The parent talk really got to me, im someone who’s always had parental figures but never an actual parent. My mother passed when I was six and my father was and still is a coward. (Ghosted my brother and I our entire lives and about two years ago he randomly came back for a month only to ghost me on my 19th birthday, yay.) My grandmother took us in and all I’m going to say is, no amount of material items or false positives will ever be enough to change emotional and verbal abuse. Then the part about you going into the military. I don’t know if it’s true but if it is then I just wish that I could give you the biggest bear hug and never let go. I haven’t personally witnessed the horrors of the military but from a very young age let’s just say I knew to not take a knife out of a wound unless you know how to pack it. My very first memory is of me risking my life to save someone I love. Then imagine finding out all these years later, the person that I thought was the villain, was just fighting for his sanity while being pushed to the edge. Now that pops is gone, it’s my turn to take on that bullshit, I’d rather die. I’m sorry for going off on a tangent, bottom line, I can understand how traumatic losing someone you love is and especially when it’s in a violent or barbaric way. My mother had a brain aneurysm and when she died she was bleeding out of every orifice in her head, eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. I never actually SAW it but it was described to me and with everything that I had seen up until that point (keep in mind I was 6, I’m 21 now) so my minds eye still creates that impression of it and I can’t get it out of my head. If the military story was accurate, which I’m pretty sure it is, then I’m so sorry for what you went through, had to learn, what you lost, and what you’re still trying to push down, Amazing work as always A 💜 Also if you really do have shoes older than me then u deserve a good pop on the side of the head bc WHAT SHOES IS LASTING LONGER THAN A DOG OR A CAT SIR WE ARE NOT DIRT POOR GO TO WALMART AND GET YOU SOME REGULAR SHOES
