In case anyone wanna know, the green strings are most likely to be gong cai, they are like tall lettuce which being cut and sun dried. The part you see is the stem.

In Chinese this is called 贡菜 (Gong Cai). It is very popular vegetable served pickled, in dry pot and hot pot.

Ah that's the actual name, thanks for that. We called it asparagus lettuce here in Indonesia, pretty common side dish on Chinese New Year, served pickled too.

It’s called Gongcai贡菜 from Sichuan, China! It’s a sun dried veg. My fav in hotpot. Glad you like it!!!!!!

girl! i saw some cuttlefish in the store earlier but didnt get any. next time i will and put together a spread similar to this. 😋 also do you mind showing us how to prepare the cuttlefish? thats why i didnt buy any because i dont know how to prepare it. here it looks grilled. wondering if its similar to preparing octopus.
