Chef Esther Choi teams up with her friend and food TV icon Adam Richman, an expert from The HISTORY Channel’s “The Food That Built America,” for a global spicy street food crawl in Jackson Heights, Queens.
They kick things off with aguachiles drenched in a habanero mango sauce - the perfect spicy wake-up call for the day. Then onto classic NYC pizza with a Mexican twist: chicken tinga and al pastor topped with a creamy chiltepin hot sauce.
The adventure continues at a Tibetan momo truck, where they try mom’s recipe for chili-drenched laphing and juicy dumplings. Finally, they finish strong with ghost pepper-infused Bangladeshi fuchka and jhalmuri, which leaves Adam in pure pain.

We need Uncle Roger to join for an episode of "Heat Eaters." And for Esther and Joshua Weisman to do a "Hot Ones Versus" where each level is a hot wing AND spicy ramen (and each round you don't answer, you must eat a spicy wing AND a mouthful of progressively spicy ramen; BOTH get spicier with each level). But because each level is TWO spicy foods, if you can't take the heat before Level 5, you're allowed to "throw in the towel" after getting it from Uncle Roger.

it's so amazing to see more people are getting to know Bangladeshi foods, I like how Adam already knew it , and fuska is just one of our countries most famous especially among students from every age from 8 to 20 and more and they eat after their school With a request like increasing the spiciness and I'm not kidding they will eat a whole naga chili which is similar to ghost paper, and also jhal muri with like extra extra green chili chopped up with the spicy oil and cooked chickpea pest , favorite all the time, everyone should try at least once, thank u for introducing our legacy🍛

Wow, Adam's "the man should walk on the outside due to the chamber pots" story was so funny. My stepmom always said I have to walk on the outside, and when I asked why, she said it's from the middle ages, when men carried swords, and for right-handed men, the scabbard would hang on the left hip, and so, if there was danger, and the man had to draw the sword, he wanted the lady to be on the right side, so he wouldn't hit her with the sword, while drawing.

I recall learning that men walked on the outside because of the chamber pots thing, bearing in mind that old English houses had an overhang on the upper floors. I suppose it could be related to swords too, loads of body language stuff relates to right handed use of swords, etc.

As a NY'er for all 35 years of my life, there isn't a place on earth more diverse than Queens. Idc where you were born on this planet, there's a neighborhood in Queens with your people. It would take multiple lifetimes to try all of the food.
