 years ago, there were four. Victoria may have let them down by choosing not to rejoin them, but that's very different then abruptly leaving a worldwide superstar girl group mid-tour.
I must have missed something but Victoria simply decided to focus on her fashion brand last I checked. She never said she wasn't still a spice girl. She will always be Posh Spice to me.

As much as I love to see them 5 all together again, what the others said was true, you can't make someone do something they don't want to do and they did say Victoria is terrified performing now. Although, she did promise that she was going to watch them on of the shows and she didn't. I think it would have meant a lot to the fans if she showed up even on the last night. Not even to sing, just to show up, I think would have been enough. She could've just come up to the stage on the last night at the very least but she chose to attend a wedding instead.

She should have apologized to Victoria as well. Victoria carried on with the group through thick & thin when she left. Even Mel C wanted to be out of the group that time & yet Victoria stayed behind Mel B & Emma. If Victoria has turned into Ungrateful Spice now, Geri should be the first one to understand her.. and the fact that she is now emulating Victoria’s fashion wanting to be the new Posh of the group through her fashion. She totally left out Victoria with that speech.
Victoria didn't even show up to her wedding even though she is godmother to Geri's first child, she doesn't follow any of them except Mel C on social media, it's pretty obvious she thinks she's above them now and doesn't care anymore so why should she when she's not even there?
I dont like that she always apologyzes for her leaving, shes in need of attention and she wants to be a spice girl because her solo career Turned out to be a failure after just few songs. Why is she imitating Posh Spice? I noticed that too
Marcus Reindl Victoria follows Emma aswell. Friends not being as close as they use to be YEARS later doesn’t make one seem like she’s better then the rest. That’s just life. She doesn’t have to be best friends with all of them just because your Nostalgia wants her to be. She’s a human being so if she’s only close to 1 or 2 of them now then that’s her life.

Geri is my favourite member and Vistoria is my least liked but... this is not the same and I really miss her. I don't like that Geri didn't mention her - especially when she's the one who was in exactly the same situation 21 years ago. I don't like in this 2019 Tour the fact the whole band acts and pretends like there was no fifth spice girl at all, lol. Anyway nice to see 80% of Spice Girls together performing.
Exactly my thought. Geri is a hypocrite in that respect because SHE was the one who left in 1998 and Posh still stuck by the band after that. Plus Posh was there when Goodbye was first originally released so Geri should had at least mentioned her as well as the other girls as a sign of being a united group even with Vic not being in the picture. By Geri not mentioning Victoria at all feels like a stab in the back to me.
I don't think they used to mention Geri by performing after she left... It's normal. We all know what happened and there is no reason to speak about it during a concert.
as much as a third album with geri wouldve been nice, i genuinely think continuing wouldve legitimately killed her. being in the spice girls and the flack from the press that she got as a result exacerbated her bulimia and ultimately it was better for her to leave
Because she's not a member of the band when this came out and she refused to sing all of the Forever songs when they reunite the last time. So basically this tour is the first time Geri learned to sing Goodbye, Holler, and Let Love Lead The Way.
I hope that one day in near future, Zayn Malik realize his mistake & go to reunite & apologize to 1D, because his departure was really alike Geri Both of them left in the middle of the tour without telling everyone, and they felt like they were exhausted & didn't belong anymore, and sadly, their departure made the end of their band.
