Unfortunately, that is getting harder and harder to do as the channel has gotten more popular, especially with chains of comments and responding back and forth. The comment system on RU-vid is just not set up well to handle that many comments with the time in the day that I can give to it. Introducing our Patreon page. We have had it up for a long time now, but have not really utilized it and if you had looked at it before, you would not have much of a reason to join. I’m kinda annoyed by this whole video I’m looking to see what the ppf is and you have the numbers the chart, along with having the different setting of watts and difference settings on the dial I’m tryna figure out was those readings in 100 percent or on the lowest setting or what? It doesn’t really say or anything so it’s not really any help

I've got the Mars Hydro 600 which is also 100w from the wall. Its not dimmable though, which is a nice feature. Perfect light for a 2x2 tent for mother's, early veg, or seed runs

The addition of the dimmer on all of their lights has been a really great addition, and was the thing I liked the least about last years versions.

Honestly I've seen some massive buds from the Mars hydro 600 so it does work great for flowering. In time try to upgrade to a TS 1000 you will love it, or a spider farmer as they give some dense buds

I have 2 sprouts starting on there second set of fan leafs and I have been running my SPF1000 around 14 inches from them and I was just informed that I should keep them at 24 inches so I moved them. Does anybody have any advice on this?

would that make it equal to the SF-2000?? I have a 3x3 for a tent and am looking for a light... maybe I should get two of 1000 like what you have instead of going for the one 2000?

I have defective daisy chaining on first attempt. For some reason the slave controls the master but slave puts out no light of its own unless plugged in the wall

Both light have to be plugged into the wall, the connecting cord is only to send the on/off or dimming signal, there is no power transferred across it.

I just bought SF1000D and it is only drawing 65-75W which I find odd. It is nice and bright etc, but do you think its normal to draw this little?

That seems a little weird. I have never tested the 1000D specifically, but I think that it is listed as pulling 100w from the wall. I would reach out to Spider Farmer and see what they have to say about it as that may be a defective light.

I got a AC Infinity 120mm fan that sits right on top for whisper quiet cooling

That is awesome! For us the airflow of the exhaust fan is usually enough to keep them cool, though we also usually have a fan or two in there moving air as well.

How long did it take from the day you ordered to the day you got the light? Heard they've got some delivery issue...

You definitely need to have some airflow in the tent itself, for us it hasn't been an issue though. Between the fan we have moving air across the pants and the exhaust fan, it has kept them reasonable.

@@JayLuan 2 weeks at most. But I ordered about 3 months ago so they might have issues now I'm not sure. However I do wish I ordered two of the 1000s so I could have a better spread. Other than that I love this light

I have this light .on the back the dimmer panel is another switch, that increases the power. Is this for when your plant is in bloom ?

I haven't tried the 1000D, but I believe the main difference is that the D does not have a dimmer.

Hello I have a space 2’x6’ I plan to grow 3 plants in the space . Will 3 of these lights work for flowering ?

Yeah, if you space them out over the entire length you could get pretty good coverage with 3 of them =)

@@TheHippieGeeks After searching for a few days, i actually found that the SF 1000 non-D is the better variant. The D version is a washed down version for people i guess that are on a tighter budget. The SF 1000 non-D is definetly the best bang for the buck from what i can see.

I have a 3x3 tent and need a light... so you think this would be to small? I only plan on growing 1 to 3 plants at a time.

It honestly depends on how large you plan on your canopy to be. A single SF-1000 will cover about 2'x2' or a little larger with good coverage. If you are going to try to fill a 3'x3' tent from wall to wall you may be disappointed, but it will get you started at least =)

Go my one arrived today and when i turn it off at the box, the LEDs around the edges stay dimly illuminated, is this normal or is my light defective? Contacted spider farmer but no reply as yet. Great video! Cheers

@@TheHippieGeeks thank you very much that would be fantastic! I finally got an email back, telling me to try the switches in different positions, but it still doesn't fully switch off. I've emailed them again with photos of the switches in position to switch off and then the diodes. I wonder what they will say as the person that emailed me back says that sounds normal! The silicone seal over the diodes is also got dirt and aluminium shavings stuck underneath, with some of the shavings large enough to poke through from the pcb through the silicone! I hope I've just been really unlucky!

I would note the issues you are having with some pictures in your reply email, and ask for a replacement unit. I have only had good experiences with their customer service so far, hopefully they will make it right for you.

@@TheHippieGeeks They have contacted me again and now they want me to rewire a wall socket! I'm just getting fobbed of by them. Can't believe i bought a new light and it was defective out the box and now they are asking me to do elctricians work for them, is illegal in the uk for non qualified people to repair, change, rewire electrical eqipment and your home's wiring. I'm severely concerned about this!

Are you talking about seedlings? At an early stagfe we like to have them around 100-200 PAR or so, which just kind of depends on what you want to to with hanging height versus percentage on the dial.

Yeah, the dimmer just gives you more flexibility in light levels. Instead of only being able to move the light further away, you can dim the light and have it closer. That allows you to save a little on electricity as it will draw less power.

Yall should touch on how to determine what setting you should start on or be on with your light and how to tell. Ive always been told to start at 25% and then move up daily until the plant has negative reactions to it then back off a bit and start going. something that everyone skims over imo

I’ve just got one of these for my little 80x80x180 ,,, I noticed it has 2 on off buttons but I have no instructions for the second one , does anyone know what it’s for ???

The switch on the back allows you to disable the controls on the front when you are daisy chaining lights together, and allows the other light to control it without interference =)

Why is it so hard to figure out the Space from the top of the plants

With any light really, you just need to try it out and see how the plant responds. We typically start high, in the 24"-36" range just to acclimate, then move them down a couple of inches every day until we get to the 18" range, and the watch the plants and adjust from there.
