I was at the wembley show where Geri apologised, and honestly when I heard her say "I'm sorry" I really cried, bc for a long time as a child I blamed Geri leaving for the reason the spice girls fizzling out (I don't feel that way anymore, as an adult I understand her reasons) and coming to an end so soon after they took off, and it was finally as though she acknowledged it and really regretted it. But everything happens for a reason, and we wouldn't have this beautiful song if it wasn't for her departure. Watching her sing this and hearing her voice in this song is something I and many other fans never thought would happen, it's such a beautiful moment but a trip at the same time lol. I will love the spice girls until the day I die!
@@elenajouliou9092 Still say her name. She was a member of the group when Geri destroyed it so she's owed an apology too. Geri went out of her way to say every name but hers, that's on purpose.
@@michelleb6475 yes, in the interview 1999, she confirmed that she & Emma was the original writer of Goodbye See in this link: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YEtOJuECBuA.html But after she abruptly left, the other girls rewrote the lyrics to dedicate Geri, such a beautiful sad song
One thing I didn’t like is that when Geri was apologizing to the rest of the group and the fans, she didn’t mention Victoria. I know Victoria wasn’t there but she’ll always be one of the Spice Girls.
Amazing. Thank you so much for this. Back in 98 when our hearts were broke, who would've thought we'd be able to see Geri singing this with the girls at Wembley?
The way Mel stook her 2 fingers up at Geri when she sang “I never dreamt you’d go your own sweet way” is jokes 🤣 - Love Mel, love them all for so many different reasons. What a powerhouse group of individuals that inspire and transcend!
I always found it quite amusing hearing Geri sing Victorias lines (originally in a song about Geri) but now could be applied to Vicky not joining the girls
@@noecases5940 I found that the 2019 was lazy, too many dancers which made it look unorganized & sloppy, and the huge stage kind of ruined the vibe of girls being split up so far apart... the 2019 in my opinion was a slight downgrade from the 2007. but I agree that the clothing was better, & the colourful stage made it look & feel more like Spice World. The 2007 was dark and dreary, lacked colour, the outfits were too plain, and it didn't feel like a Spice Girls show. But it did have better choreography, better instrumental, better dancers etc.. in my opinion.
@@sounds0fmeows thank you glad I wasn’t the one who noticed it. In some videos I was literally playing find Waldo with the girls bc their clothes were the same as the dancers! It should never be like that.
I'm crying like a child right now. I was broked when Geri leaves Spice girls, it was like an ending of the era to me. And I'm happy to see them together again
Maravilhoso!
LIPEHALL THIS WAS AMAZINGGG you’ve outdone yourself. You could hear the amazing vocals of the queens clearly and this really touched me. 😭❤️ thank you so much Lipehall 🔥
Victoria... nothing is the same without you. No magical element when you're not five. This song has me crying because it goes to you from our hearts.. the queen of shyness, humour and gentleness 💔💓 💓💓💓💔💔💔💔 I love your soulful, sultry voice and miss it so very much
No retorno em 2007/2008 eu quis MUITO ir no show.
The prophecy came true. Baby sang that there would come a time when Geri would say "never mind the pain, or the aggravation," and here she is, leaving the pain behind and all the "aggravation."
I know this song for a long time. But only today after watching this video I have understood that this song was dedicated to Geri. And now this song is dedicated to Victoria.
