Andhra food is one of the best if one can tolerate and enjoy the 🥵 spicy 🌶 aspect. Their pappu Podi ( gun powder ) is truly out of the world. . Pappu Podi with a copious amount of desi ghee...mmmmm... can’t describe!! I can see your expression - fully satisfied -and for Rs 150 - unlimited ( though no wastage) khana is a bargain any where!

This is authentic Andhra food..., from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states...This is hugely popular in Chennai and Bangalore as well, as these two huge cities are close to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana borders... Btw, There is Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi...You will get this kind of food...
That thick curd in Telugu is called "Gadda perugu" Summers in village with Avakayi annam and later perugu annama during sankranthi .... those days were lit lol

South Indian food is awesome. Bas vaha ki authentic chize jaha milti hai vo jagah bahot conjusted hoti hai. Agar yahi khana koi achhe ambitious me khane ko mile to jannat lagegi.
The brown mirchi you ate is called as "Uur-Mirapakay". Most of the people in south india eat it with Dal or Buttermilk. Tour Dal chutney is known as "Kandi-Podi". You should mix oil in Podi not ghee. You can mix ghee in all the curries or all the different types of dals but remember that you have to mix oil with all the kinds of Podis.
The guy next to you completely misguided you. The proper way of eating andhra meal is: 1) Mix Podi with Rice with oil/ghee (Don’t mix curd/Raita) 2) Mix Gongura with rice with ghee/oil. Munching onion and/or green chili 3) Mix Daal (Pappu) with Rice and ghee. You can munch gongura pickle and chilly 4) Mix Curry with Rice 5) Mix the Toordal chutney (Rotipachadi) with Rice or you can use it for curd rice munching 6) Next eat Sambar and Rice with papad If you still have space in your stomach you can eat Rasam and curd with Rice. This is the correct order.

I belong sincerely to a Punjabi family,but having zero tolerance for spicy food,I've taken abode in southern indian delicacies. I have always enjoyed food when my mum cooks sambhar,idlj,dosa and uthpam along with coconut chutney (really the only southern dishes served in northern India). Would love to visit and explore beautiful southern food. I'm so sure I'd fall in love being beautifully balanced the taste that is
