I prefer "Fulgrim Transitioned": it's the most fitting name for a badass model of Fulgrim remade as the daemon primarch of Slaanesh, controversial enough to be memorable and generate interest outside the 40k hobby 😊community, plus it alludes to GW's ongoing efforts at greater inclusivity!

Sanguinius needs to stay dead, and I say that as a BA player. The sanguinor would be a great centerpiece though, and as a warp entity that shows up when it’s needed.. it would make alot more sense thematically than random named character X being in every army. We need more generic HQs and centerpieces

I can see another heresy box set but think it's more likely to just to show off new armour like the last one. Don't see them making it 3.0 or plastic primarchs. Yes new primarchs to show them at the end of heresy but not plastic

As a heresy player, HH needs FAQs, the system is pretty well but there sre some units than just needs point increase and decreases, only reason to make a new edition is to give more RoW to certain factions because the ultra marines only have one while dark angels have technically 6.

A new rulebook in a year or two that folds in ZM and some of the expansion mission types (and fingers crossed an official 'Centurion' 1500pts mode) would be good. The Old World books aren't perfect but much better than the heresy stuff, so it would be good if they applied some of that experience. It's also a real pity they crapped the bed on that Exemplary Battles book as it was a good idea to consolidate the EB/Legacy units and Missions and have a drip feed of smaller (rules dense) books, maybe even moving away from big hardback expansion ones.

@@Perkustin I do agree the old world has a very good system , also you are right we have so many units and even sub factions that are on expansions or exemplary battles like the AL effrit, chaos knights , daemon engines and the Astartes hereticus rules that are more relevant with daemon primarch comings, maybe a rerelease of the libers with all this. Also it would be nice if they buffed some stuff for Solar auxilia and Mechanicum, would be nice if they add bound daemons and Militia and give them proper rules. Blackshields and shattered legions are very recent but they could be added to any liber in that case. Also would be nice to have a more narrative mode and. Extra narrative RoW like the old world has with those journal , not optimal but full of flavour and options.

@@andrewbakescakes9684 imperial fists are the loyalist poster boys so I doubt that they will , but what they can do is buff some legions like world eaters and raven guard , but a faction that really needs a nerf are space wolves they literally have a a chaplain and a apothecary in one and a reaction that they can charge you in your own turn, contemptor needs to be more expensive or have more expensive options, another things that needs to be done is to remove the character keyword of units like suzerain and inner circle knights because they can literally keep a primary busy for a whole game if not kill him, and if you play Alpha legion like me you can give them power daggers for +1 initiave when they charge, technically fight first in their case 😉

@@andrewbakescakes9684 I think simply removing the fists' advanced reaction would go a long way, it's the fact they've got that in their back pocket that's unfair imo. My idea for dreads is to make them always hittable on a 3+ in CC, they have good initiative so they would still be more 'skilled' than humans but mobbing them would be a real threat. I think lascannons should lose sunder and then see if more is needed. Swingy Points costs really put me off current 40k, where you end up with marines becoming a horde army etc.

I don't agree. Both of the primarchs who have returned have changed significantly, to the point where Guilliman is the Blade of the Emperor and Lion El'Johnson is the Shield of the Emperor. Having Dorn, the Praetorian of Terra return as an unstoppable living onslaught would be a large departure, but it would be interesting to me.

Not really sure I buy this set from the new source TBH. I can't see FW/SGS having a five year plan to phase out resin when they've committed to put out at least another year of TOW stuff in with some resin, and it looks like main GW's plan to remove Finecast is going to take the better part of fifteen years. Nor do I think GW would have really started on a Warhound without knowing exactly how many sprues it was allocated and therefore how much they would have to charge for it. And a plastic SOT Dorn but a pre-ascension Angron just feels thematically weird. Especially if there's another resin Angron coming too.

I belive the big box with salamander and iron warriors even more now as the transfer sheet included in the new weapons upgrade command set for 30k on pre order this weekend has transfers for soh, fists, salamanders and iron warriors!

The game definitely needs all its points cost changed and some serious decisions on weapons profiles. You’re often paying silly points for units that can’t do any damage and are very vulnerable. Whilst some units like Contemptors and heavy support squads with lascannons are too cheap for what they do.

Resin used to give detail that plastics couldn't match. For that, the more annoying aspect of working with it was doable. However, the crisp detail GW manages to put on plastic minis nowdays makes that one pluspoint of resin obsolete (at least in my opinion). A plastic Warhound though, that sounds 100% amazing.

It's not just the detail. Moulds for resin casting are orders of magnitude cheaper than plastic. Detail aside, it just wasn't economical to do characters and specialist games in plastic

It is very likely that HH will grow as the third flagship alongside 40k and AOS to fit GW's three-year release cycle. Considering the limited support for the rules while they keep releasing new models into the range, it feels like they are working on a 3.0 version (similar to the transition from 40k's 6th to 7th edition) and than they will able to sell the new rules again. Just a reminder: HH 2.0 got a CG trailer during its first release, so it is very likely that they have more plans for HH behind the scenes.

Tbh it’s probably going to take that long for plastic to achieve the same quality of detail, intricate design and depth. The FW Angron is like 12 years old and the detail is better then the plastic models of today.

Just remember, if it's big shoulder termies, they're NOT Saturnine. We don't know what Saturnine looks like. Big shoulder termies have been name Vulkan's master-crafted assault terminator suits. So the fact that they're possibly painted as Salamanders in the box would make sense

@@quantuminion6396 no we haven't. There's no artwork of actual *Saturnine* armor. GW/BL have NEVER shown what Saturnine looks like. The artwork you're probably thinking of is from the short story Deeds Endure and is of a dozen-ish suits of Vulkan's handmade Master Crafted Assault Terminator armor. On the very last page of Deeds Endure, in the Meduson anthology as well as The Shattered Legions anthology.

I don’t want to see a Heresy 3rd Edition. I’d rather not have a points overhaul and have to buy another set of books and all that faff. GW has demonstrated here that constant balance passes aren’t necessary when you don’t play cheesy competitive lists. Are dreadnoughts strong? Yes. Do people rant about them like they ranted about Eldar? No, because by and large the community tries to be narrative instead of competitive. I wish they’d just let this sit as a success and keep us in a place where we don’t have to be afraid to buy a new rulebook in case it gets updated.

I'm guessing that a Salamanders Vs Iron Warriors box-set featuring older marks of armour would probably be themed around the Dropsite Massacre, because I'm pretty sure that'd be the only time those two legions went against each other, and the only time in the Heresy that the Salamanders fought at strength (aside from the Battle of Nocturne, which was against the Death Guard).

The reason for the resin phase out is to do with regulatory stuff from the government with regards to plastics - how they are used and disposed of, with "single use" etc to help with the environment.

I have 2 questions: First is fallen got anything that will we get new models for them or Luther ?? And second will they get a full codex or a codex supplement for fallen?? P.S. yeah I know Risen/Inner circle companions count as aloyal fallen but I hope chaos/renagade fallen get back in model format

I would have to check the DA codex, but I wouldn't be surprised if they added the keyword just for the Crusade agenda to make Cypher a viable selection for a Fallen in the third mission. Looking at the DA codex and lack of books since the Lion one (Lazarus was clearly written waaay before Mike Brooks's and delayed) I don't think GW will touch the DA storyline. I don't expect anything in this regard will be picked up until MAYBE we get SM bikes properly upgraded, thus Ravenwing and therefore not this edition. I hope I'm wrong and we get the continuation of the story and a Fallen detachment with a Kill Team box, but for now I'm using a mix of HH Dark Angels, Chaos and DA veteran models with 'Veterans of the Long War'-detachment.

Horus Heresy 2.0 is kinda crunchy but mechanically sound. I don't think a 3.0 is needed so much as a points adjustment. Some units are just way too cheap currently for what they can do and others are silly expensive. We do our best as players to use restraint and try to have a fluffy battle but it could stand some improvement.

anything about the MK IV armour being re-done into the modern scale? so its my fave armour pattern but the existing kit which was done under to older size of space marines isnt compatable with any of the modern upgrade sets for HH (and most of the old ones are gone). also in reguards to FW resin being phased out, why would they also do reveals of all new models for old world in FW resin? i think they will scale back how much is done but probably its not going away for a long time still

Salamanders and Iron Warriors finally getting some love! Even if its HH Ill take it haha. Makes sense though, seeing as the Sons of Horus, Imperial Fist, Salamanders and Iron warriors dont get much love in the current 40k setting. Now give me some character models for the dragons boys! 5 years from now I can resin being almost phased out. I mean its currently happening right before our eyes with this editons new plastics models. Once the Kreig hit the shelves thats pretty much most of the Guard FW line and most everything else will be either gone for good or changed to plastic for HH

I think with Aos reveals, they will showcase the stormcast and skaven other releases and their battletombs or codexes. Not to sure what they are. Then we will see the later releases for aos later in the year

I have been told by GW staff that they are indeed phasing out resin entirely and not producing any new ones. I know because I got the last T'au Firesight Marksman team from Wayland games and the WH website also has none left. Asked at a couple of stores near me and they confirmed it. This backs up the theory that GW are going to replace resin models with plastic, but it's going to take time. I believe that also applies to HH as well, but as always, wait for a confirm on that. It does make sense. Being relatively new to WH and getting that Marksman team... It's like working on cheese. Not great quality model, the resin is horrible, needs different glue to assemble, more expensive to produce... There really is no reason why GW should continue with Resin when plastic is the better quality. Both financially and consumer quality wise.

Update on this. I was checking Wayland and GWs website yesterday night and discovered they HAVE restocked that particular kit on both, but it's now pricier to get on Wayland than GW, regardless of the recent increase. That said. I don't doubt the Intel from the staff, it's likely the last run of the kit since GW do appear to be winding down the stock of it. Wayland have only got 4 kits in this new batch, so it's likely it's not sticking around.

Personally I think that maybe all the large resin kits will be fazed out whereas the characters and upgrades will continue to be resin as they’re smaller and probably cheaper to produce then say a Thunderhawk in resin

Okay here are my thoughts that have zero insider knowledge: 1. No way are we seeing plastic primarchs in 30K - Angron transcended is happening in resin, there is no need for a non-transcendent Angron since we already have that. That means no plastic Dorn but I’d bet there is a resin siege version of him on the way. 2. Yes to Salamanders being repped on the next box - give me the flame daddies. 3. Forgeworld resin isn’t going anyway anytime in the new future. I’ve picked up some of the new HH characters in Forgeworld resin and was absolutely blown away by how fantastic the casts were and the details. So much easier to assemble nowadays compared to stuff even a few years ago 4. If they start doing full scale Titans in plastic then I might need to remortgage my house. Also appreciated the long dark silence until the choir burst in at the last moment.

lol does HH work? Its 7.5th edition, not sure if it can be good. The same trouble issues of rules interpretation still follow 7th. Still feels like you need a team (smaller now) of analyst and a flow chart to play

Would be great if they start to put out more character models in plastic instead of resin for HH. Never understood the Ahriman, Fafnir Rann versus every other character model

Hopefully the new HH box is not a new edition, just a new boxed set. It's a bit soon for another edition unless they shift HH to the 3 year edition churn like 40k.....which I was hoping wouldn't happen.
