Hello Jaya, i have been referring to your videos as and when required. Today I saw this one. Very good info as always. I would just like to know, that I bring spices like turmeric and red chilly powder in bulk from India. As the climate here is extreme hot and humid in summer, things tend to spoil easily. So I usually store these bulk spices or types of flours which are not easily available here, in the refrigerator. I would like to have ur say. Whether is it ok?

this is why your videos are so loved and looked forward to,❤ because you somehow manage to cover a lot of options and alternatives always patiently providing useful tips and information...also I have been meaning to ask, how to store those spices which after decanting into small spice bottles?as in the remaining maybe 100 or so gms left over in the packet ( for the sake of being economical we purchase in bulk but if we decant them all in big bottles and keep outside they tend to spoil as we use only little everyday, so we are forced to stuff random remaining spices in the fridge for longer shelf life)would appreciate it if you had some tips with regards to storage of leftover spices in the plastic packets after filling the jars...sometimes the same happens with pulses and dals too that are left behind in small quantities...do let me know😊!

Hello, thank you so much for your time and writing up a kind comment. For spices I always avoid buying them in bulk as they use to loose their aroma and freshness very quickly. For remaining spices I keep them in freezer as they have a long shelf life at least 6-10 months extra. For pulses, if you noticed they spoiled in cabinet then you can transfer them in fridge, it will help definitely. 😊
