Awesome, do you mix and master remotely? If so would you use the vermona on customer mix / masters?

Yup, love mine as well! it's a bit quirky as i get a interference of electricity but i think it has to do w/the voltage here in where i live in Bolivia. thanks for the video!

But the problem about using the vermona on the entire drums is that you sacrifice the stereo mix of the drums right ? Otherwise , how do you proceed ?
@phable
@phable 2 года назад
True. You could use two though. ;) Honestly, I use it mostly on individual mono drums (Kicks and Percussion) or as a parallel effect, where I drive the drums heavily and mix it back to the original signal.

Mid Side processor in your Daw: encode before output, decode on input channel, but the effect of vermona (or all analog mono processor) is only in mid or in side channel. MSED voxengo free vst for this trick. Or process Mid and Side in two separate process and merge in Daw the result

do you mean layering the original sound and hp filtered sound with reverb on it?
@LondraCalibro9
@LondraCalibro9 Год назад
@@joonoonoo9643 you can do both as there’s a mix knob and pre/post routing for the reverb. It’s a really flexible box.

@@LondraCalibro9 Oh I get it. Thanks! May I ask what's your thought on comparsion between Sherman Filterbank 2 and Lancet?
@LondraCalibro9
@LondraCalibro9 Год назад
@@joonoonoo9643 I don't have the sherman, but am looking to buy one next and have researched quite heavily - theres a good starsky carr tutorial/demo - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hP-qv7OCPOA.html My take-aways: the sherman is more pricy but has 2 x 12db multi-mode filters and midi as opposed to the vermonas cv/gate and single filter. I think the vermona seems to be a little more straightforward/traditional filter and the sherman more aggressive/experimental/complex - but both can get very out there/crazy - the vermona can still kinda do FM and AM and get heavily distorted, can do way more than it appears at first glance. The vermona will give more instant gratification wheras to get more from the sherman you need to learn it more as an instrument - but both have tons of flexibility/functions - theres tons of pretty mediocre YT vids of loops being destroyed with Shermans, but far few more subtle/interesting ones - which seems to point to this. Both seem built super well - I can confirm the Vermona build is excellent. People complain about the sherman always being distorted/noisy by the gain having to be high to trigger the gate, but this seems to be easily negated by using midi to trigger it. But again, I think this gnarly quality is part of the character/sound - it would seem quite essential to read the manual to get the most from it. If you are quite new to synths/filters/modulation it may be best to get the vermona, but an owner of both would be able to give you a better idea. There are other choices, but most are either super expensive or have a design I feel less appealing. I have a few Vermona products, they are one of my favourite companies.
