All depends on how much/how many times you intend to harvest! Spider Farmer seems like the better long term choice as it contains higher quality parts, but if I had to choose I would go with the Mars Hydro only because it has a detachable driver!

To be able to achieve this, you have to be able to grow with a minimum of 8 weeks vegi time and with SOG, SCROG and LST or Hydro because only the light on earth does not bring that These are only numbers where people can be convinced so that the sellers are better off selling the lights

Look any of us who have done a few grows know's this video is bs and just crap read of websites and stolen from coco 4 can. Fell bad for newbeis paying for a sp-1000 when the mars is and extra 50watts and rapes it dead in a par. Fell worse for people buying hlg 100's though lmfao. I got suckered when i started out with the sp-1000 myself with 218 3030 sumsungs at 97watt quickly did some reeading after it and found the ts-1000 342 3030 leds at 150w, the goto onto migro and coco 4 can and felt like i got raped by idiots selling the sp-1000 which cost more. Took me a few weeks of reading and learning and the more i did the more i got angry. Ill just be grabing another ts-1000 and running 2 in my 90cm x 50cm x 180cm tent so and the bitch will own, cant fit a tsl 2000 and already have 1 ts 1000 so its ganna be perfect.

Are you thinking the mars ts1000 is a bit better than the spider sf1000...im just about to buy one or the other. Thanks

@@capitaldd3693 I can't tell you that because I have never used such small lights I move in the range of 600-1190 watt led power so the main light has 650 watt + 5 addon bars 2 with 395nm660nm730nm (75 watts per bar) 2 with 385nm (75 watt per bar) and one with 730 nm (60 watt per bar)

how much do you yield per plant with the sf2000? is it worth the money for growing autos

I usually do unless the ambient humidity is near spot on. Most grow lights are waterproof! Be sure to check first though. As for fans I think they would be fine but dont point the humidifier straight at it, ect.

I went with the mars hydro thanks to your review! Before, it used to be at 27% humidity, but it is now at 34% humidity with the humidifier being out on the hallway, so I will most likely give this a try when i get the chance 😂

Yeah man if you're not running a humidifier at about 50%, you're in risk of powder mildew and such...

@@aceheru7855 thats plain up wrong, high humidity increases powdery mildew chances, keep it at most at 60 if you dont have good ventilation when in flower.

LED UV is almost useless. You would need a lot of them to actually make just a small difference. Mars Hydro uses only couple of diodes. Proper LED UV diodes are too expensive, inefficient, ineffective and don't last long. They use the cheap ones which are like toys, like the invisible pen marker, or money-checking UV. They use UVA wavelength close to 400nm which is nothing. Maaaaybe it would slightly increase the flavor and aroma, but it will not increase THC or protect against mold/mildew. Only UVB 280-315nm increases THC and protects against pests, and of course you would need some UVA to increase flavor and aroma. And to be even more specific, only UVB wavelength between 280-288nm triggers the biological/chemical reaction in the plant, called R8 protein receptor or something like that, which is a defense mechanism against pests and more THC production. Currently there is only 1 UV light on the market that produces UV 280-288nm, all the other UVB lights go to 290nm. They're good, but not ideal. But the UV LED's on Mars Hydro is almost useless, just a higher price for nothing. You'd be better of with a reptile UV light, or if you want proper 280-288nm then look for solar cure bulbs.

Not that I dont believe you, its just Ive done a fair amount of research and havent heard anyone else say this. Most UVB on the market is around 400nm like you said. And yes, that's some sound information about LED UVB. If you see LED lights with UVA, it's a trap!

K nvm I just read that information myself now. The ideal UVB wavelength is 280nm. If the internet says it, it must be true!

Best bang for your buck between the TS3000 and SF4000? I would go for the SF4000 if I had to pick. I wouldn't stop there though, the Mars Hydro FC series is much better build quality/heat dissipation and PAR coverage. When spider farmer puts out there own "bar" style lights I imagine that will be the better choice! Both are made by the same company, can't go wrong either way 👍

I did a 2 tent test. The sf1000 was destroyed ( utterly destroyed ) by a $100 aponuo amazon led.. the apo yeilded 2oz th sf1000 yeild was under 1 oz.. same seeds same nutes climate controlled. Auto flower seeds so low yeild regardless. Sf is double the price of the identical lights with a different company name on it.

You could chain them together. There is no transfer of power from the larger unit to the other from the drivers. Just the ability to dim them Both.

The Mars still runs Epistar chips on there budget models. They do run Samsung on the new FC series though! I'm undecided on which is best yet going to put them to the test! Personally I wish the SF1000 ran 150 true watts to have a better comparison though.

People caught on to the junk products so they just changed the name. Any light even a damn refrigerator light can and will grow plants....just not well. The heat coming off these lights, in my situation is needed. Saves on paying to keep a heater running!

The reflector/cover works as a heatsink, and also on Mars Hydro you can remove the driver and place it outside with a 2m cable. Not sure about Spider Farmer if the driver is removable. Also the heat on the canopy comes from IR diodes. You can always place a small fan on the lights.

I have mine running from 4 am to 6 pm every day. Had this ts1000 light for a year. And still runs like new. So the heat sink shouldn't be a problem.

Either would work! I have never tried tomatoes under indoor lighting besides starting seeds.

So if someone and thier friends are trying to get these, it could be beneficial to do a group order for a quantity discount. Waiting on him to tell me what they told hjm

The sf1000 might cost you less too run on a monthly basis but it will also produce lower yields and the initial investment will be higher with the sf1000..... So the sf1000 costs more produces less yield and uses less energy but is more efficient on a umole/w basis? Lol whateva if i had a 2 x 2 flowering footprint i would never buy a sf1000 screw that mess if you want better parts go with a xs1500......

@@weedgrownindoors9322 yeah but hang them the same then tell us the par values lmao, what they say we can read from them, the reason to watch you tube vids for comparison is to see real world use. if hung at the same level using the same power they should give the same par values, if not, thats what would determine the better product

They are running at different wattages/quality of diodes and also the reflectors are different. Both have their "sweet spots". I will be doing further testing stay tuned!

@@BeatNCancer It does show how Mars Hydro has a higher footprint. I don't think it disfavors one or the other. This tells me the TS1000 can be hung higher and have the same center value, therefore it's overall brighter. Yea the technical efficiency will go up if you hang it closer, but what point is that if you're getting over a 1000 PAR in the middle and would burn your plants under it?

HLG-240... get it? You buy spider farmer, HLG, and basically any qb, you’re buying from alibaba in the end. Pretty neat huh. There all basically the same burger, just different drive thrus and different condiments.

Pretty sure Mars uses the same samsung diodes just not sure if it's on the TS series or FC series

The Bloomplus BP1000 price tag is nice but I have to say the positioning of the driver will probably cause it to have a short lifespan in comparison to the others!

@@topshelfruns2039 I don’t like the hood design-on the sf1000, has no penetration the light goes horizontal if you don’t it in a grow tent it’s worthless. I own 4 to ts1000 and 2 fc4800, I even own two old purple mars hydro leds I bought used 2 years ago I use for cloning I run them a continuous 24 hours a day and they still work, Mars hydro most improved brand of 2020 great customer service
