What about the PEDAS GILA? The sambal looks YUMMY! I live in Dublin/Ireland, sometimes i buy chilli padi from, Asian shops. They are imported from Spain and cost, 25 euros a kilo, which is 409,674 Indonesian Rupiah. You are lucky to enjoy delicious food.

Out of topic, one time i eat at the street food stall and try their green sambal. i was about to complaint, how it was not spicy at all. but then... slowly the spicyness started to built up and boom 🤣.. i was having an intense reaction because of it.

Sambal pecak looks similar to Salsa in Mexico, those fried cat fish are delicious, enjoy them with steamed rice, sambal terasi and some fresh tomatoes, cucumber..

If it was really spicy he would be wearing gloves. I've eaten there. Not any spicier than other places. I live in Medan. The pepper is called a cabe rawit here - pronounced chabay rahwit. Habaneros are much hotter. I grow them here and every Indonesian that has tried them, thinks I'm crazy. The habaneros are too hot for them. Just made some guacamole and chana masala with my habaneros today.
